    doesn't support controllers

    Written by SW from Berkeley

LucasArts has a forum full of complaints about support for gamepad controllers on this game, and some clever people have come up with workarounds for the Windows version. No one has figured out a fix for Mac gamers, though, so the game is unplayable with many of the most common controllers. It's outrageous that LucasArts has done such an awful job communicating about and addressing these problems. This is the worst gaming experience I've ever had. Thanks for ruining Xmas, LucasArts.

    Great Game, Great Adventures

Some reviewers noted controller incompatibility with Mac LEGO Indiana Jones. The Mac-version authors at feralinteractive.com say they support the Logitech Precision Pad, Logitech Rumblepad 2, and Madcatz Game Pad Pro. My Logitech Rumblepad 2 works great with Mac LEGO Indiana Jones. Using a controller is more fun than using a keyboard, and saves LOTS of keyboard wear-and-tear.

Pros: Overall this is an awesome game. I like it a bit better than the LEGO Star Wars games. I love the new ability to pick and use up your enemy's weapons and pick up stuff that is lying around. I like it settings things down on a green LEGO pad allows them to activate other things. I love how if Indy stands on an orange/brown pad, pressing Special Ability makes Indy use his whip to swing across or pull down something (like a bridge). I also like hopping onto vines and swinging across to different platforms.

Cons: I think the Barnett College hub is a pretty confusing. I've played it several times and still can't find the mailroom. Also, the new capability to save freeplay in mid-scene could be better. I wish it could save the scene either at the current place or at the beginning of the scene. Currently, if you want to start the scene over, you have to manually go back to the beginning of the scene.

Overall I highly recommend this game. This game is similar to LEGO Star Wars but is different enough to make the purchase worthwhile for those who already own LEGO Star Wars. People who don't own LEGO Star Wars could start directly with LEGO Indiana Jones, but it might be easier to start out on the more-basic LEGO Star Wars.

    Awful

I was so excited to buy this game- I thought it would be something fun and easy. However, the only thing I enjoyed was turning the game off! Something about the controls and the 'toggling' between characters was choppy and hard to use fluidly. The game looked great, but every time I thought I would give it another chance- I ended up frustrated and annoyed at the horrible actions and controls. I would avoid this game at all costs.

    FUN GAME!

My 4 year old son and I play the two player on the same team using the Logitec gamepad controller. He amazes me that he can solve some of the puzzles. The game is funny and fun. I love playing this with him. Too bad the vibration doesn't work with it.

This game made him want to be Indy for Halloween. Looking forward to getting part 2!
