Great sound poor construction
Written by RR from MERCED

I think this is the best earphones on the market as far as sound and comfort go. My complaint is the vinyl chord. Although I'm sure it's cheaper to make after a while the chords start to twist and become very uncomfortable. In my past experience I have found that the fabric chords are much my comfortable and do not twist. Also if they provided a clothing clip below the mic the left ear chord would be less likely to pull away from the mic button when the chord snags on something which it frequently does. Try looking at Audio Technica ATH-Em7. Fit isn't that great around the ear but very nice sound with fabric chord.

Perfect Sound, Painful to wear with glasses.
Written by WP from San Francisco
Feb 19, 2009
Let me say this first: This pair of earphone is by far the best one that I have ever owned when it comes to sound quality. Just listening to the sound that this earphone produces itself is a joy that it doesn't matter what kind of music I'm playing.
However, for me, it is really painful to wear them. Especially because I wear glasses and the bracket of these earphones keep interfering with my glasses causing a lot of pain around and in my ear.
I wish that they'd come up with a version of these earphones that people like me who wears prescription glasses can wear.8 of 14 people found this useful

Awkward is the word
Written by BB from Asheville

Let me begin by saying that I can't vouch for the so-called "quality," either in material terms or in terms of sound, of Bang & Olufsen headphones. This review is meant for the average joe, and it won't mention much about music fidelity or masterful engineering.
I bought these headphones mostly for convenience. Earbuds don't tend to work for me--they fall out all the time, and I've always liked the over-ear hanging headphones for the convenience factor. A few problems, though. These are a little awkward to adjust while walking around--not as simple to just shove in my ear as an earbud. And once adjusted, if adjusted improperly, they can pinch on the ear and hurt. Even at their best, I sometimes feel a little discomfort with them on. In other words, they aren't very organic in their fit, and they force a shape on your ears that your ears don't want to take.
I also don't like the rubber cord, which flies up and springs into your face as you walk, and which looks pretty silly. The fabric cord on my old V-Modas hung more naturally. On this same point, it's very difficult to position the rubber cord with the cord clip. The higher you position the cord with the clip, the more the rubber cord bends out and looks even more ridiculous. Makes you look wired like a cyborg.
It's also really important to me to have an easily usable case so that I can put my headphones away on the fly. This case is apparently leather, which is nice, but the headphone cord has to be stuffed into it, clip and microphone and all, and there isn't much space left after the earbuds themselves go in. This worries me--I don't want pressure to push on the different pieces and hurt my expensive headphones. I also don't want to spend half a minute meticulously stuffing pieces of the cord into this little pouch--my V-Modas could be folded over and slipped into their pouch in about ten seconds tops. Summary: the storage pouch is not intuitive.
These also have a weirdly industrial look about them. Sure, you can tell that by looking at the picture, but you really have to see them on you. They make you look like somebody from the future--if that's your thing, go for it, but if you don't like to be a pretentious weirdo, then you might consider something with a more minimalistic look.
I might actually go back to the V-Modas. They were simpler to adjust, I think more stylish, and more conveniently stored.12 of 19 people found this useful

Not Worth the Price
Written by GG from New York

Ok, so i have been interested in these headphones for a while. I finally, got them yesterday and i have to say that they arent worth the price. Apple headphones sounds better...really. These headphones are probably the best designed earbud type phones i seen, they are SUPER comfortable and seem very stable. The only problem is the sound quality isnt there. Also, in order to get even decent sound out of these things, you have to crank up the volume to about 85-90 percent...not great for battery life. Keep looking.

Best option (but not great)
Written by HT from CHICAGO
Jul 13, 2008
I can't wear earbuds (wherever they are from--UE's supposedly fit anyone, none of the options work for me) so this is the only iPhone integrated set I've found that works. They look great, sound pretty good, but aren't very comfortable. They are hard to position correctly, and sometimes will move out of place. However, the iPhone integration works great and they sound good.

Well they are good for what you are paying for them but in terms of quality in sound they cannot compare to my Shure SE530's with the dedicated tweeter and 2 woofers but for the price they are pretty reasonable

Very Nice Earset But----
Written by TB from Soldotna
May 26, 2008
I bought a set of these a year or two ago for my wife to use with her iPod. They work very well, are comfortable and stay in place. We both liked them so well that I figured I couldn't go wrong with these for my iPhone.
Why they used a hockey puck (slight exaggeration) for a microphone I don't understand. I saw in the picture that it was substantial but didn't think that it would be a problem
I like the little shirt/wire clip but the microphone is large, flops around and pulls on the ear piece. The little mic. on the original apple headset was fine, I wish they would have done the same thing.

Good headset but...
Written by JC from Morton

Decent headphones...I suppose you pay a price premium for them to be a headset which is convenient but if you're looking for just high end headphones, for $200 there are better offerings out there from Shure, Ultimate Ears, and Westone. Bass is ok but not as rich as multi driver earphones, and the trebles are muted somewhat because of the open design. Probably the best "headset" out there right now, but definitely not the best set of headphones.
