This is a great piece of gear for home recording: its easy to use and set up and the sound quality is excellent. But my complaint is that the jack from the USB device to the Apogee does not seat well in the Apogee end and after several months of use results in static during recordings (and always at the most inopportune of times...) If Apogee could make a more robust seat for the connector this would be a truly superb piece of gear.
My expectations was maybe to high when I purchase this product 3 weeks ago to replace my older Dell PC computer with a Creative sound blaster sound card installed when I purchase my PC 5 years ago.
A month ago, I switched to Mac, Macbook Pro 13" 8GB / 2.53 processor. I purchase my Apogee ONE 2 weeks ago and since then, I'm trying about anything to make it sound like my previous Creative sound card. Being new to Mac, I discovered the equalizer in itune and been trying a few adjustment with the frequency of the equalizer. So far, no luck to come close of my previous Creative sound card.
I was reading the other 2 posters review, and wish they could give me some hint to tweak my sound. My Apogee ONE is hook to my sound system, Harmon Kardon, with 2 Bose bookshelf speakers.
