Viewing & Changing Orders
Want to view or edit an order? You can check order status, track a shipment, view pickup details, edit your shipping or email address, print an invoice, and more with online Order Status.
Online Order Status
To view or edit your Apple Online Store order, visit online Order Status and log in with your Apple ID and password.
Online Order Status features include:
- Check order status
- Track a shipment
- Return eligible items
- Pre-sign for a delivery
- Edit shipping or billing information
- View pickup information
- View or edit gift messaging or engraving
- Print an invoice
Don't have an Apple ID? Visit the Your Account help page for more details on how to create an Apple ID. You can view and edit your orders without an Apple ID by logging in with your order number, along with the shipping zip code or email address.
Check Order Status
It's easy to check the status of your order! First, visit online Order Status and enter your Apple ID and password.
Once you log in, click the View Orders button. This opens the Your Orders page with a complete summary of your most recent order. If you want to view a different order, select the order from the "View more orders" drop-down menu at the top right of the page.
On the Your Orders page, an order status message displays above each of your items. Order status messages include:
- We've Received your Order - We will begin processing your order soon. You may be able to edit your order details once the order enters the the Processing Items status.
- Processing Items - We're processing your order right now. You may be able to edit your order details through online Order Status, or by contacting Apple Online Store Customer Service.
- Preparing for Shipment - We're currently preparing your order and, as a result, are unable to modify it at this point. If items are being shipped directly to you, we'll send you a Shipment Notification email. If items are being shipped to an Apple Store, we'll send you a Pickup Notification email when they're ready to pickup.
- Shipped - Your item has shipped. Your carrier tracking number will be updated in online Order Status and the carrier's website within 24 hours.
- Shipping to Store - Your item(s) have shipped and are on their way to the Apple Store. We'll send a Pickup Notification email to you when they're ready to be picked up. Please wait for the Pickup Notification email before coming into the Apple Store.
- Ready for Pickup - Your item is ready at the Apple Store. Remember to bring the card you used for payment, or the order number and a valid photo ID, to pick up your items at the Apple Store.
- Picked up - Your item has been picked up from the Apple Store.
Track or Pick Up Items
Track Shipped Items
For items shipped to a physical address, you'll receive a Shipment Notification email with your carrier, estimated delivery date and, if available, a tracking number.
You can also view shipping and delivery information in online Order Status. Once you log in with your Apple ID and password, click the Edit Orders button. On the Your Orders page, click the Track Shipment button and the Shipment Status window will display the item's estimated delivery date, tracking number and shipping address. If you ordered multiple items, you may have separate tracking information for each item.
To ensure safe delivery, most shipments require a signature on delivery. Refer to the Shipping & Pickup Help page for your options if you are unavailable to provide a signature.
Once your item is available at the Apple Store, we'll send a Pickup Notification email with the Apple Store location.
You can also view the Apple Store location and, if designated, your Pickup Contact in online Order Status. On the Your Orders page, your pickup details will display in the left column.
In addition to email notifications, you can request text messages updates in Checkout.
What to Expect
Once your order ships, or is available for pickup, we'll send you a text message. The text message will include your order number and a link to the tracking or pickup store information. We can send you texts the day of delivery or after your item has been "delivered", depending upon your shipping method, country, and carrier. Depending upon your order, you may receive between 1-4 text messages per shipment on your order. Texts are sent between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in your time zone.
How to change my text message preferences
You can edit your mobile phone number at any time by logging into your account and editing the Shipment Notification preferences for your order.

Edit Your Order
Log in to online Order Status to view the items on your most recent order. If an item is We've Received Your Order or Processing Items status, you may be able to edit the item. Visit the Check Order Status section of online Help above for more information on order status messages.
Edit Gift Message
To edit or delete an Apple Gift Package message, click the Edit or Delete link in the Apple Gift Package details.
To edit an engraving, find the engraved item on the Your Orders page and click the Edit link in the engraving details.
Edit Shipping Address
If your item is Processing Items status, you may be able to edit your shipping address on the Your Orders page. Visit the Check Order Status section above for more information on order status messages.
To edit your default shipping address, visit online Order Status and enter your Apple ID and password. Once you log in, click the Edit Account button. This opens the Account page. Go to Account Settings and click the Change default shipping or billing info link. Updates to the default billing or shipping address will only take effect for future orders.
Edit Email Address
If you didn't receive an Order Acknowledgment, Pickup or Shipment Notification email, we may have an incorrect email address, or the emails are stuck in your spam or junk mail folder. You can update your email address in the Your Orders page.
To edit the email address for your order, log in to online Order Status and click the View Orders button. On the Your Orders page, click the Edit link next to the email address you want to edit. Your updated email address will be displayed on the Your Orders page.
Your updated email address takes effect only for the order you've edited. Future email notifications for this order will be sent to the updated email address.
To edit your default email address on your account, log in to online Order Status and click the Edit Account button. This opens the Account page. Go to Account Settings and click the [edit email] link. Edits to the default email address will only take effect for future orders.

If your item(s) are not in Prepared for Shipment or Shipped status, you may be able to cancel an item or the entire order online.
To cancel an order or item, visit online Order Status, and click the View Orders button. From the Your Orders page, find the item you want to cancel and click the Cancel items link.
Once you've submitted your cancel request, the status message of the item(s) will read Canceled or Pickup Canceled. If you canceled an item shipping to a physical address, you will not be billed for your item. If you canceled a pickup item, you may have been billed. We will initiate your refund immediately after you submit your cancel request.
If you are unable to cancel item(s) online, you may be able to return your item. To see if your item is eligible for a return, refer to the
View or Print Invoice
Once an item is billed, Apple creates an invoice. You can view or print individual invoices for each item on your order.
To view or print your invoice, log in to online Order Status and click the View Orders button. Click the Print Invoices link on the Your Orders page to get a printable image of your invoice(s).
