Features

Dock Adapters enable any iPod model to connect to the iPod Universal Dock and other products that use the Universal Dock system. You simply insert the Dock Adapter that fits your particular iPod model into the Dock, then plug in your iPod. When you want to connect a different-size iPod, simply pop out the Dock Adapter and insert a new one.

    It really is expensive for just this little piece of plastic, but it sure is helpful when you have an IHome with multiple different IPods. It protects your IPod or your IHome from breaking. If you bend the IPod on addicent, either one or both of the docks will be broken and this prevents that. It is cheap though, that all of the IHomes come with these inserts but the mini. …More

    So the three pack breaks it down to that each dock is 3 bucks. Makes me wonder why Apple did not include it when they released the mini. Sure three bucks adds up, but the mini used to cost less than 150 to make. Jeez, talk about profit. Also, who needs 3 universal docks? Why not sell me one for $5 with free shipping, instead of 3 for $9 plus $5 shipping.
    Anyways, I was disappointed that my iHome did not come with a dock for the mini, so I used my belt clip to give the bottom portion of the iPod stability until this arrived. In the end, all it does is allow your mini to just sit there...If the cost provides you with peace of mind, by all means purchase this product. If you want yo save yourself the $14, place the belt clip at the lower portion of the iPod such that it provides stability when it is in the iHome.     …More

    Spans the generation gap!

    I have just one Ipod, the mini. It was not made for very long, and I had to quit using it when the standard headphone jack got dirty and made playback sound like a scratched record (still not sure how this happened). Having these adapters made it possible to use a dock to connect to speakers, and now I am enjoying all my old faves again! The information was always there, now I have a way to bypass the headphone jack and access it. …More
