caused overheating
Had to return. Didn't allow my MacBook AIr 11" to breathe, and the machine kept shutting down.

Good
This case is pretty good. It protects the air quite well and is sturdy. However, it has a major flaw. It's a bit too heavy for the screen of the air and makes the screen fall back at the last few degrees when the screen is fully open. Other than that it's a great case. …

Nice, but not cheap
A nice covering for the 11.6" Air to protect it from scratches and scuffs (won't do much against a serious drop). Also adds some f riction to the machine to alleviate fears of it flying out of your hand. Fits the machine perfectly. Would have liked a couple of more attach points on the bottom case, but seems ok so far. Attracts some fingerprints if you care about that sort of thing. Pretty expensive for a couple piece of bespoke plastic. …

Cracks Appear On Their Own
My case is cracking without any rough handling. My Macbook Air mostly sits on my desk or takes an occasional trip in a well padded bag. I think the plastic is too brittle and is stressed just being on the Mac. Not so good for $50 bucks. …

Garbage
After only about 8 months of use this case is pretty much destroyed. All I do is carry it in my hand to and from the office. It's no abused. But every single clip has cracked off from the bottom shell and the top part of the shell, while it still has all it's clips, has big ugly long crack in it. The case is a piece of garbage and not worth anywhere near the outrageous asking price. …

No more Speck!
I've noticed a trend with Speck cases over the past couple years, they are not made to last more than six months of average use. I don't travel with my Mac, but like to have a protective case on there just in case of an accident. My mac sits in one place all day and only gets opened at night to do my college writing.
After six months of having a Speck case, the snaps that keep the top part of the case on were gone. There was no warning or signs of wear, one day more than one just popped off. How does Speck justify $50 for a cheap piece plastic that cannot withstand minimal use?! …- Written by Mike S from Largo
