Picked this game up as soon as i could, works fine on my MBP 2.16 with 2 RAM. I do have to turn down settings but, it's still very much playable. There are many many differences to this game compared to the first. one, there are less gb Miracles. and training your creature is much different and way easier, it's also more like an RTS then B&W.
The goal is the same. Start your city and be the only god left. There are now two ways to do it. Build an army, Swordsman, Archers and Catapults, as well as your creature. To train your creature to use miracles you can't just show them it many times, you have to spend points on it, basically you buy it.
The other option is to Build a city that is so impressive that people want to join you, (just like B&W 1) the main difference is that instead of you gaining the new city, you just gain the stores and the people, and you main city just gets better.
Making Buildings is much better then B&W 1 too, no more losing your Workshop and needing to restart, get to build just from the town center, like C&C you can also Force the buildings instead of waiting for them to be built, but you do lose resources doing it that way.
I've had it crash 3 times in about 25 hours play.46 of 50 people found this useful

If you like to build cities and run societies then you will enjoy this game. My wife plays too and she likes it because you can choose to be good and still win.
I was looking for a modern equivalent of the old Amiga game "Populous"...and this is pretty much it. The music, graphics, sounds, and other details are all excellent as well as the particle effects.
Controlling armies takes some getting used to...but it is a minor hassle. Overall, it's lots of fun and I have stayed up late too many nights this week playing it.20 of 21 people found this useful

It's very fun and creative game. Everything is fine except for the amount of time it takes to win a scenario if you choose to be good.

Just OK

Bought this after playing the Age of Empire and Warcraft series and am disappointed. The story line is juvenile, graphics mediocre at best, and it is slow and has frozen a couple of times on my iMac. This game is pretty lame compared to Warcraft and AOE yet is the same price. I expected a lot better and would sell you my copy for $10 if I could.

Failed to Launch

This game failed to launch on a new unibody MBP. The MBP meets and exceeds system requirements listed on the back of the box. This game is awesome, though it has never functioned well on any system or OS i have used.
