MoGo Talk Bluetooth Headset for iPhone 3GS
Great idea, needs some improvements
Written by AM from Lowville

I love the idea of a bluetooth headset that snaps right into the iPhone's case. One less thing to cary around in my pocket the better. However, there are a few minor issues which leave me wondering if I am going to keep this headset or send it back.
First the good. Aside from the obvious ability to fit right into its iPhone protective case, the call quality is good. I generally don't have much problem hearing people and I have not had anyone report any problems hearing me. Volume is good, and calls sound as natural as can be expected with about any bluetooth.
The problems I am having with the headset are several. Most annoying is that none of the ear gels seem to fit my ear. The thing is constantly falling out and I am continually playing with it to be sure it does not end up on the floor in the middle of a call. I have been playing with the thing and I just can't seem to get it to a place where it feels comfortable and secure.
The other issue, which is more of an annoyance, is that it apparently does not have a standby mode. When the headset is in the case, it remains on and calls are automatically routed there. That means I either need to switch them to the iPhone, or pop the headset out and answer the call that way. The first isn't too bad, but the second option has resulted in missing calls as the thing isn't too easy to pop out of the case.
Finally, when you plug in the case to charge the headset, it shuts the bluetooth off completely. That means when I want to make or answer a call, I need to pop it out of the case, fit it in my ear, and hold down the on button for 4-5 seconds and wait for the device to power on. A total of 10-15 seconds. I know, not too long, but still annoying. It would be better if the headset went into standby mode when docked in the case instead of remaining on if it is not being charged, or shutting down completely when being charged. …More275 of 293 people found this useful

MoGo Talk Bluetooth Headset for iPhone 3GS
Great fit with one failure
Written by RD from Ellicott City

The whole thing is great, it charges via USB and is compact but does not work with voice activation. I have the 3GS.
Background:
I am familiar with various Bluetooth models - Motorola, Jawbone(voice activation) Jabra. And others.
Something is missing with this one.
Also the box says that a screen protector film is inside and one is not. Online this statement is not made.
Be careful and prepared for the possible trip back. …More131 of 155 people found this useful

Brilliant - Bluetooth Headset and iPhone in One - Love It!
Written by DG from Brookline
Nov 2, 2009
Finally someone figured out how to build a bluetooth headset the right way. The headset snaps into a protective case that in turn snaps on the back of the iPhone. Brilliant!
The headset works as well as any other headset I've used before, except that it's almost always charged because it charges in the case. …More91 of 106 people found this useful

MoGo Talk Bluetooth Headset for iPhone 3GS
Great Product, Great Service
Written by JG from Acton

I purchased a MoGo Talk. I loved the headset- it was comfortable and sounded great. However, the charging case stopped working after a while (I think that I was too rough with the charging connector like the manual warned about). I emailed Newton Peripherals and they sent me a brand new case- no questions asked. The new one seems to be even better then my first one so I think they changed something. They even included an extra screen protector, a mini charger for the headset and a self addressed stamped envelope to return the broken case. It took a couple of days to get the new case but I didn’t have to wait in line at the Apple store. …More

MoGo Talk Bluetooth Headset for iPhone 3GS
sleek and stylish

The sound quality that I experienced was absolutely amazing. The stylish ear piece is comfortable and conforms to my ear perfectly. I have wasted a lot of money on other ear pieces that promised everything that I've found in the MoGo. Christmas shopping will be easy this year since most of my family are Iphone users. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. …More

Just got it and it is great. One thing I would suggest is making a white colored one to match with the white iPhones :0)

How exactly does the headset charge? Does it charge from the iPhone itself while in your pocket, or does it "share" the iPhone's charging cord?

The MoGoTalk charges at the same time as the iPhone through it's own charging cable. The MoGoTalk case has a standard Micro USB connector and is supplied with a charging cable.
iPhone and MoGoTalk have about the same talk time so by charging them together you will always have a fully charged headset.
All that is needed is two available USB ports. Most computers have two. ATT supplies a car charger with an Apple connector as well as a USB port for charging the MoGoTalk.
Two USB port spliter cables are also available in many computer stores. They can be added to the Apple wall charger for a compact solution. …More- Answered by TJ from Sharon
