This was exactly what the iPad was needing to make it the ultimate mobile gaming system. What sets this apart from the other two controllers in the market is the dual analog sticks which makes twin stick shooters a pleasure. The smaller size makes it very portable as well. Although the protective cover that it comes with does not attach to the device as advertised. This would be a big issue if not were for the zippered bag it comes with. Also it comes with an USB charge cable but not an adapter. Of course I had one, but still would have been nice.

    -Responsive, and well built
    -Bluetooth connection very simple

    Cons:
-Size is seems a little too small for the large number of control.
-Cover/Back piece does not attach well.

At first I was taken back by the small size of the device, seeing photos I figured it would be comparable to any console controller. It's size is more closely related to the original NES controller. Luckily I don't have monster hands, so I can use the controller quite comfortably. Also, the smaller size is also a benefit since it doesn't take up much space in my bag.

I have already enjoyed the controller playing Battle Supremacy. I am new to the game, but using the controller allowed me to be competitive against players who have earned far more powerful tank upgrades. Basically, for some games this will be a huge benefit over touch screen controls for players.

Connection to the iPad was easy, less hassle than any other Bluetooth device I've paired.

Lastly, my biggest complaint. The clear cover does not attach well... or at all. Seems like it should pop on and off, but there is no pop. It does not stay on as a cover, and takes too much work to get it to remain on the back of the controller. iPad covers built by 3rd parties prior to the release of an iPad attach well in almost all cases... how can a manufacturer of both items not mold the cover properly?

I am sure better devices may become available with time. However, I've wanted this device for years. And have been disappointed with the iCade/8Bitty compatibility.

    Pros:
    Well constructed

Rather comfortable in the hands, more so than it would seem (feels like a GameBoy Micro)

    Cons:
Does not work with the Mac at all (even though it is not advertised as such, it simply won't connect)
The so called "cover" that is included with the controller simply will not stay on. This is the reason for 4 stars and not 5. It will stay on the back side barely, and function to add grips to the controller, but it will not stay on the front to protect the buttons.

All around, I would recommend this controller highly! I look forward to giving it plenty of use down the road.

If they couldn't get the cover to work p For $80 I expect perfection, the cover does not stay on, either on the top or the bottom. If they couldn't get the cover to work properly they should have not included it. This left a very bad impression with what would otherwise have been a good product, although the build quality over all could be better...either that or charge a lot less, like $30, and I could have forgiven it. Also, keep in mind that it does not work with anything older than a iPhone 5. If I could have gotten beyond the cover and cost you would have found a fairly responsive and well layed out controller.

  • Joystick is NOT 360 degrees

Instead it seems to have maybe 36 positions. Rather than a smooth rotation, it gives a jerky rotation, which looks terrible in the game and makes it difficult to move about properly.

The Moga joystick works fine, but of course is only usable on the iPhone 5. XBox controllers, while playing the same game on the computer, work fine as well.

I've submitted a support ticket just in case this is an issue only with this particular gamepad, but I'm guessing it's a design flaw. Not worth $80 if it's not as good as a $35 gamepad for consoles.
