Optoma Pico PK-101 Pocket Projector for iPhone/iPod
Carry a tv with you in your pocket.

I love this thing. Our fire station has no television in the bunk rooms, so I bring this projector along when I'm on duty, hook it to my ipod classic and watch a 60 inch tv on the wall. With an on stage amplifier plugged into the earphone jack, you have great sound to go with a more than adequate picture. No, it's not HD, but for a projector that's barely bigger than the ipod itself, it's amazing. I found that a Pelican 1020 case will hold this projector in it's carry pouch, it's spare battery and it's ipod connector cord. It protects the unit from anything short of the engine running over it.

I just purchased this Optoma Projector, along with the Bose I-Pod docking system and I use it with either my I-Pod touch or classic and I have instant theater for under 5 pounds. I keep these items with me 24/7 to turn any opportunity into a movie moment!!!

You Get What You Paid For...

I love this thing. Being a frequent traveler, it is great to just set up in your hotel room and project a movie onto the wall. The internal speakers are small and not that great but that is an easy fix with some externals. I highly recommend this to anybody and it also makes a great Father's Day gift.

Great in a dark room

This little projector works perfect for what I intended which was being able to watch movies or tv shows off my iphone in bed at night. I have it blown up to about a 65 inch screen and still is crystal clear. This is with a near pitch black room however. I would not recommend this to try and show powerpoints off on business trips unless you know you can really control the room lighting. You would be able to get your point across to a small number of people but wouldn't look great.

Incredible in all areas

I was astounded at the clear projection from something this small. Since I've only had it for about a week, I don't know how durable it will be and whether or not the 20K hours is really true. However, it does what it says it does and I can also use my computer with the mini display port to VGA adapter and a Radio Shack Gigaware PC to TV connection; older model but it does the trick with auxilliary audio speakers. Another option which sounds more convenient would be to take pics of my presentations and just use the 3G and the pico although I haven't tried this yet. I've projected DVDs on the screen however and the clarity especially at night is perfect for my non-digital eyes.

This product is simple Amazing! Small size with Great picture quality (Color and Bright). The projector sound quality is poor but it could be solved with extra speakers.

Picture quality is quite good since how small the device is. The projector is an expensive toy but fun to have. Great for red-eye flights, for best results shine onto the ceiling. Overall, the Pico is good for travel, but if youre looking to use it at home it is not worth the money.

Even though this prodect costs a lot, it is very useful when attempting to show a group of people pictures. The quality is phenomenal. This projector is way less expensive then most projectors and almost anything can be placed on the iphone to project. i love it!

The good, the bad and the ugly

The Good: Great picture. The small size is incredible and very light.
The Bad: Small speaker, and the package doesn't include an adapter to use external speakers WITH the projector.
The Ugly: The price is pretty steep, but one of those gadgets you have to have if you can afford it.162 of 182 people found this useful
