Euphonix MC Control
Hardware Lust
Written by PP from Cupertino

I admit it, I have hardware lust. But this thing deserves it. The tactile control of Logic faders plus the ability to tweak plug-in controls with knobs instead of the mouse make this thing killer. The fact that it has a touch screen and automated faders make this, in combination with the MC Mix, the center of my home-studio.

Euphonix MC Control
Compact Studio Control

Artistic creation at a premium level using a pro quality controller. What you get is the ability to interact with your audio programs to really utilize the effects and plug ins. I use mine with a Mac Pro along with a Apogee Duet, and a Mackie d.2 Pro. It will simulate other control boards and will also recognize the Duet for integrated recording. Easy to set up and comes with video lessons from Euphonix. The MC control allows you to program your settings to include your favorite effects and recording tools. Once you master set up, the unit will recognize any compatible applications. Also works with Photoshop, but not sure how it works with adobe programs as I a have not tried it yet. There is a learning curve, but for serious musicians with home or small studios this will take you to the next level in producing.
Only negative is that the plastic stands that can be attached to elevate the MC Control feel cheap and do not come off easily after mounted. So make sure you really want to use the stand before attaching. For the price Euphonix should include a better quality stand. Thus the 4 versus 5 stars.4 of 4 people found this useful
