    Excellent Case

This is an excellent case. I've done my research over the last six months and have tried at least six different cases out for my iPod 120GB Classic. While most every case has at least several good features, this is the only one that rates perfectly right across the board. Its protective elements are matched only by the Speck Armor Skin (also anti-shock and screen protective) but unlike the Speck, the iSkin Evo3 Duo isn't a bulky, unattractive monster. This case actually enhances the look of the iPod. What's more, with its scratch-proof screen (to date the only case to feature true scratch resistance) it'll stay looking good over time. The design is superb, with the visor edges melding into the silicone side grooves to yield a perfectly flush fit. It has a belt clip which can be removed. An included silicone disk fits into the nodes that normally hold the clip in place in order to prevent dust from entering. Some users may lament the fact that this particular iSkin does not cover the click wheel, but personally I find this ideal, especially since the new Classic's wheel responsiveness was reduced somewhat. The wheel is significantly recessed thanks to the design of the visor face-plate, so the likelihood of scratching the wheel is minimal. All in all, this is a superior case that you're sure to be happy with.

Just got my case in the mail today and have to say that I really REALLY like it. I was kinda worried about the whole silicone layer that supposedly covers the click wheel and causes sensitivity trouble that I've seen comments about, but thankfully nothing covers the click wheel at all, not even the clear plastic shield, so navigation is no problem whatsoever. I'll never have to take this out of the case EVER because all ports are accessible. The case's clear shield is really scratch proof, I just tested it, and there's no problems of dust getting inside even after you take the belt clip off because there's a little silicone disk inside that covers up the two holes. I thought I would have at least one complaint about it as I usually do with everything else, but I can't find any. Well, one little minor thing is that the hold switch is a teensy bit more difficult to click over than if it were out of the case, but I almost never use the hold feature so it's absolutely no big deal. I was also worried about it being bulky like alot of other cases, but this thing is not bulky at all. Not even a tad. Simply put, awesome case and it might be a bit pricey for a case in my opinion, but it is SO worth the price now that I have it. No longer am I worried about dropping and breaking my iPod or scratching the screen and body up with my car keys in my pocket or something.

This is the best of both worlds! It totally protects the ipod and allows it to be used. The response of the scroll is a bit sluggish compared to a "naked" ipod, but the wheel is sealed off from nearly all foreign objects! One small nuisance is that my FM Transmitter barely fits through the skin, but it does!

When I updated my 30 gb ipod with a 120 gb classic, I couldn't find a cover to fit. It seemed like all the ones I bought were too big or too small. This one fits PERFECTLY and it allows me access to the clickwheel with no problem. Every once in a while I have to pause the play so I can hear someone talking :). This one makes it easy. I love that the screen is really protected too, my 30 gb ended up with a few scratches. Definitely worth money!

I just purchased this cover for my brand new Ipod Classic (7th generation). The website doesn't state it will work with the most recent model but I had no problem getting the ipod to fit inside the skin. The case almost doubles the thickness of the ipod itself. All of the ports (power, headphone, and Lock) are still easily accessible when the cover is on I do not own a dock so I cannot comment on if it will dock with the skin on but I doubt it. The plastic front is quite thick which will help in case there are any accidental drops. The case does not limit your use of the click wheel. The clip is easily removable as I had no need for it. The only negative thing about the case is that it does collect very small bits of dust and dirt. I have only owned it for a few days so hopefully over time it wont attract as much. But it doesn't have that "brand new" look. The ipod looks beautiful by itself but the case is a necessity.

this case is awesome, protects well. i dropped it out of my car going 60 and the case got damaged but the ipod was PERFECTLY fine. the only problem is the sides b/c they dont go around the ipod completely, like the sides stick out a little but other than that its a great case. Also my screen doesn't get scratched anymore b/c the covering making movie watching more enjoyable. GREAT CASE, IF YOUR THINKING ABOUT BUYING IT BUY IT B/C THIS CASE IS REALLY PROTECTIVE.

It aint pretty, but it is the best case available. I'm relieved to see that they have re-instated production for the slimmer iPod Classic. I've had the same one for years (literally) for the thicker iPod models (old 80/160GB) and have only recently managed to scratch the front cover with a drop in some gnarly gravel. Still reveal a shiny, brand new looking iPod every time the mood strikes to pull it out. My iPod is a utility for me, traveling the globe and doubling as a backup hard drive, so I need something sturdy to protect those precious bytes... This is the only case you'll ever need (trust me, I've done my research on cases).

It is a pain to put on and take off, but why would you want to do that anyhow? huh?

I had gotten myself an iPod Classic 160 GB a few months ago and have been looking for a nice looking and functional case to protect it. I came across this iSkin and read the reviews about how great it is and decided to buy it. It came in the mail a few minutes ago and I LOVE it! The styling is awesome, you can use every port without taking off the case, the click wheel is accessable, and being able to take off the clip is another huge bonus. Look no longer for another case. This is the best case you can get!

This offers excellent protection all around. The display is surprisingly scratch resistant, making it perfect for those who watch a lot of videos/movies on their iPods.

The control wheel functions perfectly under the silicone layer.

I thought it was a GREAT case for protecting the I Pod, but then I couldn't use it on my dock to listen to music unless I took the cover off, which is a lot of work. I use my I Pod while on a treadmill and then like to come home and listen to music on my Bose dock, so will return the case to one easier to take off.

Was this useful? Great for protection, but not versatile.

i like this case, even though it's a TAD bulky. but there is no way anything is going to harm my ipod now.... not even two tubes of lip gloss exploding in my purse.

This case will not only protect your Ipod Classic 7th Gen 160G (2009), but it will make it look 5 times cooler. Best of all, the click wheel does not get covered at all. The only minor gripe is getting it in the case. I have not tried to dock it, but even if I did, I know how to get it in and out of the case within a few minutes.

Good case, and the window for the clickwheel is good. The only downside is removing the cover (for runners like me, for instance), which, if you do a lot, gets easier. Great for walkers and hikers.

The good, the bad, the ugly

First the ugly. It's ugly, but it's nothing personal, really.

    The good:
It SEEMS like it would be durable (see below)
By design, it protects one's beloved iPod

    The bad:
No protection for the click wheel, other than that it is recessed
It is NOT low profile on the hip, which leads to...
The clip (nice rotating design) is chintzy plastic.
I sat down in an armchair and the iPod caught on the arm and the clip broke.
I had this case for a few weeks - the previous case (another brand - another
    style) lasted a few years.

This is a good case except for the clip - fine for keeping in one's purse or pocket.

I bought this back in December 2005 for my 32GB classic iPod. After 7 years, my iPod and the case were still going strong. The clip broke off somewhere along the way, but I never really used it anyway. Though my dear iPod was eventually lost/stolen (it will forever remain a mystery) a few months ago, I knew that it probably would have lasted several more years simply because of the protection that it got from this case. I bought a new 120GB classic (seriously, Apple? You can't make a smaller classic?) today, and immediately ordered this case for it. Barring any instances of loss or theft, I know that my new iPod will last for another decade!
