Had difficulty getting things to work with default settings. Setup beyond that will take hours. I finally uninstalled mine

Great Firewall...

It does what it's supposed to without interfering with the things I don't want it to. I was using OS X's built in firewall however there were times when one of the computers on the network wouldn't be able to connect and/or computers would disappear from iChat/Bonjour until having to restart. I decided to give NetBarrier a try and all the problems went away with a bit of setup which wasn't hard at all.

I have been using Netbarrier for three years now. I travel to other countries with my laptop and visit all types of websites. I have been ping attacked once, according to netbarrier, and it was stopped and the IP blocked. I think the program is neat as you can trace IP addresses to physical locations. The annoying part is that I can't get it to auto accept my printer connection (I need to click accept) when the security settings are turned up. I give it a thumbs up, but I could just be lucky.
