    Monster Beats by Dre

Written by CR from South Elgin

These are the most incredible headphones I've ever owned. The sound quality is beyond words. I imagine this is what it must sound like when inside a sound studio. Much love for Dr Dre for making every sound and track played a head banger. Incredible!

i am in love with these headphones! i use them for numerous reasons and they surpass my expectations everytime!!!

i am not only a DJ but a huge fan of music, and no other headphone has been able to keep up with me except the beats by Dre. they are the most comfortable, reliable, and best in their class i can be in a construction site and still completely cancel out all the noise around me and make my music! a must have!!

Almost perfect, highly recommended for avid music lovers

    Written by JP from Oakville

Although a tad pricey these are phenomenal headphones. they wont seem that great for people who dont care to much about listening to broad ranges of music but i listen to music almost all day long and DJ as well so the price is justifiable. they are very balanced with lows, mids, and highs and the sound isolation works perfectly. My dad has the Bose QC3's and i find these a tad better but the sound leakage out of the beats are absolutely terrible. not an issue for me but if your on a quite train, bus, etc. you will distract others. all in all...HIGHLY recommended!!!

    Pros:
    Impressive sound balance
    awesome sound isolation
    sick styling.

    Cons:
    Terrible sound leakage.

    Pros:

    Spectacular Bass
    Crisp Sound
    Great Sound Canceling
    Ultra Sexy Style

    Cons:

    Pricey

These headphones are absolutely incredible! The bass is awesome, crisp sound, and I hear parts of songs I never heard before! I walk around town with these on and everyone looks at me with an envious look. My friends love them and I almost died waiting for the UPS guy to come with them! Sure they were $300, but it was well worth it! I would recommend these to EVERYONE! Amazing!

    One Problem.

Greatest headphones on the planet, but there is a problem. The cord rips where it meets the thing to go into the iPod/headphones. Otherwise great in every area. But does anyone know where to buy an extra cord?

    Descent sound, overpriced, bad quality

    Written by JM

At first, I really did love these. After a few days with them, I began to reconsider their of $300. I kept them for a while because I did still like them. One day, I folded them and put them in my pocket, and still held them making sure they wouldn't be jostled. I took them out and put them back on, and heard a crack. Ignoring it, a few days later, I noticed a crack in the headband. That SAME spot broke on mine, my best friend's, AND the demo pair at another store. I've tried other headphone about 1/4 the cost that have bass and clarity equal to these.

Upon hearing about these I was quite skeptical. After listening @ BestBuy the quality is extremely good. They are best for Hip Hop/Rap/Alternative/ Rock but overall all music sounds much better than the comparable Bose model. Well worth the money!

    wow!

These are the first headphones I have been impressed by. I am sort of an audiophile and it takes a lot to impress me. Audiophile headphones Grado & Sennheiser are great but, unless you have an external amp for your portable player they don't sound very good. With the beats the sound is powerful and clear. The sound is not as controlled as Grado & Sennheiser headphones but if you like listening to R&B, Hip hop, Rap, and Electronic you will enjoy these headphones. The beats are expensive but if you plan on using them with a portable device they are well worth the money.

    Best headphones ever!!

    Written by JG

    Jul 28, 2009

These are the best headphones I have ever owned.

And to all those other reviewers that dislike these headphones:

1: if you find that the headphones are leaking sound, YOU HAVE THEM TOO LOUD!

2: if the wire keeps breaking, it is because you are pulling on the cord, not the jack.

3: if the sound is not very good, it is beacause you are using a track dowloaded from the Internet, if you get a good copy from the iTunes store, the sound will be great, these headphones are designed to give great sound with a good digital copy of the music.

4: any other problems are caused by improper care by the user, READ THE MANUAL and your headphones will last a long time and give you great sound.

Your headphones are only as good as you treat them.

Amazing headphones. Other reviewers don't know what they are talking about

    Written by KF from Torrance

These headphones have the quality of $1000 headphones. They were mass produced to be affordable for the average income person. I love them. Such pure sound with a reasonably loud base. Very high quality and very portable. Will adjust to any size head. Folds for portability. And comes with two different cords with a cleaning cloth. Stop buying 60 dollar headphones. These will last years and give you the sound quality you deserve. This is a money saver. And if you do a lot of traveling. The ports in high quality planes like luthansa only fit the airplane headphones. In the box. You will find am adapter. Their is nothing not to love!

    Mmm.. Mmm... Good.

I never thought i would spend this much money on headphones. I tried them out at my local Fry's before buying them. I think you can test them out at the Mac stores now. So yeah, try before you buy.

As for me, i tried, and yup, i bought. At first the thought of batteries put me off a bit, but after listening to them time and time again, I didn't care. They sound so good. I can't believe how much clarity comes out of these headphones. The only other headphones i had used before were the sony MDR-V700's. There is no comparison between the two.

My recommendation is if you're looking at picking up a good set of headphones, try before you buy. They're that good.

    High hopes but much disappointment

    Written by ML from Flint

    Jul 21, 2009

I was extremely disappointed with this purchase, they look amazing, the sound is pretty good BUT...

The build quality of these headphones is very sub standard. A pair of headphones with this price tag shouldn't feel like a pair of 50 dollar headphones. The noise cancelling was average at best, but did a great job at playing music with a lot of low frequecy notes.

Maybe others will tolerate the sub standard build quality, but for me I won't. I really wished I didn't have to write this review, the cans look amazing. but ear cushions falling off at will were very disappointing.

I was using these in an Apple store in a mall and after listening to a couple songs they didnt feel too comfortable and the sound quality wasn't so great. I prefer the Bose On-Ear Headphones much better and have had them for about a year and they're still amazing. They fit great and sound better then any headphones I've ever listened to. Bose are the best.

Beats are a very high end headphone. Are they worth the money? Personally i believe there are better headphones on the market for half the price. Bottom line-- If you are willing to pay the money, you will not be unimpressed. For an everyday listener, these headphones produce a very high quality sound. They are also extremely comfortable. Do some research before you drop hundreds on a pair of headphones.

    Next To Nothing!

    Written by RG from Deira

    Jul 12, 2009

I’ll make this simple as much as I can and make it fair as much as possible. I am a music addict, maybe an audiophile, I listen to any kind of music and can’t go a day without it.

I thought I already had the best when I bought the Bose Headphones. I was wrong. Truly, Bose raised the bar when they introduced their QC2’s and QC3’s. Bose gave us an experienced and technology that we haven’t seen and experienced before. It’s like having a superb product which will not be beaten for the next years or so. That’s why I bought them, there’s nothing you can ask for that time. To those who have QC2’s and QC3’s like me, they know what I mean on how great they are. And please don’t get me wrong, I still love them.

But of course, technology and eagerness never stops. Now we have Beats by Dr. Dre Headphones from Monster Cable Products, Inc. A different product which for me and many others believed surpasses the experienced Bose gave us. You can’t really tell how this Headphone performs until you try and listen to them. Like what they advertised, you can really hear the smallest detail of sound you can imagine. Many good things were said and negative too. But believe me, they are way good than what you think.

The clearness of sounds they produce is just more than realistic. I won’t speak about how well the bass, the lows and highs, I won’t speak about the quality, the noise cancelling, and accessories included, or how fashionable they are, or about the battery issue anymore. We won’t finish if I will. Like what I said, they are way good than what you think.

I just want you to know that they are remarkable and a very good investment when it comes to headphones. Like Bose, one day, other company will develop a product that is better than the Beats. It’s just a matter of time.

So to wrap up, they are by far the best. If you love music, you have to have them. If you bought them, you’ll be glad you did. Me, I’m enjoying them each and every use.

    Phenomenal Headphones!

    Written by BR from Warren

    Jul 10, 2009

These headphones are no doubt top of the line:
    -Sleek design
    -Enriched and crisp vocals
    -Booming bass
    -Covers all genres

People have been complaining about how they take batteries, but if you have the money to buy the headphones themselves then loosen the purse strings and buy a pack a batteries at BJ's. If you're a music junky then these are for you the sound quality will amaze you.

    Beats review

    Written by SC from Ringwood

    Jul 10, 2009

I think that these headphones are amazing, the sound quality is excellent allowing the user to hear nearly all the highs and lows of almost any music they choose to listen to. My only comment is that the headphones come supplied with two cable, not having an iphone i still use the cable with the mic as the red cable comes apart at the connectors very easily especially if you travel with the headphones. The cable with the mic however is excellent had no problems with this. Also allows you to use it with any phone with a normal headphone jack on most phones now adays. overall excellent quality just one cable could have been so much better as its frustrating.
