Logitech Dual Action Gamepad
Works on COD -- sort of :-(

I picked up this gamepad to try out on Call of Duty 2 and 4. Using 3rd party software I was able to get most of the functionality of the pad to work, but it was unusable for a first person shooter. There is no movement control for turning as on a mouse, and controlling targeting was impossible with the joysticks. If you cannot turn the player with the controller, your only motion is forward, back, and side to side, but you are always facing one way. Programming the joystick for turning did not work.
What we really need is a pistol grip pointer with turning awareness (internal gyroscope our mouselike ball with sensors?), and 8 buttons. Pointing at the screen would be a natural way to play.21 of 26 people found this useful

Logitech Dual Action Gamepad
Limited to No Support (COD4)

This controller works fine with emulators and all that, but when I try and play it with Call of Duty 4, nothing happens. Its dead. There is no support on the logitech website for macs and a lot of third-party software that claims to emulate the keystrokes of a keyboard does not work for it either. Tried USB Overdrive and others... no luck. If anyone has any solutions PLEASE respond. I've never been one to use the keyboard/mouse for FPS.
