    Wonderful scale

    I generally don't bother to write reviews of products but when i saw this on the Apple store I decided to spend the time because Withings deserves it. I've had this scale for a year and a half and love it. It even feels like an Apple product. Thanks to this scale, I have a history of my weight going back 450+ days now, which I could never have maintained when I was tracking my weight manually (in a spreadsheet and later on an iPhone app). Their iPhone and iPad apps are really good too and always improving.

    I was worried that it would be unreliable and not always send my readings to the web site or fail to connect to our WiFi network and require a reboot or something, but it has not failed once and I weigh myself every single day. My wife and I both use it and it automatically detects us as different people (not entirely sure how it does this) and updates her online readings too. By the time I weigh myself and pick up my iPhone or iPad a couple minutes later, my readings are already there, so it's quick and reliable.

    Last year, almost a year after I first got it, I did have a problem where it just stopped measuring fat percentage. I contacted customer support and they had me ship it back and they shipped me a replacement, no questions asked. It's worked great since then.

    I'm glad we bought this scale and I'm happy with the company and how well it supports its customers. I'm getting their blood pressure monitor as soon as it's available in the US.     …More

    Very easy to set up. The scale sends my updated weight to my account; it also recognizes who is being weighed (just the two of us). The weight shows up on a graph in my Withings app (iPhone). It is a great tool to track my progress! …More

    Got it today... this product rocks!

    This scale is super awesome. Worked great out of the box. Easy to setup online and on my iPhone and iPad. Loved how the WiFi was easily configured. I step on my scale, and the result goes to my devices automatically. The product is outrageously perfect!

    However, I wish that the Apple Store had the option to order the white scale, because I like the sleek look of white which would complement my other Apple Products. Not so much of a big deal.

    One negative is that the packaging was poor, the box was open and the product box inside was torn by someone who tried to figure out what it was.     …More

    JUST PURCHASED BOTH THE BP AND SCALE FROM WITHINGS. THE BP WORKS ON ALL DEVICES. BUT THE SCALE IS NOT SETING UP BECAUSE I RUN 10.7 IOS VERSION ON MAC MINI, NEW IPAD, AND IPHONE 4S. HAS AN UPDATE BEEN RELEASED, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CONTACT WITHINGS? …More

    nice scale if you are single

    The scale is quite nice in that it displays weight, and fat % and graphs it out for you on a nice mobile app and their website. The problem comes when you have multiple people who use it. It seems the only way the scale can tell who is who is by weight. One of our family members weighs in very close to that of another family member and usually the scale will show one person's name on the left and another person's name on the right and you just shift your weight on the scale in order to choose your profile name. That is not always the case however because just today the scale would not even give the person a choice as to what profile they were...it just assumed it was the other person. I updated the persons weight online on the scales website that tracks profiles and we tried again. It still did not pick the right persons profile and did not even let them choose.

    Bottom line: This scale is great if you are from a single household or a household where there are few people and they all have different weights. It may work by giving you the onscreen choice to pick between two similar profiles but as mentioned above sometimes that does not seem to function correctly and it ends up being more trouble then it is worth.     …More

    I am very technically proficient and could not get this scale to work. Never did show me a weight, just a big checkmark. Documentation did not tell me what this meant, and the Withings help center is useless. Yes, I successfully paired the scale to my account and it shows up in my web account. It just simply does not provide a weight, whether I tap it first, or just get on. I even changed out the batteries with no luck. Junk, junk, junk! …More
