    Breaks easily

    • Written by from Eugene

I have had this for a while. A few months after I bought it, the bottom plastic piece that keeps it from sliding out the bottom just broke off all by itself. I have glued it back a couple of time but it doesn't last. Great concept. Not worth the money.

    Great until....

    • Written by from Colorado Springs

Loved it, but the first time we removed the Time Capsule from the mount and put it back in - the bottom brace that holds it in place broke without any pressure. Now we have it back in place, but had to rig it so it doesn't drop on the floor. I'm calling Apple tomorrow to see if they will make it right. $40 is a lot to spend if it doesn't hold up to a ONETIME removal!

A must have for the Time Capsule!

    • Written by from Wahiawa

I bought this to keep my Time Capsule in a secure location on my wall behind my iMac. It fits perfectly and does the job well. You can mount the Time Capsule sideways if you want to but is not necessary. A must have to protect and keep your Time Capsule out of harms way on a stand or desk top. A++++

    Worked Perfect, Easy to Install

It was more money than I wanted to spend but it was exactly what I needed. The installation could not have been any easier. I am very satisfied.

After mounting this on a wall in our bonus room our wifi connection has never been better. My house is about 3,500 sq feet and I have absolutely no problems.

    Poorly Designed!!

    • Written by from Columbus

I just installed one of these for my Time Capsule, and I can tell you that the functional design took a far backseat to the "it's gotta look cool" marketing group. The 1/8" lip is totally laughable. While this lip does exist, it is designed to catch on the edge of the rubber base pad on the TC, hardly secure over the long term. They should have extended this lip out to reach fully underneath the bottom. As it is, your Airport backbone and TC drive will be suspended above the floor (8-feet to concrete in my case) supported by only a thin lip of plastic against a rubber backing. NO WAY!! I had to install a small wooden block just below the TC as "safety stop" just in case the lip lost contact with the rubber base pad. Yes, I could have rotated the installation by 90-degrees, but that doesn't help. The plastic "side rails" that catch into the grooves of the TC are themselves not molded, but are simple inserts that can easily fall out, and are held in place only by friction. While it's better than duct tape and bailing wire, it's not much better. If you go this route, consider this bracket to be only a starting point. You'll need something extra for a safety stop, and super glue to make it properly secure.

    Does the job PERFECTLY!!!!!

    • Written by from Marlton

I have been using this bracket since I purchased my Time Capsule almost 3 years now and it just does what it's supposed to do and it does it very well.
I screwed it to wood securly and it didn't crack or break and I have cleaned it dozens of times not to mention rearranging cables and such and not once has it been dislodged from all the activity.
I also like the way it holds the TC off the surface a bit which I'm sure aids cooling and my signal strength is excellent all over the house if it were made of metal I would bet that would interfere with the signal.

So if you need to mount your TC this is the way to go!

Shattered when I tried to install

    • Written by from Bethesda

I tried to install this on our basement cork board and it shattered from the tension of the screws!! And the screws weren't even on that tight.

The idea of making a wall mount bracket out of fragile polycarbonate is just ridiculous. It should have been made of aluminum or sheet metal or something that could withstand being screwed onto a surface. Now I have a broken bracket, and still no way to mount my Time Capsule. I am quite unhappy.

Great Idea! Poor Design! Capsule falls right out!

    • Written by from Sherman Oaks

Great idea, very slick looking. BUT, the "integrated stop" or lip at the bottom that prevents your Time Capsule from "sliding" out is only about 1/8" thick. The slightest movement of the Time Capsule such as when you are dusting the unit, any adjusting/unplugging/plugging of the power/USB/Ethernet cable, or simply bumping the unit....AND IT SLIPS RIGHT PAST the "Integrated stop" and FALLS RIGHT OUT ....And there goes your $300-$500 hard drive that has all your most important information backed up on it. So surprised at how overlooked this was in the design. It looks slick, but it's just not worth the risk. If you must use it, you MUST mount is sideways. That is the only way to prevent this Accident Waiting To Happen.

I've Been Waiting & Waiting For A Product Like This!

    • Written by from Renton

I've been looking & looking for a mount for the Time Capsule & Apple TV & finally yesterday I stumbled across it on Apple's Store Website. Quickly researched it & found out they also make a wall mount for the Apple TV called TV Tray. I didn't want to wait for shipping so I drove to the Manufacturer seems they were in my back yard & bought both the Air Mount TC & TV Tray directly from the Manufacturer H-Squared, LLC in Bellevue WA. Anyways, after a few questions I quickly purchased both mounts & drove home & within 1 & 1/2 Hrs I had my Time Capsule Mounted on the Ceiling upside Down with no wires showing at all & had my Apple TV Mounted on the Wall with no wires showing, I hooked up both the Apple TV & Time Capsule with the LED light that plugs in to the useless Service USB ports which lights up the clear Acrylic Plastic Mount and makes my Time Capsule & Apple TV Glow (it comes with the Apple TV TV Tray ONLY & is an add on accessory for the Air Mount TC). I highly recommend H-Squared, LLC's Air Mount TC & TV Tray! Worth Every Penny.

    Great Design - Durable

    • Written by from Cloverdale

I have the Air Mount TC for the time-capsule which has just been released. Very durable plastic and great design. Mounted on wall. No problems with Time Capsule sliding past the stop at all, it's very solid. I like the corkscrew drywall hardware that is supplied as it provides a secure tap for the screws. Highly recommend.
