I was always jealous that the laptops had this option but it was not really available for the desktop. I have seen some others but the reviews were never good enough to buy one. Then came the Luna. Every review I saw was 5 stars. The design is elegant and the look in want to have for my desk. Now for the real reason I bought this board the backlit keys. All I can say is awsome. It is exactly the look and feel I was looking for. A perfect replacement for my aluminum board. . …

Stylish - Perfect for OSX and Bootcamp Users

I use it at home with my MacBook hooked up to a second monitor. I play a lot of games on my MacBook so Windows is essential, and the luna makes it really easy.
The luna has a nice little function button that lets me use the F1-F12 keys like they're intended when I have bootcamp running Windows. When it's running OSX, I can just hit the function key again and bring up my dashboard and all the other functions as normal.
What I love about the luna is that it's both beautiful and functional. The keys are really responsive and the texture is great. They have the perfect amount of resistance so I can rest my fingers on them without fear of accidentally pressing them. The layout has perfect spacing and it's at an angle that's comfortable for my wrists.
Really, it's just a great keyboard all around. It has different light settings for my eyes, whether there's light in the room or not. The clear border has a really nice glowing effect in the dark and the black keyboard contrasts well with it, which is really important when I'm gaming. Fingerprints may appear on the clear part, but they're really easy to wipe away. …

It also works great through my thunderbolt display I know another reviewer said they had problems with this but I can confirm that it works great with the thunderbolt display and the new macbook pro with retina display. All the keys work in windows and osx for those of you that bootcamp like me. Illumination/Backlights work great. All around feel is solid and excellent for long typing periods. Definitely recommend the keyboard. …

Even the space bar is slightly moved to the left. This takes some time to re-learn the location which I wasn't expecting. There is also an additional FN key on the right side which is not on a standard keyboard. I seem to keep hitting that when trying to find the CONTROL key. Otherwise the design is cool and the quality seems to be quite good. Also, there is no USB hub like on the standard Mac keyboard. …

The keys aren't really backlit.
Maybe I'm just not easily impressed - but this keyboard seems like a completely average piece of equipment to me. I give it a do Maybe I'm just not easily impressed - but this keyboard seems like a completely average piece of equipment to me. I give it a downgrade for deceptive advertising though. I bought it thinking the actual characters on the keys were backlit - little glowing letters and symbols. They do not. What is "backlit" is just the base of the keyboard - which actually makes the characters on the keys harder to see if you should ever like to glance down at them. Otherwise, what it is is a bunch of poorly marked black keys suspended in a silly light-up base. And even the light-up base is pretty underwhelming.
It functions otherwise as any plain old keyboard. *yawn* I returned mine. If the characters had REALLY been backlit - THAT would have been cool and improved functionality. As it is, it's an overpriced bauble for those who just are awestruck by most anything. …

They work on my MBP just by pressing the F key, but on the Luna keyboard I have to hold down the Fn key to get the F keys to work. I don't mind having to hold down the Fn key, but the annoying thing is that it's located between the Option and Control keys on the right side, rather than being to the right of the Control key, or in the bottom left corner of the keyboard as on Apple keyboards. …
