I bought these to do someing nice for myself. I recenlty purchased studio beats by dre and i could not be happier and i read some review neglecting them, knowing that i thought the tours be a homerun, i loved them but slighty overpriced. THEY ******* BROKE ON DAY 2. I couldnt work out with them, i got maybe 1-2 hours of listening, mgetting my money back if not a new pair

PLEASE, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY

    • Written by from Wantagh

PC Richards, a supposedly reliable store where you can purchase "official" products, no? I must speculate. Keeping this to a minimum, after purchasing the I-Beats for $100 and, after 2 weeks having experiencing a left-ear crackling & ultimate failure, brought back & - w/ $70 MORE - purchased the "Tours." The claimed "top of the line" in-ear headphones for this company and, AGAIN - ONE WEEK this time - Right ear failure ... Sound & volume in & out!! REALLY??! What's the chances?? Bringing these back NOW!!
Poor quality production & overall failure!! Dre should stick to putting out another "Chronic," & leave the headphone/ear-bud business to the professionals. What's it called?? The Great Hype?? Yea... Thats it! Again, don't waste time and/or money.

    NOT DURABLE

    • Written by from Nagoya

For a person who isnt much of an audiophile, these earphones are decent. For the price, not so much. Despite all of the bad reviews, i still decided to buy a pair. Being the careful person that i am, the earphones still decide on its own to fail on the right ear bud. If you are looking for earphones to sink your money into before buying some decent quality to price earphones, then these are right for you. If you want good long lasting earphones, i suggest to look some place else.

    Don't waste your money

Didn't even last a year. Had to send them off 2 times to get a new pair. The first time was cause the connection tore away from wire, the 2nd time brand new from the box, the volume and talk button didn't work. Now the left bud gets no sound, the talk feature doesn't work, and depending on how its connect the volume goes up and down. Will not purchase these again.

    Bad...

    • Written by from Los Angeles

The sound is OK when you use the biggest conic tips,, the ones that almost touch your tonsils. Takes a while to get used to them. The problem is the quality. Witihin their "one Year" warranty I had to return 4 sets, yes 4. Their cool looking red cable kept wearing off from the jack or one side earphone. When calling Monster Cable they always where polite and proffessional and always had them replaced whitin 15 days. My year warranty is gone and I'm just waiting for this last pair to wear out. No more replacements. I wish I had asked for my money back but i did not.

Great On Day One, Broken On Day Two

    • Written by from New York

I was excited to get these headphones, they should've been a huge upgrade over the Apple in-ear headphones. Upon first use they delivered very good bass and sound clarity, I was pleased. On day two the left ear bud broke producing limited sound with plenty of crackling static. For the amount these cost and the many other reviews reporting similar problems - stay away. There is obviously something wrong with the quality control of this product and should be addressed immediately by Monster. If I could, I would give these zero stars for the rating.

    Weak headphones.

    • Written by from Arlington

Don’t believe the wonders they talk about this headphones, they are pretty uncomfortable to wear. I can’t get along with any earplug. The sound isn’t that good for the prize. & my headphones stop working within the first week, common at least a year, but a week?.

    Devastated

    • Written by from Glasgow

These headphones sound OK but for the price you can get so much more. I originally had the diddy beats which were average. They broke, so i got them replaced for the tours (I had insurance). The first set lasted 4 hrs before it started to crackle in the left ear. Thinking it was bad luck I went back and got them replaced. They new set lasted less than a week (right ear was lower and the remote refused to work). Frustrated I took them back got a full refund and have purchased atomic floyd highdef drum (amazing).

The beats do look awesome but are not worth the money and are not sturdy at all.

    Do not buy.

Buy the Apple in ear headphones instead!

    • Written by from Fork

I'm not the kind of person that wants big bulky over-ear headphones so I asked my parents to get these for my birthday. They were so good when I got them, but less than a few months later, I quickly realized they were not worth the money at all and I feel bad for making my parents buying these for me. The headphones do a nice job with sound, but the headphones randomly cut out temporarily for a short time, making a sparatic crackly noise and it gets very annoying. The sound isn't worth a $150, and the construction of the headphones not even close to that. I am considering selling these on Ebay and getting the apple in ear headphones because it's the same thing but only $80!! I'm sure apple did a fine job making them and they also have the control talk with mic and volume control (which sold me on the beats)
Overall, the beats tour aren't bad, sound is above average, comfort is great, construction is ok, but apple can make the same thing. Spend your money elsewhere. You'll get a better deal.

Very Good Ear Buds for the price!

    • Written by from Southbridge

These are very good ear buds for the price. The ear buds stay tightly in your ear (as long as you use the right size tips, Monster includes 5 different sizes). Also, included are 2 attachable/flexible clips that wrap around your ear to insure they don't fall out; these make a big difference and should have been included with the original tours released in 2010. The sound quality is above average and the control talk is an excellent useful feature.

not off to a good start...

    • Written by from North Vancouver

When I first bought my Tours I was impressed with the sound and was happy that I bought them, however only 6 HOURS after buying them the plastic cover of the back of the mic control fell off and the speaker on the opposite side produces scratchy noises. I treated the ear phones with respect and and did not do anything to make them fall apart. I would like to return them but i bought them in the US and I live in Canada so I would have to drive across the boarder ( which is about a 1 and a half hour wait because it is the end of spring break) an then pick them up, another two hours and then return home ( about two more hours) I am not sure if i should pick another pear or buy a different kind...

Dr. Dre....why you gotta do me like that?

    • Written by from libertyville

Got these to replace a set of Beats Tour headphones (which fell apart) and while they didn't sound as good as the Tours, I was happy with them overall. Unfortunately after about 6 months the insulation started to fray and then the plastic cover over the mic suddenly popped off and now they have moved to the kitchen junk drawer while I shop for a replacement, which won't be any of the Beats....

    Lasted almost 6 whole months

    • Written by from Camas

Impressive right? The poorly designed low profile plug is the weak point. I handled these with kid gloves, only to discover the night before a flight that the insulation had cracked and the words were exposed and beginning to fray. The left earphone was the first to go. This is the first pair that I have had in over 600,000 miles of travel to fail like this. Don't waste your money.

    BASS BOTTOM IS AWSOME

    • Written by from New York

I like to hear the bass in my headphones and Dr. Dre's beats does not disappoint. I also like being able to hear the highs, mid tones and lows as well and these headphones offer all of that.

I first purchased the Bose in ear headphones, but had to take them back because they were defected. I was worried about exchanging them for another pair, so looked at a few more they had available in the Apple store. I'm pretty familiar with Dr. Dre from his music so decided to try his headphones. The sales girl in the store was very helpful and let me sample both the Bose and Dr. Dre headphones. Not a usual thing.

I love Bose have their speakers, but have to admit that Dr. Dre had them beat when it came to over all sound quality. I sampled different genre's of music with his headphones and was very pleased with the sound quality.

If you like a rich bass sound in your headphones and clarity of vocals you will love his headphones. He's a music producer who mixes music as well, so he got this right! Thank you Dr. Dre for finally making some headphones that can pump the bass without distortion and still allow the vocals and other instruments to come through clearly.

He even offers you multiple heads for the earphones to adjust the right fit for your inner ear. He thought of everything. Now I will be pumping that BASS!

    Good for about 2 months

    • Written by from Koonawarra

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before buying these. I bought my first set because of the tangle free cords which was great and figured if they were expensive they would be good. They worked well for a couple of months then the left ear died.
Figured it was a one off thing. I bought another pair but different model and the exact same thing happened. Not happy. Time to cut my losses and buy something else.

    Great Sound.. Die to easily

    • Written by from Queen Creek

I love the sound on these headphones but I am now on my 3rd pair since I purchased them 6 months ago. I use them daily at work as well as at the poker table and the sounds is great and clear like you would expect but my first two sets either 1 or both speakers died from just normal use and then would rattle or just stop playing all together.

Fingers crossed on this new set but they are only 3 weeks old right now!

They were great while they worked

    • Written by from Bay Village Ohio

I've had my Beats Tour for about 10 weeks now, I really enjoyed them untill about 2 days ago. The right earbud has stopped working compleatly. The left earbud keeps coming apart and is bound to compleatly break soon. The sound quality was alright but it wasnt noticeably different from the stock apple ones. Definitely not worth the 150$ or even 20$ when compared to the stock apple ones.

    not worth the money

    • Written by from Wollstonecraft

the good: these sound pretty great. I heard details in songs I wasn't used to hearing with earbuds before. the bad: they've started falling appart after a few months of use which is not to be expected for $150 headphones. The left side cut out for a while but has magically come back. The cable has started falling appart near the left earpiece and and by the mic/volume control. Also, the earbuds come off pretty easily which means they are prone to getting lost (or stuck way up an ear cannal in my case...).
