    Great Mouse!

    • Written by from Short Hills

When my old, Apple Mighty Mouse's scroll ball broke, I started looking for a new mouse. I considered the new Magic mouse. However, the Magic mouse seems too small for comfortable use, so Apple was out. I wanted a large-sized mouse that had a button like Apple's exposé button. I turns out many mice do. I found the Logitech Performance Mouse.

This mouse has exceptional tracking on all surfaces (works on glass too!). The forward and back buttons work great on web browsers and the exposé button rivals the one on the mighty mouse! The scroll wheel has a innovative new feature, the power to switch from a free-spinning wheel to the old-fashioned clicking scroll. I wouldn't recommend the zoom button on the free-spinning mode because it zooms too fast.

    Tracking: •••••
    Very responsive on all surfaces
    Scrolling: •••••
The hyperfast option is new and useful
    Custom Buttons: •••••
Forward and back are practical and functional additions
    Battery Life: •••••
The mouse is powered by a low self-discharge Eneloop battery
    Price: ••••
The cost is a bit much for some users, but the features are worth it

Overall, the Logitech Performance mouse is a great buy if you are willing to pay for the extra features such as hyperfast scrolling, forward and back buttons, exposé, and Darkfield tracking technologies.

    Great Mouse!!!!

    • Written by from Little Rock

I absolutely fell in love with this mouse the first day I had it!!! I like the Magic Mouse, but I edit a lot of video and different tasks that allow me to use this mouse. Secondly, it has more height. I was looking at the Magic Mouse seeing it only rose .93 inches off the table which is very very low. The Logitech PMMX rises at least an inch off the table. Thirdly, customization. The PMMX has so many features that the Magic Mouse is lacking such as customizing how you use the mouse. I used the Magic Mouse for about a week before realizing what I was getting myself into. I know there are applications that you can use with the Magic Mouse such as Better Touch Tool and MagicPrefs but I should be able to use those features automatically. Hopefully, Apple will fix that in the next mouse release. I have been using this mouse for 2 happy months and I don't regret buying this at all.

    I definitely recommend this mouse

I absolutely love this mouse. The ergonomic design is awesome. It fits my hand and feels so much better than what I have been using. I have average sized hands. I'm have a 7 1/2" hand size, from tip of middle finger to bottom of my palm. With that said, this mouse will feel great even with someone with bigger hands. I didn't know what I was missing until I got the mouse. With the programable buttons, I'm spoiled now. The mouse is designed so that the buttons do not interfere with my work flow or get in the way. It is far superior than the "Might Mouse" and "Magic Mouse" and does even more than they can do. Plus the battery lasts much longer and can be recharged while you work. The best thing about it, is that it works great with my Mac. Check it out for yourself.

Works great on any OS too!

I have this mouse hooked up with to a KMV that controls a Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, Ubuntu machine, and a really old Sony Vaio. Works great on all of them. I am on the computer at least 12 hours a day. I don't run through batteries like crazy anymore because it has its own charger. For more fine-tuned control over what all of the buttons do on the Mac, make sure to install the Logitech Control Center.

Scroll is pretty easy to use except for the left and right cursor that is the only thing I dont like about this mouse the price is pretty steep as well, but got an awesome discount through my friend who works at best buy I paid $ 73.00 out the door anyhow go out and get if you can afford it if not buy the revolution same thing only it does not scroll on all surface as the performances but almost same exact experience.

    Very very good buy.

This mouse has been a pleasure to use. I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch and I browse the web, do a little Photoshopping, and some soft core gaming. My previous mouse was the Magic Mouse (or whatever the touch sensitive Apple mouse is called). After using the Apple mouse for a while I realized that it had many flaws. I'd acidently swipe the mouse sometime's which would interrupt me when streaming Youtube. Second, it wasn't very comfortable at all. And lastly the conection and laser sensor I found wasn't very good.

With the MX mouse, I had none of those problems. The mouse is VERY nice to hold. the various, well designed buttons are a joy to use. Also the laser is very nice. I found myself carrying this mouse with me all around the house and even using it on surfaces such as a couch or glass.

This mouse is well worth the 100 bucks. Honestly no matter how much of a 'wow' factor the Magic Mouse has, this mouse is way better designed. The little receptor the plugs into the USB port, only sticks out maybe 3/4s of a cm. It turns on instantly and holds it's charge FOREVER. In fact, I don't even know if I've charged it 3 times yet and I've had it for a year.

This mouse deserves a 5/5. I don't know what more you could want from a mouse. Everything I do on a computer, this mouse can handle.

    5/5, 10/10 bye all means.

Simple put the best mouse for graphics of any sort.

If you edit photos in lightroom or aperture you know how important a good mouse is. This is the mouse you're looking for believe me. I'm on my second one of these having worn out the right button after 18 months of 9 hour a day use.

This mouse is very accurate and very comfortable, non of that jumping around you used to get. The extra buttons are great easy to program and well located. The range of this mouse is good and it can be used on any surface without issue.

I was looking to see if there is anything new on the market for my replacement but this seems the best currently available so I'm getting another.

Yes it would be better if it were bluetooth as you have to remove the receiver if you want to use it with both an iMac and a macbook pro. Equally it would be great if the scroll wheel moved left and right better but its the best on the market today.

if apple were to use this design shape for a new magic mouse with the touch sensitive pad like an iPhone on top I'd buy it as it would be application relevant and clean from the muck that tends to get picked up, but they don't so there we go.

I have this mouse and it's small cousin the notebook "Anywhere MX" mouse, and they're both great. Really enjoying the customizable buttons: programmed the thumb rest button for Mission Control and the zoom button for Launchpad.

I have huge hands, and this is a superb mouse for those whom have larger-than-average hands.

Great Mouse for anyone who doesn't like the magic mouse.

    • Written by from roseville

I bought my iMac with the magic mouse, I thought it would be okay for Dota2 which is the only game i currently play. but after long play time my hand got tired and the magic mouse just isn't precise. especially with only one button and the right click is only okay if your other finger is off the mouse.

Long story short. i got this mouse and it support mission control since I'm running mavericks X. and its had back and forward button for browsing. i don't feel like I'm missing out at all. without the magic mouse.

Today I'm actually going into the store to exchange my magic mouse for a touch pad. so i only use my mouse for precise photo editing and gaming.

good luck. this is a great mouse without compromises. supports mac fully.

    Pure Joy

    • Written by from plano

Had a mighty mouse, magic mouse but finally one that is comfortable, precise, and screams finished product. The magic mouse is beautiful to look at and works well but ergonomics fall short big time! Using it for hours it really takes a toll on the wrists (not comfortable at all). Smaller hands it works fine I'm sure but the LPM fits and does everything I need it to do with the multiple of buttons.

Excellent Mouse and well worth the money!

Awesome Mouse. I'm a video editor who is always on the go. This is my BABY. It not working in Mavericks was ruining my life - but they just released an upgraded driver package TODAY it seems. Back in business and a happy camper.

    Best mouse ever!

    • Written by from Kansas City

I've been using mice for 40 years, and this is my favorite. It has great ergonomics, is wireless, uses a common rechargeable AA battery, can be charged via USB, has no lag (like bluetooth mice), has several programmable buttons, and has excellent pointer tracking with the Logitech Darkfield technology. The mouse works great with OS X, Windows, Linux, and all virtual machines I have tried. The Hyper Fast Scrolling is the greatest innovation to mice since the demise of mouse balls.

    Probably the best on market

Logitech rarely go wrong when it come sot input devices, and this is no exception.

It looks beautiful and feels even better on your hand, like its a natural part of you makes you feel completely in the driving seat of your computer and in control. The response is amazing, even on my lacquered desk and the ability to charge while using is thoughtful, however I wish the USB charging cable was thinner and more flexible. but then it rarely needs a charge

Itunes is not fully compatible with this mouse.
If you really likes the mouse use it on Windows Media Player or another player.
