    Back of phone scratched

Written by RB from Kawartha Lakes

    Sep 10, 2009

As said in other reviews, the back of my phone has a lot of damage done to it from this case, I dont know why. The case is not falling apart after owning it for a year.

    Want scratches on your iPhone?

    Written by ER from BROOKLYN

    Jun 12, 2009

...then get this case! This case totally scratched up the back of my phone and the sides. I've had it since the 3G came out and my iPhone is jacked up!!!

I fits and hugs it like no other case and it does look pretty but once you're ready to sell your phone or something, you're screwed.

This case 100% defeats the purpose of a case.

Great slim fit, white hinges get dirty.

    Written by BU from Honolulu

    Dec 31, 2008

I picked case this for my white iPhone 3G for its light weight and slim form factor, but I really like the flip open bottom best. I can dock this into my older iPod cradle (though the 3G doesn't "officially" work with that cradle, at least the charging part works!).

I also had the original iPhone and owned the InCase Black Silicone cover (nice, but got a little loose-fitting and was a pocket lint magnet), and Agent18 Clear Shield (better in the pocket).

The ONLY downside to the Flick Case I have so far is that the white "hinge" and top power button cover are made of a silicone-y rubbery material that has turned from white to a dirty gray. OK, one more downside - this should be a $24.95 product, not a $34.95 case.

But it does the job well so far and is the closest to feeling like the iPhone doesn't
have a case on at all.

Four of five stars! (If this ever wears out, I'll get a black Flick case...)

    Flick scratches iPhone back

    Written by AC from Toronto

    Dec 28, 2008

I thought I liked the product as well after the initial few weeks. It's very thin, adds very little to the phone, and still allows us to use a dock. However, after a month or so of wear, I had to take it off (so the iPhone would fit into a FM transmitter I just bought) and noticed four long scratches on the back of my phone, right along the ribs of the case where it actually touches the iPhone. I thought the case was supposed to prevent scratches, not cause them! On my black iPhone, they're totally noticeable. For all those who gave it a 5 star rating, check your phones and let me know if I'm the only one.

    Cracked screen

    Written by JK from Breckenridge

    Dec 4, 2008

Do not buy this case! I have had an iPhone from the beginning, both the original and the 3G. I've had all kinds of cases. I have dropped my phones numerous times while in the case. In this case, my screen cracked. Broke my heart. It was one of the first cases available and with the cool flipper for charging, I was sold, But it wrecked the beauty of my phone. I've ordered the Slider from Incase like I had for my first generation. I wish it had been available before and my phone would still be perfect.

    Terrible Case: iPhone Screen Cracked

Written by BP from Los Angeles

    Nov 13, 2008

iPhone was great after a while, very sleek, fit in my pocket well, and minimized on bulk. These were great features but the case does not cover much of the case (the sides of the case are flush with the front) so when i dropped my case, face first, CRACKED glass. Does not protect at all and get the incase slider which protects the front as well as the back.

    Not that great

    Written by LM from Calgary

    Nov 4, 2008

If you wear denim the blue ink will transfer over to the rubber connection on the case. It almost seems like the plastic has a slight blue tinge to it as well.

Additionally the bottom piece that 'flicks' will leave some wear marks on the metal trim around the phone.

It fits well and protects my phone nicely, but there are better ones out there.

    not worth the money

    Written by AK from Calgary

    Oct 5, 2008

I got my iPhone 3G on launch day and ordered this case shortly after. I was drawn to it particularly because I was looking for a slick case that didn't hide the beautiful white phone I had just purchased.

My initial reaction to this case when I opened the box was that it felt very cheap for the price. I didn't have any issues paying $35 because I was expecting a quality case.

First of all I do like the fit of the case. Its snug without being too tight. The opening for the camera lens lines up perfectly. However the colour if off. They are different shades of white. While this might not be an issue for some people its all I see when I look at the case... further cheapening the purchase. The best way to describe it is like a blob of whiteout on a piece of paper.

Another issue I have is with the rubber hinge. It quickly turned grey from being in my purse or pocket.

I definitely would not recommend this case.

    Black is painted on!!

    Written by DM from Fairport

Loved the look, feel, grip, flat black...didn't realize the black is PAINTED ON over a clear case. I had this ONE DAY and it's rubbing off everywhere. It's going back to the Apple store for something else.

    DO NOT BUY!!!

    Written by KB from Linden

    Sep 8, 2008

I bought this case because I wanted to protect my phone from scratches. Sure tt looked great and I loved it until i had to take it off. There were scratches all over the chrome especially where the case closes and it also left a deep scratch on the back of my phone from the supposed "soft" cloth. Do not buy this case unless you want scratches on your phone!

    Not the best.

    Written by VE from Tucson

    Sep 6, 2008

At first this case was great. The white did match the white of the iPhone and the case itself fit perfectly. After a couple days of use and being in my pants pocket, the rubber part where the case 'flicks' turned blue from my jeans. The rubber part on top that covers the button to lock the screen also turned blue and after a couple weeks of use, it fell off. You could easily place it back on, but if it clearly shows poor manufacturing for the price they're asking for. I am now in hope of finding a better case.

I gave this product a three because of it's perfect fit and good protection towards the phone. Definitely not worth thirty dollars.

    Lost the button!

Written by MW from Santa Rosa

    Sep 6, 2008

Only days after getting this cover, the top button that covers the lock/ignore button at the top of the phone popped off. I was lucky to find it and I put it back on the case. Then it happened again and I wasn't so lucky. If I am going to pay over $30 for a cover, I would think it wouldn't fall apart!

    Great Case

    Written by DK from Dousman

    Sep 4, 2008

This is a great case! It is a very light weight case. It doesn't add much bulk, if any to the phone at all. The inside is very smooth, it does not scratch the phone at all, and keeps all dust and dirt out. It is not a lint magnet, it's a hard plastic material. It will slide in and out of your pocket easily. You can still plug into the wall charger, and on the back you can use the "flick" part to dock. You can use a screen protector with the case as well, it will not interfere with it. There is no movement of the phone at all, it sits tight in the case. You can get to all buttons very easily. Your camera hole lines up perfectly. I bought this case to keep from getting scratches. I don't know how well the case will withstand a drop. Great Case!!

    Just get a case already

    Written by DL from Medina

    Aug 30, 2008

I've been one of many case hunters ever since i purchased the new iphone 3G. First off, i can not tell you how much of a waste of time it is just standing in the apple store opening up cases, trying them on, then placing them back.
    PROS
Case fits TIGHT, just like a case should
Has anti shock silicon lining on the inside so it WILL NOT SCRATCH the back of the iphone
HARD CASE = will not stick to everything like your pocket when you try to pull out your phone like silicon

    CONS
A little too tight, but honestly don't take out you phone to clean it every blessed day, its wrapped in a shield of plastic... it can only get so dirty and so clean... And if you do so, it probably will scratch the chrome a bit

    CONCLUSION
Get a case to protect you phone from damage AKA DROPPING DAMAGE, not a little scratch, baby.

    Nice case

    Written by BB from Placerville

    Aug 29, 2008

I was at first hesitant to buy it because all the reviewers claimed it was a different white than the phone, but it isn't. The hinge and sleep/wake button are made out of a softer, stain-able plastic, so that might be what they are referring to, but the body matches the phone perfectly.

Tough to remove, I'd recommend not trying it unless you are at home sitting on something padded in case your phone slips. The easiest way to remove it is by popping it off rather than sliding the phone out.

Be sure to buy some touch screen film because most cases, including this one, do not protect the screen at all.

Overall, an attractive and durable cover.
I tried dozens of covers at the Apple store (just ask, the usually have a box behind the counter full of cases to test out) and found that this one most closely resembled the iPhone design.

    So far so good!

    Written by JJ from Chicago

    Aug 28, 2008

    Pros:
    • Snug Fit
    • Great build quality
    • Keeps a "stock" look to the phone
    • Slim
    • Dockable (flip open bottom)
    • Great feel

    Cons:
    • Price (could see it being $10 less)
    • Dust build up (but not bad compared to others)

    Overall:
This case has by far the best fit that I have seen, which makes me feel very comfortable with my phone. Every button and switch fits perfectly into the openings. The hole for the camera lines up so perfect it doesn't even look like it's a case. The flip open bottom for docking is a nice touch, but can be a little difficult to easily pop open and closed. The rubber the holds the flip cap to the cover will over time get dirty with pocket goodies but in my experience it takes quite awhile and still looks fine if you clean it every now and then.

    Thin, slick, perfect fit

    Written by KR from Montreal

    Aug 24, 2008

Was looking for something slick, thin, not in silicone (cause of possible lint collect) and almost invisible, but still a good protection for my white iPhone. This fits perfectly, it's amazing. You almost don't notice it's there! Flip for dock is such a great idea, never need to take it off. I know the white aint the exact same but don't let it make you pass by this case. It covers most of it, nobody notices, not even me. After shopping for a while to make sure I got the right one, this is it! I love it and wanted to share a positive opinion cause it's worth it.
