This Yeti works wonderful BUT it will burn out in a couple months!! It no longer works and I am very upset!! The microphone company doesn't have a warranty on the product either!!

    Blue Yeti Pro USB

    • Written by from Valley Village

Upgraded to Lion OS X and Blue Yeti Pro. Does not work. When plugged in USB, the cable is loose light blinks. Seems high quality product, but manufacturer skimps on updates and fixes. Spent approx $300, and very upset with Apple and Blue for not resolving before launch.

A quick search reveals that many others are having this issue. Try to avoid investing in USB microphone until Apple or Blue resolve this issue.

Just got it yesterday. Plugged into USB on iMac. Turned on computer and it will not show in Sound of System Preferences as it says it will. Tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and still nothing. Does not work with Lion OS it seems.

    Blue Yeti connection problem

    • Written by from Ingersoll

I got the blue yeti mic as a gift for christmas, a couple weeks after having it the power supply starts cutting in and out over and over again, the mic wont work for anything i need it to. very un happy with the gift. It is not the cord either it is the mic itself i use the same cord for my camera to up load pictures. I called apple to return it but they said it was too late. for the week it did work the sound quality was very good.
