    Amazing

These headphones have unbelievable clarity as well as bass. They are so comfortable you can wear them for hours. I have heard a lot of reviews saying that they are flimsy and breakable, but they are fairly sturdy. I have even dropped mine on occasion and they are just fine. no scratches whatsoever. Worth the money.

    Amazing

First of all I want to give props to Dr. Dre. These headphones are amazing. The bass I cannot even put into words to explain how amazing they are. They are extremely comfortable on the ears and head. The noise cancelation is great, the only way I can hear people a little bit is when there is no music playing. To all those people who say the sound leaks, they either have fake "Beats", or don't have them on their ears, when they are supposed to leak so you can hear them without having them right on there ears. But overall these headphones are exactly what I have been looking for. The price is very steep though.

    Beats by Dr Dre Studios

    • Written by from Inverness

They are great for comfort, sound quality and style. I used to have the Solo HDs which were rubbish and weren't comfy at all. The studios are far better. To be honest, there's nothing wrong with them in my eyes - they're great for long journeys as they don't hurt your ears, amazing quality which feels like you're in the studio with the artist (why they're called Studios). I would definetely recommend to people, the only problem is the price you pay for them - luckily mine were on sale.

    The coolest pair of headphones

    • Written by from Dayton

This thing will have you going deaf in no time at maximum volume. The built-in amplifier is a nice touch. All music is clear even up to the notch before maximum volume. I would recommend these completely. The over the ear design is the best. Noise cancellation is better on some Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones than these, but it still helps and it is still noticeable.

    sound leaks really bad.

i just got these headphones to listen with my ipod for daily use. they would be great if you dont go anywhere with them and just stay to yourself, but if your going to go around in public listening to music so is everyone else. they are horrible at keeping the music to themselves. i would suggest not buying them if you are going to commute publicly. because everybody will hear what your listening to.

    decent

I have had these and the bose sound comfort 15's and i much prefer the bose's. the beats crackle every now and again along with the screws fall out of the headphones and seem to be very flimsy. this is very dissapointing as they cost so much. good thing they came with a 2 year warranty and i can get a brand new pair.

bose head phones are 100% better. sounds quality is better and they dont fall apart.

    Beats Solo

Alright so these headphones are actually pretty good. They have a nice design and their sound quality is great. The only problem i have with my pair is the fact that, it became squeaky after a while. I am currently unsure what's causing this problem!
    Worth the money you pay?
    Not really.

    Two words, Oh Baby..

My Gosh, I got these for Christmas of 2011, and I started using them right away, they feel like you are in a room with surround sound speakers, and the quality is more crisp than I ever expected it to be. I would suggest anyone to get these Headsets; I prefer them over any other headsets I've used sofar.

    Good but bad..

    • Written by from sarreguemines

The headphones are really good, have really good sound, but after a little bit less than 1 year of using it, le headband broke, and I lost some screws. (Since I live in France and bought it in NYC I have to contact support, but there is no support for this product on apple, and I contacted Monster Cable, they didn't answer me). So, I don't recommend this, although it has a really good sound quality, the materials are cheap, and I am angry now.

    Annoying sound leakage

    • Written by from Doral

They sound really good and look amazing... However, the build quality is subpar for $300 and the worst issue is the sound leakage. When in quiet spaces, it is as if you had speakers on for the entire room.

May not be the best but worth it!

Alot of people say that the build quality on the Beats are terrible and they really aren't. I own a pair of Red Solo HD and I have had any problems with the build quality. I know over five people with the Studios and they haven't had any problems either. If you take care of the Beats and don't treat them like a pair of free headphones, you'll be fine. My friends keep their headphones in the case and treat them like a baby. No problems. The Solos do leak sound but when sitting next to people with the Studios on and haven't heard any sound leakage. Many people say that Solo HD are much cheaper and your not losing many features compared to the Studios and I just have to disagree. I have listened to the same songs in the Solos and Studios and the Studios blow the Solos out of the water.

Sound Below Average for the Price

    • Written by from Bellevue

I'll be honest, I've been wanting one of these headphones for a while since everyone seems to think they sound awesome. I went ahead to try a pair, and I was honestly disappointed.

Yes, they sound better than the stock iBud earphones. Yes there is a lot of bass. Yes they do look good. Are they worth a $300 price tag? Absolutely not.

You're essentially paying for the name "Dr. Dre." The headphones themselves are made of a glossy, cheap, squeaky plastic material. The earpads are a comfortable pleather material. They do fold-up, which is convenient for travel. You need batteries to use these headphones regardless of whether or not active-noise-cancelling is enabled. The active-noise-cancelling is pretty lame compared to that of Bose.

The bass is the main focus on these headphones. It's big and exaggerated, being the center of focus. The bass extends pretty deep, but it's overpowered by the boosted mid-bass. Treble extension is also fairly good, but like the deeper bass, it's largely overlooked by the bass and is therefore recessed. The highs sounded sibilant to me because of this compared to other warmer sounding headphones .The mids are recessed just like the highs since they are overlooked by the bass. Vocals are all right but they are affected by the bass bleed of the emphasized mid-bass.

If all you care about is the big mid-bass found in most American pop music, these are the right headphones for you.

For me, I was hoping for amazing sound at this $300 price tag and I was very disappointed. I think I'll buy out a V-Moda Crossfade M-80 or Shure SRH840 at a cheaper price and sound much cleaner.

Dislike this if you want, but I was just pitching-in my thoughts, having high expectations for these headphones at $300.
