    This product is great. It works perfectly. I have my living room lamps plugged into it. They go on when I enter the room, and shut This product is great. It works perfectly. I have my living room lamps plugged into it. They go on when I enter the room, and shut off 5 minutes after I leave. The sensor works perfectly. Not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about. Also, you can set it to only turn them on during certain hours so the lights aren't coming on during the day.

    The Good:
    1. I haven't had a any problems with setup or operation on our home wifi.
    2. The WeMo app controls the switches both The Good:

    2. The WeMo app controls the switches both locally and via 4G.

    The Bad:
    1. WeMo app crashes pretty often on my iphone 5 - maybe 1 out of 5 times the app is opened.
    2. WeMo integration with IFTTT is pretty unreliable. I have a switch setup to turn on a lamp at dusk and then off at a set time. The on time can vary by 2 or 3 hours from day to day and same with the off time.
    3. Switch status has to be manually refreshed when viewing with the app to see the latest switch state.
    4. The motion sensor takes some moving around to get it to operate a switch like I wanted. For example, I put it in the TV room and set it up to turn off the lights when no one is in the room. Turns out you can't put it 10 ft away from the couch and have it detect any but large motions. Moving your head or an arm won't always be detected. It it is only a 3 or 4 feet away it will detect small motions that occur while being a zombie in front of the TV.

I bought the device to control a light on a second The Belkin WeMo switch simply DOES NOT WORK REMOTELY which defeats its purpose. I bought the device to control a light on a second home. The device works in the home while I am there in person. As I go away and try to control it remotely from another house simply does not work. I have done this twice to no avail. The reason I bought it was to control it remotely. What good does it do if it cannot be controlled remotely. If it works only when I am there (i.e. were the device is) I may as well get up from my computer and turn the light switch on and throw away the device. Absolutely worthless. Don't waist your money by buying a WeMo switch. Wish I could get my money back, actually is not the money is false advertising that bothering me.

    I believe it upgraded to a firmware that no longer works. I have three units that are now all useless. They will not connect to I believe it upgraded to a firmware that no longer works. I have three units that are now all useless. They will not connect to the Wi-Fi no matter what. I do not recommend this product at this time.

    I had two wemo insight swith devices on my network before and everything was working well. Yesterday, i added to more wemo insight I had two wemo insight swith devices on my network before and everything was working well. Yesterday, i added to more wemo insight switch and now, wemo app become unstable and crash when i try to open the app. For 4 devices, it's to much for the app, to work on ios 8.1 on iphone 4s. I finaly removed a device and now wemo app is more stable. Is it a problem with ios or wemo app? I don't know, but don't buy it now if you need more than 3 devices.
