Size Really Doesn't Matter
Written by FL from Brooklyn

I just received these today as a birthday present from my mom.
When I saw how small they were, I underestimated their capabilities. Boy, was that a mistake.
They're so portable and cute, and they live up to their function. The amount of crisp, but still
resonating sound that these speakers produce is deafening. They're amazing. If you want
something small, yet powerful, these are for your device.3 of 3 people found this useful

Wow!

I needed to expand the volume out of my MacBook Pro. I searched the site and saw the speakers and price. I went to the Apple store looking for the speakers at the speaker display. They were not there. Found them hanging with accessories. Could not believe the size. Together in travel mode they stand half the size of my iPhone. For the price and size these speakers are Fabulous! Great for travel. In fact, they fit in your pocket. If you are an audiophile these speakers are certainly not for you just as the speakers in your MacBook would not be for you! They even work in phone mode on your iPhone. I say buy them and try them. The apple store offers a 14 day return policy! How can you go wrong!

Work great!

Great battery life. Perfect for portable iPhone speakers. Do distort a little with heavy bass (easily fixed by adjusting equalizer).

Junk

Just tried out my new iHM77 mini speakers and was thoroughly disappointed. Threw them into the bottom of my junk drawer and will probably never use them again. If I could have chosen 0 stars I would have.

Perpetual scratchy/static sound
Written by RS from Silver Spring
Oct 23, 2009
I got these and for some reason I get this scratching/static sound that comes on and off for no reason. I read another reviewer mention this but no one else did. I would not recommend them, for the price they certainly should not be making noise when they're not supposed to make noise. Other than that they are pretty decent, they get pretty loud (louder than MacBook Pro speakers at least), and are nice and compact.

Shockingly good
Written by FP from Brooklyn

I just bought this today, in preparation for my week long conference in Denver. Before I went to the store, I was really skeptical; when I saw it at the store, it was so small that I began to worry... worst of all, they did not have one on display so I could not check the sound before buying it. So, I went with total faith and bought it.
I am listening to it as we speak and I am shocked at how good this little thing sounds. Let's all be frank, if you are a bass player or like me you spend most of your time listening to DUB, clearly you need to invest $399 on the Bose speakers (which are fantastic, btw). But, for its size, convenience, sound, I will not say this is a good investment, you will get your money's worth.10 of 10 people found this useful

No Better Sounding Than The MacBook Speakers
Written by SN from Glen Ellyn
Oct 22, 2009
If you are looking to get a better sound than your laptop or tower speakers, don't bother with these. Too expensive for what they are. You could spend a fifth of what these cost and get an equally sounding pair.
First, they are really small (smaller than I thought they'd be). The only really small speakers that sound good are found in headphones.
Second, the sound quality is very tinny and bottomless (refer to point one). I found the emitted sound to be on par with the MacBook Pro's built in speakers.
Third, when plugged into my Mac tower and operating off of USB power, I get a terrible line interference with static noise and electronic clicks. When operating on battery power, they are quiet.
So, if you what you crave is a thin sounding set of tiny satellite speakers, these are for you. If, like me, you crave a quality sounding set of smaller satellite speakers worthy of fifty bucks, look elsewhere. I will be.7 of 13 people found this useful

Great little speakers
Written by JM from Tampa

I love these little guys. I can take them anywhere - work, beach, around the house etc. They really do play a very long time between charges. My only gripe is that they do buzz a bit if used while charging -- other than that they are awesome.
I get lots of compliments on them whenever i bring them out too.5 of 6 people found this useful

Absolutely Incredible
Written by DG

I decided that I would buy these yesterday. I read the reviews and saw the pictures and I was thinking that this is obviously one of those products that are overrated. I was wrong. I bought these at my local Apple store today and the man who registered them told me that he used them today on iChat and that they are the best. I was thinking, but they're so small! I'd just have to take a chance. And he was right! Even though they're small, the songs on my iTunes sound so much better! These blow away the speakers inside your mac. Absolutely Incredible!

Sounds a little tinny
Written by GB from Wildomar

Pros: small, compact, look nice
Cons: sound is "tinny" (not much base). When plugged into USB for charging, there is a buzz in the sperakers.10 of 15 people found this useful
