    way over priced

I tried these in the apple store when i went to get new headphones. I thought they would be something special having a price of $350, thats almost more than my ipod. I tried these and the bose headphones. The bose headphones were a lot cheaper and head better sound. The beats headphones had very poor sound on music that had little or no bass.

What industrial world has been missing!

I love these headphones! All sound is cancelled out, they fit comfortably, and the sound is VERY clear. Songs I didn't even know had so much base comes out in these headphones. Honestly, I feel that these are better than Bose headphones. I wonder if Monster makes speakers for the car. Wow, they really are amazing. However, if you're close to a phone that has a sim card (AT&T, T-Mobile) you can hear that buzzing sound like you do with most speakers. That can be changed but its nothing major!

If your an musician like I am you'll love recording listening to these headphones, you hear more on these than you do with any other headphones in the booth.

    well, it is not that...

I tested it half hour at apple store another day. the sound is nice. but it only seems to work with loud music like hiphop, electronica, rock. classic, other music which needs human voice mostly is not really. unfortunately pumping the bass is only working for hiphop that it is coincident, made by Dr. Dre. rock is not much pump with that much price tag. headphone design is cool though. I could say it is little over price, exaggerated sound detail by public. so I can only give it three stars.

Don't buy these, you can have much better sound for less

I tested these at the Apple store and can safely say that they are not worth your money. There is a constant hiss, which is slightly audible even during music playback (which makes it very hard to listen at low volumes). There was too much bass and the mids were empty, leaving vocals sounding very unlifelike. These seem to go with the same method of using accentuated highs and lows to impress people. Bose does this too, and both Bose and these headphones are bad when you know your audio. The untrained ear will spend so much time wowing at the deep bass and the "clarity" (which is just the accentuated treble, it's not true clarity) that that person won't notice the faults. And if you're thinking that I'm some rich guy who tried these and freaked out, you're wrong. I own a pair of $100 V-Modas that beat these (which I'd recommend, by the way), I'm just trying to help people not blow so much money on these bad headphones.

These headphones have a clean sound and keep out practically all background noise. They are expensive, but if you are willing to shell out the $350, they are totally worth it. They are very comfortable, and the fact that they fold and come with a case makes them an even better deal!

These headphones are awesome i recently bought a pair of ultimate ears and returned them because the sounded plain after which i decided to step outside of my comfort zone with ear buds and buy the pair of over the ear beats by dre headphones, and i could not be happier they feel sooo comfortable. Their sound is amazing there is not to much bass nor to little, the bass doesn't turn to a mushy "Pumf" as with cheaper headphones but holds on to the strong thud as car subs. The mids and highs are great and they to are fully there and not drowned out by bass. I would recommend this product to anyone who can afford it and who takes care of stuff being that these aren't the most durable headphones for $350

The Best; Probably the Most Expensive

I Broke My QC2s (not the electronics, but the plastic part). I didn't find the QC3s comfortable at at all, and I tested QC2s with these. The bass doesn't compare; the Beats treble were comparable in treble as well as noise cancelation ( though the Beats have a cool button that mutes the music and noise cancellation in case somebody tries to talk to you. There are some Bose products that I will swear for, but these are definitely better. The iPhone attachment is also much better.

This product, Beats by dr. Dre Headphones is the best headphone you can get at the moment. To everyone who says that they hear weird noizes in the background, you have downloaded a song illegally from the internet, thats why there is no good sound.

If you are a costumer, and want to buy this product, i would buy it if I were you. when you listen to theese, its like angels making music. Every genre works perfectly from your musicplayer, through the headphones and into toy ears.

Amazing headphones, worth the money, Try them before judging them!

    Written by SD from Norwalk

    Nov 4, 2008

I have had these headphones for about 4 weeks now and i think they are great. I have already read so many reviews that said that bose is better, and that these headphones have terrible sound with for example movies. Understand though these were made for an amazing music experience, not for a video experience. Also you must keep in mind that they are studio headphones so they will be loud on the outside. But the sound these produce is great, and the bass gives u goosebumps once you turn them up, really, i have owned and tried so many headphones, but these are totally worth it when you can turn the music up, and have the headphones almost vibrating on your head because of the bass, and the sound is still amazingly clear. Just about no headphones compare to these, GOOD JOB Dr. Dre and Monster, amazing headphones!!!!!

    its all about sound quality

    Written by H?

    Nov 2, 2008

a lot of people don't understand that this headphones are about high definition and quality.when first i got this headphones i tried playing one of dre songs which i had in my iphone.the sound was bad,but i was not satisfied so i tried playing them from my dr dre original 2001 cd.man i tell u sound was nothing like what i heard before.the reason first i had the problem cause the song which is in iphone was downloaded from internet and the quality of recording was not good.so people stop saying the headphones are good, not worth the money or what ever...,do ur homework before u want say or write something alright..my advise check ur music file(mp3. wma. wave.) are they correctly recorded or just buy an original cd or download it from itunes.

    Custom Dre Remixes included...

These headphones cut in and out, and have a strange humming and clicking, its like Dre did this to remix each song on the fly... I've had 5 pairs and handled even more.

I expected better from a MONSTER product...

Beware of the death buzz that starts after a week!

These headphones are great quality, the sound is exceptional, personally I think they are better than Bose, but you can be the judge of that. I tried them on at my local apple store I could not hear anything around me except the music of corse. They sounded way better than the Bose that I already own. I considered to buy them until I saw the price and said do I really need them. They are great quality headphone if you are willing to spend some more money for them. The price keeps it from getting a 5/5 from me.

For serious audiophiles who appreciate high quality sound!!!!!!!

Written by CM from Las Vegas

    Oct 22, 2008

Ok, first off I must say that Dr. Dre has been doing music for over 20 years. He knows what sound quality is all about. When I went to my neighborhood Apple store I tried on a pair of bose "on Ear" headphones. i admit, the sound was great. good midrange with impressively deep rich bass. Right across were the Monster Beats. I tried these on and noticed that the bass was the exact same but the mids & highs were "very" detailed. you could hear actual spaciousness in the music, which lacked on the bose. i then tried the qc2 from bose & they also didn't have the depth or spaciousness that the beats had. No wonder it took Dre & monster 2 years to make these headphones. if your an audiophile I highly recommend these. if your a person who doesn't care then don't even try to listen to these headphones.

Better Range than my Bose QC3 Headphones

Written by SC from Winter Park

    Oct 21, 2008

I just ordered a pair for myself. I tried them and I like them better than the set of Bose QC3s that I have. For those of you giving reviews it would be nice if you would actually compare the Beats to other products. I would like to test some specific headsets prior to the arrival of mine. So I can return them if your right. Other wise an overstated opinion based on price does not help the review readers. Please give something substantive to back it up and compare to. The Beats I tried had a greater dynamic range and sounded flatter than my Bose QC3s. Only one reviewer has actually given names of manufacturers that produce what they feel are better quality headsets. I encourage you to write better actual comparisons. In general I agree don't buy musician endorsed equipment but I tried them first and they seemed to outperform my Bose headset by a slim margin but it was noticeable all the same. I would say if you are listening to classical Music your experience with the Bose QC3s and the Beats will not be much different if at all. So if you own QC3s and listen to acoustic or classical only then the switch would not be worth it for you.
