First of all, the sleeve may be thin but it is very durable and protects the laptop extremely well. The material that goes over th First of all, the sleeve may be thin but it is very durable and protects the laptop extremely well. The material that goes over the top and bottom of the Mac is very thick, even though the sleeve overall is extremely thin, to the point where you can put a good amount of pressure (probably more than anything a backpack filled with supplies can put on the outside of the sleeve) and you won't feel anything on the inside of the sleeve. One problem some people complain is the computer going to sleep mode when you place your Mac on top of the sleeve, that is partly true but isn't anything bad since the reason this happens is due to the magnet that closes the sleeve and the Mac goes to sleep normally when you close the computer through the use of magnets so this would be the same as closing your Mac to put it to sleep, BUT that is only the case if the center of your laptop is placed direcly over the the magnet on the sleeve, also a simple "fix" would be to turn the sleeve around with the flap to open the sleeve facing downward and placing your laptop on top of the sleeve in this manner and your laptop won't turn off. Another problem that people complain about is whether the plastic material that is placed directly where you slide your computer in the sleeve will scratch the bottom on your computer. What really surprised me was that this is no concern whatsoever since the top of the plastic is covered in the same material that's inside the sleeve and won't scratch it at all and the plastic istelf isnt solid plastic, its more of a flexible plastic that is still really sturdty. All I can say is that the only way that you can see this product for what it really is is to try to go to an apple store and feel the sleeve yourself. This is a great product and I will recommend this product to anyone since it will protect every part of your Mac better than any other sleeve I've used and you can immidietly tell that the case protects the computer.
PS. this is an extremely tight fit with little wiggle room for the laptop, but that's why your paying for it, and a hard shell case on your laptop will make the computer not fit properly but a skin will be no issue. …

Good case with one problem
I just realized that the magnet in my case was responsible for my computer going to sleep all the time. When the case is close and I just realized that the magnet in my case was responsible for my computer going to sleep all the time. When the case is close and your computer is on, it will turn your computer off. I thought there was a problem with my new MacBook Pro, but it's only the case. Otherwise I really like the case, but you have to keep it away from your turned on computer. …

I had the classic incase for my macbook pro I just recently upgraded to a macbook pro with retina and wanted a tight case for it. I had the classic incase for my macbook pro and I was looking for that for this one. The magnet and reviews of the magnets originally threw me off this case. At first, I thought it was weird but it works well. I am really happy with this product. I looked at many other brands and did a lot of research, but I came back to incase because it is the classic case. It fits my macbook perfectly and I'm really glad I went with this case. I wanted to write this review because some of the other reviews originally threw me off this product, but I came back to it and am happy I went with this case. You can't go wrong. …

However there is an answer. You need to keep it away from the power connection (and battery/hard drive maybe?). so if you just spin it round it's fine. I flip mine over too just to be sure.
