Does the SCR3500 Smart Card Reader only allow you to sign in with your CAC to sites like AKO and DTS or does it also allow you to digitally sign forms
- Asked by Michele A from Petersburg

Best Answer
This is just the hardware device (smart card reader) like you would purchase other readers to access your CAC on any platform. This device allows the physical card to be accessed by software running on the computer via the USB port. This reader is CCID compliant and can be used on any platform.

You have several options available to you both from Open Source and Commercial resources. …- Answered by Shawn G from Fairfax

Can the SCR3310 read XD photo cards and show them on the I-Mac?
- Asked by Magdalena S from Mira Loma
- Mar 25, 2012
Answer
No. This device is for a "Smart Card" similar in form factor to your Bank Card or Credit Card, but with a hardware "chip" exposed on one side. Smart Cards are used for various User Authentication scenarios like login on a computer, digitally signing/decrypting email messages and accessing PK-enabled websites.
You are looking for a "Media Reader" for accessing your photos on an XD photo card. …- Answered by Shawn G from Fairfax
