Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary
Fantastic Game - Worth every penny!

Playing on an iMac 2.4ghz, 4gb ram, 20 inch iMac. Graphics and story create a truly immersive experience. Loved the original series - but this game puts those to shame! Runs smooth, no hardware issues. All told, a great buy and a great game. You may find yourself using a walkthrough for certain sections, but it's nice to have a relatively complex story. Hopefully they will continue to build out the TR series on Mac.

Tombraider: Anniversary Edition for Macintosh Is A Triumph!
Written by MA from Valdosta

Having played the original Tombraider, I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about a revamped version of a game I played around the age of twenty-seven. Just blocks then folks. Garbage! Couldn't afford the video card, which was about $300.00 at the time. 3DFX with 32 megs. I'm now thirty-seven, and I ordered the game anyway, because I never got to play the original in today's graphics. I figured I'd jump right into the game and beat the thing in one day. I mean, the original wasn't so hard. WRONG! All I can say is that this game is how every other Tombraider should be made, and blows its predecessor away totally and completely! The graphics are impeccable. Water drips off Lara when she gets out of the water! I was stunned! She got me hot! The special "adrenaline dodge" move is cool once you master it! More than all this though, the game challenged me more than any game I've ever played. I've been playing games over 20+ years. I'm not joking. One of the battles in this game was the most challenging thing I've ever done in computer gaming. If you had been there when the evil foe fell, you would have heard me screaming: "Yeahhh! Yeahhh!!! take that you slimy..." Well, you get the idea. Shaking my fists at the dead beasts? I have never acted like that in a computer game. No joke. I'm usually silent during a game. Not this time. This game really gets you into it. It's amazing! It was exciting and much improved over the original Tombraider. I played the game on a Macbook Pro and it ran flawlessly at 1680x1050 resolution and anti-aliasing turned off. This review does not do this game justice. Just know that the game was terribly fun, exciting and everything you want in this particular genre. My only advice: hook a Logitech Dual Action joystick from the Apple store up to your Macbook Pro and pull off that illusive "adrenaline dodge maneuver" with less difficult! Also, don't use the keyboard, because you will NEVER accomplish "adrenaline dodge" without the Logtitech Dual Action joystick hooked to your Macbook Pro! You will hate the game if you play it on a keyboard! The game happens to detect The Logitech Dual Action joystick when hooked up in TombRaider, and your controls for "adrenaline dodge" and other maneuvers are now pre-configured. Yayyyy! I would not play this game without my joystick! I bought the joystick with the game not even knowing the game uses that exact joystick! Wasn't I happy when I got home? The joystick was ideal for Tombraider: Anniversary! If you have that joystick and this game on your Macbook Pro or other Mac, you can't go wrong! This game makes its predecessor look like a total loser. I hope they make the others in the series just like this one. Now, I can honestly say, "I'm a MacRaider, and I conquered the impossible!" The Mac version runs seamlessly! In conclusion, MacRaiders will not be disappointed!

Mac Mini... WOW
Written by GS from New Kensington

Ok, so for those of you out there that have a Mac Mini below the min specs, don't worry. I play this game at 1280X800 with all the effects on except for anti-aliasing. I have a 1.66 Core Duo with 2G Ram and the GMA 950 video card. The game looks beautiful and runs smooth. If you don't believe me, download the demo from Feral Interactive and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

This was such a fun game to play and so beautiful. I highly recommend it and hope that there will be more titles like this for the Mac.
