Many charging options, great with free iHome app.
As one of the other reviewers mentioned, my iHome iD99 stopped charging through the docks after a few weeks. I contacted iHome sup port and they replied very quickly stating that I should use compressed air to clean the docks (which didn't really help) and remove the battery. Once I removed the battery and put it back in, essentially performing a hard reboot, both docks started charging again immediately. It's only been a day since I performed the reboot so hopefully this was a one-time occurrence. As for the clock/radio functions it is a little difficult to navigate; however, the free "iHome Set" App makes it much, much easier. I would suggest downloading that app to your iPhone or iPad as soon as you get the clock rather than trying to navigate the buttons on the device. As for design, Dock 1 doesn't play nice with bigger/thicker iPhone cases so you can always use Dock 2 or the USB connector. …

Docks stopped charging, difficult to connect.
I got one of these from a big-box retailer and both of the top docks stopped charging my devices after only 2 weeks, only the USB port still charges. (iPad 2, iPhone 3GS) I am returning it. Additionally, it is awkward and difficult to connect the iPad onto its dock, it rests only on the connector and the rubber support and is not stable from side to side. …
