I got it on the weekend and in less than 1 min" I return it for another one and the second one didn't work either, so I can’t recommended.

    worth $400

I've considered swapping my CD changer for an expensive aftermarket iPod iPhone auxiliary unit that would have cost $400+ but this does the trick. Although CD quality or a digital connector would be better sound, but for the money you can't beat this tape-adapter. As far as tape adaptors go this one is far superior. The previous monster tape adapter was lousy compared to this one, this one dosen't seem to have any moving parts inside which made the previous product a piece of junk and sounded terrible. Also this iCarPlay has a reinforced "1/8th inch adapter that plugs into the headphone jack, the old one wasn't and eventually crimped and exposed wire. iPhone sounds great, just keep the volume set around 60% to avoid distortion. I highly recommend this product for a tape-adapter.

My late model Acura CL cassette player was spitting out a competing adapter. The Monster sits in there very happily and the sound to above average..

I bought this to go with my new iPhone 5 because my old radio transmitter can't work with it (thanks Apple). The very first time using it was on my way home. The drive take about 25 minutes. This product stopped working 5 times. Stopped working as in stopped playing and wouldn't resume. I had to eject the cassette then put it back in. 5 times. While on my way home. This is a stupid thing. But props the the marketing team, they made a hunk of junk look pretty good. I wouldn't say don't buy it, but I can't recommend it.

    It works just fine

I use it with my iphone 4. I'm not saying the quality of sound is great but it was good enough that I am able to enjoy the music. The reason I give 4 stars not 5 is because it drops down the sound volume quite a bit that then I tune back to radio, it blasts out so loud! Other than that, I'm happy with this thing.

Works better than expected in my 97 Acura RL

I read all these horrible reviews saying it pops out, it has bad static, it breaks. I also understand that we all drive different cars and are subject to different outcomes. So I shelled out a whopping $25 to give it a try. I got in my car, popped the tape in (was already set up correctly for my car) plugged into my iphone5, put the iphone volume at 3/4ths and turned up the car volume. I was shocked how good it sounds. Definitely a good buy for me and excellent sound quality. It just depends on your stock stereo and car make and model. But I lucked out and couldn't be happier.

We have bought two of these for two different cars, each one has been bad on purchase. The hideous loud buzz mentioned in other reviews, from two different units, on two different tape players. Appalling that they even still sell this product.

    Poor Audio Quality

Tried one of these on my iPhone in a TomTom GPS mount in my 2006 Acura TL. Very poor tonal quality. Adjusting the equalizer settings had no impact. Working with the nice folks at the Tampa Apple Store, I tried a total of 3 with no luck. Went to Radio Shack and bought an inexpensive model and it works great. I found other reviews online with similar results so I don't know if its a quality problem or what.

The best cassette adapter on the market

I've tried several cassette adapter models and none compare in sound quality to this device. I found it to be better than the FM modulator I had previously as well.

    Poor audio quality

I'm not very impressed by this product. It makes a relatively loud noise in the cassette deck, and there is a slight constant static noise over the speakers. The audio quality it's self is weak at best. I wouldn't recommend this product.

This was really cheap, and if you can get the cord to stay in the phone, the music is not bad (for what this thing cost) but my cord will not stay in the phone. I have a Iphone5 with a Otterbox case, and I'm not sure if the case causes it or not, too much trouble to remove the case so haven't tried that yet, but even so I doubt I would remove it just for the music. It's a great idea and glad it works for a lot of others, but not sure I'll use it much due to the cord popping out in the middle of songs.

I only wish I could give it 0 starts.
It works, but quality is terrible. If you listen to rap, it may work for you.
    Normal music, just forget it.
