Transit has rare combination of brains, beauty body and mind !!

Frankly was a bit reluctant initially to spend my money on a brand which is not popular "yet". Had spent some time listening to both Transit and the Bose Soundlink Mini on display. Frankly Bose was my "first" choice initially but liked Transit in all respects after testing. Was a bit reluctant initially as I hadn't heard much about Transit or Soen Audio. Bose Soundlink Mini is pretty good but Transit is even better in terms of sound quality and form factor in my view. The music sounds "more realistic" in my view. I think if I hadn't listened and had a feel of the product on display, I would have settled for Bose Soundlink Mini. I am glad I did !
Very happy with the sound clarity and amazing sound levels for its footprint. Frankly did not expect it to fill in with my study which is about 15 ft x 15 ft. Obviously the best set up is within close range from the Transit. Bluetooth set up was a charm. It has a "tacky" little button at the back which expose a metallic support at the back.
When connected with iPhone, there is a handy battery icon on the top right corner of the iPhone which shows the Transit battery levels - mind you no specific app was required to be installed - nice.
Its form factor is a big plus. Being relatively slim, it is easier to slide in my computer bag. Wife even carried it in her purse a couple of times. Can slip easily in my jacket pocket which is very convenient.
Design is cool. Looks professional, rigid, with brushed metallic accents. Minimal buttons, nice smooth finish on the body.
Did not have hands free calling in mind in mind when I bought Transit but find it very handy now after using in a couple of long conference calls.
The packaging was very Apple like which conforms that a lot of thought and efforts have gone into the product to make it a premium product. Came with a handy magnetic cover which nicely tucks the Transit while in "transit".
Unfortunately I had left the cover which came with the product while staying in one of the hotels on my trip. Called up the Strata office and was pleasantly surprised with warm "old fashioned" customer service. The guy who picked up the phone was very excited and keen to know how I liked the product and even shipped a free replacement for me the same day !
It is not the cheapest but I guess like any premium product you get what you pay for. No regrets ! …

The best holiday gift!
I accidently broken my Jambox and was looking to try something different. I received my TRANSIT yesterday and boy, was it a treat I accidently broken my Jambox and was looking to try something different. I received my TRANSIT yesterday and boy, was it a treat! The speaker packs a serious punch for its size, which is great for my apartment as well as when I am traveling. A few things worth noting -
- The experience of opening the package is very similar to an Apple product. A mix of mystery and playfulness.
- I appreciated that TRANSIT didn't try to bombard me with tons of pages of manuals (as would be expected for a system with surprisingly few buttons and controls). A quick start guide with 3 or so instructions are all you need to get going.
- It took me a while to wrap my head around all the customization options in Jambox (good for some but not me) but TRANSIT just gets it. From turning on to listening music took me less than 15 seconds. Amazing!
- Plenty of battery life to last an entire evening
Now for the most important part: the sound! Loved the clarity and how it handled the deep bass. Really loved the later part, its so much better than my Jambox. Looking forward to enjoying this treat of a speaker this winter!

Impressive form-factor Apple like design, High Quality finish, Crystal crisp sound with excellent balanced bass performance and it is so user friendly that even my 6 yrs daughter can use it too.. Attention to detail is impressive right from external Packaging box to Product to its accessories - it feels as if it is an Apple designed Product!!
Although SOEN is a new brand, but its TRANSIT product is a very impressive product and superior compared to other bluetooth speakers offered by leading brands line Bose and Beats! In fact, SOEN TRANSIT is comparable to APPLE Products in design, performance, and overall user experience!!
After thoroughly evaluating and enjoying the 1st unit for about 3 weeks at home and during our travels, we finally knew what we truly needed as the best CHRISTMAS GIFT for our family and close friends and so we ordered 8 more!! The customer service at Soen Audio was so helpful and they promised that the new online order shipment will be delivered to us via FedEx (free shipping) within a few days! Can't ask for more. 100% Pleased With Our Transit

Once the decision to acquire an externa The enjoyment of worldwide radio access with my I-Pad was limited by the internal speaker. Once the decision to acquire an external portable Bluetooth speaker was made the search began. The reviews I read on the Transit were encouraging and were the basis for my decision to purchase. There is not much I can add to all the positive comments made by others. Every single thing about the Transit shouts quality. I listen to it in wonderment that such a gorgeous sound is emanating from such a small speaker. On a side note I had a question regarding charging capability from my notebook USB port. My e-mail to Soen was immediately answered yes. So Customer Service also gets 5 stars. …

Very Open and Detailed Sound, Very Portable, High Quality Speaker
I’ll write this review as I bought Soen Transit after looking at following 3 speakers. The purpose is to share my experience and h I’ll write this review as I bought Soen Transit after looking at following 3 speakers. The purpose is to share my experience and help you form an informed opinion before buy or try these speakers yourself:
1. Bose Soundlink Mini
2. Jawbone Jambox Mini
3. Soen Transit
As of writing this review this speaker is rated highly - 4 to 5 stars on Apple, Amazon and CNet. Before you go on and read this review I’ll mention for full-disclosure that I have known some of the team behind Soen Transit from their JBL days and before. That said, I’ll do a fair and true review based on my real experience.
Sound quality. Both Soen Transit and Bose Soundlink mini shine in terms of sound quality when compared to most speakers their size/price. Jambox Mini seems to be less refined and tinny/noisy in comparison. Jambox Mini also had a hum or a low continuous chrrr… sound that made me wonder about its quality.
Soen Transit really shines as a speaker with most open and detailed sound, which I haven’t heard yet from speakers this small. It does not distort on high volumes and elegantly equalizes sound unlike most Bluetooth speakers in the market. Bose Soundlink has better bass but the sound seems to be muddier at higher volumes. My preference in this case is Soen Transit as it sounds very open and detailed even when 2-3 persons are talking in a normal home/kitchen/lounge type environment. Bass heavy sound from small speakers drowns really easily unless you are listening in a really quite environment.
Bluetooth. Soen Transit has elegant muted guitar sounds to convey searching and connected sounds. Bose is also similar. But Jambox Mini has almost a loud toyish blips and tacky sounds when you connect or touch volute keys. You may find these Jambox Mini blips bad enough to remove it from your contention.
Hands Free/Conference. Both Soen Transit and Jambox Mini can function as a speakerphone, a feature that is surprisingly missing in Bose Soundlink Mini. I found the hands-free feature really convenient when talking to friends or colleagues in a conference setting.
Build Quality/Portability. Both Soen Transit and Bose Soundlink Mini are well built but I liked Soen Transit due to the book-like feel/formfactor, magnetic cover and kick-stand. If you travel or like to carry it with you to outdoors I’ll recommend Soen Transit. In my opinion it has better design and build quality than the Bose and feels more sophisticated.
Battery Life. I use Soen Transit for 1-2 hours every other day and charge it after every 4-5 uses. It charges quite fast with the standard slim charger. One cool feature in Soen Transit is the battery remaining indicator on iPhone/iPad without installing any software/app. I was not able to check battery life on the Bose or the Jambox. …

SoenAudio with Transit is going to give Bose a run for their money

From Opening the Box. akin to Opening an Apple product, with beautiful, thoughtful design and packing worth it's own review, the Transit speaker was more than I expected. Great Rich Sound from a Small package easily integrated with my 5S, IpadAir and Mac Book Pro. Slick, Sleek and every bit as good as the Bose, and for less money. I am going to purchase a host of these for gifts for friends, whom I know will absolutely love them as much as I have in the short time I have them. The stand works like a precision instrument. You can tell these guys put a great deal of thought, and effort to design this tremendous product. Run don't walk to order these from SoenAudio. …
