    The SkyDock is "super cool!" as my wife likes to say. It's the best satellite radio experience yet. They made it incredibly easy to setup. Plug the SkyDock into the cigarette adapter. Plug your iPhone into the SkyDock. Tune your FM radio to 88.1. At this point you can already play your iPod library or any streaming radio app through the FM transmitter. It's that easy! To get XM satellite radio, just a few more steps. Plug in the antenna. Download the free SkyDock app from the AppStore. Call or go online to setup your account. That's it! The SkyDock app is very polished and is really easy to navigate while driving. If your looking to add satellite radio to your car and you already have an iPhone/iPod Touch, the SkyDock is absolutely the best way to go!! …More

    A great product. The sound quality using the recently FCC approved XM PowerConnect technology is amazing. Coupled with the free XM Sirius application on your iTouch, it's very user friendly, with far more features than any other XM/Sirius radio on the market.     If you do not already have an iPhone integrated into your car, this is perfect. The iPhone app lets have the most updated interface and options, it plays everything, and the built in XM Satellite tuner is a plus.

    I have a Volvo S80 and it was going to cost me $500-600 to get XM radio activated in my car, even though it was supposedly satellite ready. I ordered SkyDock on the Black Friday sale for @$90, and it really works great. My car has an auxiliary input for the for the Radio, and the sound quality is awesome. You can place your favorites on your iPhone app, scroll between stations and see what is playing and select - really pretty cool. I like a variety of music and it is always difficult to find good classical and jazz stations in the boonies-not anymore! Overall I am extremely well pleased. …More

    Good attempt, so-so implementation.

    My biggest issue is that when my truck hits potholes, the unit seems to lose contact. It tells you that the hardware is not compatible with the iphone. I have to reseat the device, or close the app and open it again.(Keeps your eyes off the road trying to resolve.)

    I had a Sirius S50, that never lost power while plugged into the same cigarette lighter socket, so it isn't power-related.

    Other than that, it would have been nice to have a single app for online listening, but that is fairly minor. Otherwise, it works great. The other major issue was that I had to cancel my sirius and subscribe to XM. How is that company still so segmented? I should have been able to add a 2nd device to my Sirius account. But the device is XM specific.

    Great Product

    I just happened to stumble across this product when I went to visit the XM website. My wife had just purchased a new car, which came with XM radio and I fell in love with it. I was shopping around for a satellite radio when I came upon the ad for the Sky Dock. The next day I was at the Apple Store in downtown Portland. The staff there was not familiar with the product, but I showed them on the website and they were surprised to find one in stock in the store. It installs like a breeze. My factory installed radio does not have an auxiliary in so I used the FM transmitter, which surprisingly had great sound. Although, there were a couple of times that I would lose signal for brief periods of time. I had a set up where my iPod was going through the CD changer input in the back of my stereo, so I had that converter replaced with an auxiliary input converter so I now have direct audio from the Skydock to my stereo. This product is outstanding. The only thing that I have found that I don't really like is that the Skydock is not all that steady when going down the road. Once you get used to the unit bouncing around, it's not all that bad. I'm glad I made the purchase. …More
