    Love MacJournal!

I have been using MacJournal for years and it is the best of the several journal programs I've tried, both Mac and PC. I've seen reviews here about problems syncing in .Mac. I can honestly tell you I've had no problem with this and easily use my MacJournal on both my iMac desktop and my MacBook Pro when traveling. The price is reasonable too. I highly recommend this journal program.

I purchased this specifically for a way to keep my multiple blogs organized. I've since switched to a blogging platform that MacJournal doesn't support but I still use this on a daily basis to keep my notes in order for various books I'm currently working on. My wife also owns this and uses it daily for everything from blogging to notes for work.

A must buy for the organized person!

    Extraordinarily Well Done & Useful

It's good super-organizer I was looking for. List of 'drawers'/journals on one side, list of the files the highlighted journal on the other side, tabs for document in main window - everything can be dragged and dropped, organized. Instead of having 100 separate pages you have one file for a project and all pages can be organized, tagged, labeled, linked, etc.

Also can actually post to mainstream blogs (Google), export as PDF or HTML. Cleans up text. I also got Notebook, similar; but I like both. MacJournal day by day desktop. Notebook big file cabinet.

I've used this product for more than a year and have found it to be a great tool for writing. All of the upgrades have been solid improvements for me. I really enjoy the full screen view and I can easily organize most anything by creating side folders for my work. Bottom line is that I easily get my writing done.

Works very well for creating blog text in html

After trying a few apps touted as helping to make blogging and light html easy, I stumbled upon MacJournal.

Admittedly, I don't use it for anything but light writing html - however, for that purpose I have found it to be very easy to use. My two key requirements were to be able to apply html formatting to blog entries quickly and efficiently (links, lists, etc) and to be able to copy to the clipboard as html so I can paste into the web entry form of the blogs I do - MacJournal works great for that.

Also, the sidebar/folder view works very well for organizing categories (journals) and the individual entries under them. I have another for all the stuff I use as scratchpad items (signatures, links, footers and the like) which helps make me more efficient.

I think it's very fair to give it five stars for that - and since it's not really that expensive, the rest of the features are icing on the cake should I end up using them.

Do NOT Use with .mac syncing!

This product is "ok" when it actually works. I've had many a frustrating time with formatting entries. To the point where I've wound up having to use TextEdit and then copy into MacJournal. As a matter of fact, this program is little more than just a glorified "file cabinet" for "rich text" documents.

But most importantly, do NOT use this product with .mac syncing. You WILL lose data. After some research into this issue, I've found that many other users have had trouble with .mac syncing. To be fair, I can't say with 100% certainty if this is the fault of MacJournal or maybe even .mac/Apple. But regardless, I am VERY disappointed with this purchase!
