With these you hear your music in a whole new way!

    • Written by from Manhattan Beach

So I decided to spend the money even though im a college student on nice pair of headphones and OMG its was well spent. After listening to a sample file from B&W and some of my own music I can tell you this, you began to pick up on sounds in which you've never heard through headphones when listening to music. Very well balanced and nice overall music sound quality some of the best I've ever heard from headphones. having experienced B&W I can tell you this its going to make you want to reimport all your music in a lossless format. In which I well be doing in fact. Overall design is beautiful and very well built. if your debating on weather to get these stop it and just get these trust me!

If you're going to splurge, you won't be disappointed.

    • Written by from Nepean

It's a lot of money for a set of headphones, but if you have the means to do so, you will not be sorry. They are quite simply a joy to own. Far and away the best blend of comfort, build quality and acoustic richness I have experienced to date. I've been burned spending big money on accessories before only to have regret. But this purchase is not one of them!

    Concert for one is right

    • Written by from Nepean

I got these headphones in the mail just today and although they are set up at my store and I tried them vigorously, when I received my own pair and listened to them with my electro, alternative collection I was more impressed then I already was at work. Every sound is complete and sounds like its own entity. I have tested multiple bose headphones and I don't think they compare at all. I read the review which stated that you can get cheaper headphones that sound just as good for less; although that may be true the kind of comfort and built quality that these headphones offer at the price point that these are sold is equal to none. These headphones are well built, sound great, from my personal hearing experience I am most satisfied with these. Dont regret a single penny I spent on these even if it is just an indulgence for overall greatness because how much is good sound worth if in a year I need to get a new pair looking and listening to these I honestly feel as though these headphones could be around for a long time making them a sound investment

    Great song But very uncomfortable

    • Written by from Doral

I purchased these headphones yesterday at an Austin Apple store. As the title says they sound very good and truly isolate all outside sound. Unfortunately after having them on for around 10 minutes my ears could not tolerate the pressure.

I returned them and purchased the B&O headphones. They cost another $100, but sound as good and are very comfortable.

Incredible sound, clarity, bass, comfort, timbre of voice and instruments. Comfortable, engaging, and seem to be really well constructed with quality materials. Great with acoustic and slower songs, but DO NOT ROCK! Oh well. Mellow out with these.

    a head rumbling masterpiece

    • Written by from Baton Rouge

These headphones are a truly the best I've ever listen to and the build quality is simply amazing for a $300 product. B&W has truly made a great product that is magnificent for the price and if I may please ask those who are in the market for new headphones please do check out bose and BEATS because you will find that B&W has not only the best build quality but also an amazing pure sound. Dr. Dre's Beats will run you the same price as P5's but they are simply inferior they sound like total rubbish and will fall apart after a week of wear and tear. The only criticism I personally have for this product is that P5's could have a much more robust and overtone bass and that would be the only thing that these headphones would need to be perfect.

    no regret

    • Written by from Brooklyn

6 months after buying these headphones, I still use them every day and love them. They're very comfortable and the sound is great. Also, being able to control volume and track through the mic and not having to deal with the batteries that come with noise canceling headphones make these headphones worth the money.

    UH-MAZE-ZING~~~~

wow, i have been intrigued by B&W ever since i purchased a zeppelin for my ipod (a year ago)... subsequently, i can't help but to get the panorama for my TV but, i have never thought i will have something to take with me on my hours of travels in planes and airports (also by B&W) accompanied by my ipod touch + ipod nano i must admit... a bit of a crazy shopper, but a serious apple addict at heart...
if i were to sum it up, i would say it has the signature B&W stamp on its sound and regardless if u are an audiophile or just enthusiastic with beautiful un-distracting clear clean sound, this is definitely one of the better choices for headphones... as a shopaholic (not unlike myself) would tell you, i have also tried the noise cancelling BOSE and DR. DRE (yo - mann -), and as much as i love the idea of noise cancelling and deep heavy bass beats it recreates, i immediately second guess my needs for such features (god is the dj, i'm just a listener)... on top of that, having to switch it on and the extra chore of rechargeable batteries (i like to think i love the environment), and then put it back into the headphones + the slight heat and very quite but OHM like buzz sound, are just not part of my repertoire as i have too much charging already going on with my laptop(S), phones, ipad, ipod(S), iphones... gosh... it's time for a solar charge my friendS! B&W however, you have done it again :-D

    Simple Enjoyable (MUSIC AUDIOPHILE)

    • Written by from somers

To Start : I have Had many varieties of headphones in the past 6 months looking for something that was well balanced all around. IN many efforts and failed attempts after going through 5 different types of headphones an many different brands I have found a set that are balanced all around.

Breakdown: The P5 Mobile may not be for working out and running but come on don't buy headphones like these with hopes that they will be they are very durable and extremely Comfortable all around. They are slightly pricey but for the price that i payed i am satisfied. I have had ALL THREE DRE headphones the Tours, Solo's , Studios and for the price as same as the studios these have a much better sound profile unlike the studios that DRE are way to bass heavy an not true reproduction of sound. These have a wide range of mid's an highs that have made it enjoyable to listen to the diverse genres of music that i listen to daily. Ranging from HIP hop to YO-YO-MA simply incredible.

    Awesome, worth every penny!

    • Written by from SAN DIEGO

Went in to the local Apple Store twice to try these out, just to make sure I really wanted to invest in these, after the second try, i walked out the door with them. They make lossy music on an iPod or Mac sound incredible
These are by far the best sounding headphones I've encountered. Clean, rich, full sound, nothing overpower the other. No thumpa thumpa bass overpowering the other sounds. Some headphone are too bass heavy, and some like the Bose have a very fake sound, these sound clean. pure and realistic. They are incredibly comfortable, can wear these for hours and not notice they are on. Good at isolating outside sounds. They are compact, yet seem sturdy. What are you waiting for? Go out try them out, you will end up buying them.

    Worth every penny

    • Written by from Bexley

I've had mine for more than a year, and it still works as if it was new.

Excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, sleek and beautiful design, and above all, highly-reliable.

Sidenote: If the B&W C5 ear-buds ever crossed your mind, I highly suggest you don't buy them--they break too easily. I shouldn't be writing this in here, but I can't emphasize enough how unreliable they are. I've had both products, and the P5's have been, undeniably, more reliable.

Concerning Quality Issues Despite Great Sound

    • Written by from Beavercreek

As has been echoed many times in the review section, I was thrilled with the quality of sound with these ear phones but was very disappointed when one side stopped working after only months of use and good care of the product. After this happened, I took them to the Apple store and was able to acquire a replacement. However, in only a couple of months, the same problem occurred with the replacement pair. I like the feel and sound of the headphones, but would not recommend purchasing them unless Bowers & Wilkins is able to release a statement on how this problem can be fixed or avoided- as it seems to have occurred for many customers.

    Amazing Sound!

    • Written by from St. Louis

Debated between these and the Bose QC15 noise canceling headphones. Picked these due to the fact that the QC15s need a battery to work. So happy I picked these! The sound quality is great. The biggest surprise to me is how well the noise isolation works. When you put these headphones on, they only slightly muffle background noise. However, when you click the play button, almost all background noise is eliminated! Only downside to these is the connector is not "L" shaped, so it sticks out of the headphone jack further. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of.

Headphones are amazing...my only gripe, the case.

    • Written by from BOTHELL

As you've read already, these headphones are amazing. The case, for me is a bit lackluster. It's got this diamond quilted pattern and a silver nameplate on the front. It looks more like a Kate Spade bag than anything else. You also have to adjust the headphones back down to their original size in order to fit it back in. I'm using a Waterfield Large iPod Gear Pouch instead. I don't have to adjust the headphones back down and it holds all of my accessories in the side pockets. Perfect.

    B&W P5

    • Written by from Marudi

I don't own very expensive Hi-Fi systems or headphones but i think my ears have heard enough of them to give the B&W P5s a fair review.

Sound, the most honest thing i can say is, they would sound brilliant for some but leaves others wanting more. They are not up their with the high-end nor are they down there with the group that uses brand to market themselves(you know who they are). The highs, mids and lows come in together nicely, but it depends on the content your listening to, if you like instrumentals and vocals, these would be good enough to satisfy my taste(my taste is not easy to satisfy) and more if you're the average listener, and they give enough detail too. But lets say you are from the younger generation, with all the new sounds from more recent artists, you may find yourself wanting more, as these content requires a bit more in the lower end and the P5s don't deliver enough. Not that they don't have it, it's just not enough, and for the price we're paying,I would prefer the P5s to be a bit more of an all rounder, just because people listen to a lot of music and the genres are too diverse. Hit 2 birds with 1 stone. It's hard to be done, but they are B&W, they're one of the best. P5s will never be spacious sounding enough, because they are not real speakers and they are not open-backed, so the sound will just go straight to your brains. But in the case of the P5s, it's not too bad. Sound isolation is good enough, i still can hear outside noise but not enough to bother me, they won't leak unless you turn on your music too laud.

Design and quality. They look great and feel great, PERIOD. AWESOMENESS

Comfort. If you have regular sized head and ears, they will sit on your head nicely.

Final thoughts. They sound and look great.

Advise? Try to audition one, and make your decision from there. Do not buy something if you can't have a listen 1st. Do not depend on other people's advise, let your ears and heart do it for you. One thing is true with sound and to a lot of other things, "to each, their own".

Hope you'll find my advice helpful.

And of course the sound will sound better if you used it with a dedicated sound system and a lossless source. This is a no brainer.

I heard Stevie Ray Vaughan's version of little wing with these. I can now say I was standing right there in the studio... You may want to re-rip your stuff in full quality this time around. Good buy for the quality you get if you can appreciate the sound.
