    Very surprised!!!

Well first off the only reason that i bought this speaker system is because i accidently broke my last system (sonic impact i-fusion) which was at the time in my opinion the best. So anyways back to this product, i got my money refunded and i was looking for something that was all inclusive like rechargeable Batt, remote and case. I was in the store and someone accidently turned this Pure-Fi on and i was blown away by the sound. Now dont get me wrong, this unit is what i think to be the best sounding portable small speaker system. if you are going for real true stereo sound get the HI-FI speaker system. that is hands down the best you can buy but not portable and small. the Pure-Fi is the second best to its big brother. The sound is deep and rich. it also comes with a very intelligent remote that allows you to use all of you ipod, iphone functions.. a great buy !! very impressed.

I love this speaker because its small, rechargeable, has GREAT sound, and it even charges your ipod when its plugged into the wall (which also charges the speakers) the speakers come with a case that is great and its portable even without it plugged into the wall. The remote can practically do anything you want it to, and the stand on the speakers looks nice. Dont get the black one, u can see the fingerprints all over it, get the white. especially if you have a black ipod, it makes it look better. BUY THIS SPEAKER SYSTEM!

    Terrific Product

    Written by BG from Crestview

For the price, size, features, and sound- the Pure-Fi was the best choice for me. I spent a great deal of time (probably too much) looking for a small, relatively inexpensive way to play my iPod on the road, for when I don't want to listen to headphones.

The Pure-Fi has exceptionally clear, crisp sound without muddy bass or shrill highs. It easily fills a hotel room with sound, without overpowering the people staying next to you. To create a more spacious effect, the surround mode works well at short distances. Moving further from the Pure-Fi makes the sound too disperse and "hall-like" with surround mode on, in my opinion. Otherwise, features like the intuitive remote, chargeable internal battery and nice carrying case sealed the deal for me.

So, if you need a portable speaker system that sounds terrific- this is it!

    The decision was easy...

I use logitech speakers in my music studio as a back up to my professional monitors. The sound quality is always amazing. When I saw this ipod dock in the store, I picked it up without a second thought. For the size, the sound quality is near perfect. It completely replaced my old stereo system. It also works great with the iphone 3g. The mac guy said that the phone would have to be in airplane mode, but I have been dock in with the phone on and have had no problems. It also charges your ipod/iphone while you listen.

If you are looking for a good speaker system, this should be your first choice.

    Fantastic!

We'd been looking for a portable sound system to be able to play our first iPod on our sailboat.
Saw and heard the Logitech Pure-Fi at my son's house.
It sounded fantastic, the bass did not overpower the music and everything from classical to jazz to pop had a clear crisp sound.
And it was absolutely the right size to fit on the very slim shelf within the boat.
Bonus! Up to ten hours of play time at sea on the built in rechargeable battery, between charges.
More if I get a small inverter.

Has potential, but quality control is lacking

Written by JM from deep river

Sound is very nice for such a small unit; remote works very well from a long distance, and has easy to use controls that control my Touch menus remarkably well; nice long adaptor cord; very compact, well designed for storage.

HOWEVER...I have had this unit for only a couple of months and it has begun to shut itself off continually. I have followed the manufacturer's instructions of resetting, etc (as have many others on their support forums), which has NOT fixed this issue.

I would recommend other speakers until this issue is fixed -- keep your eye on the Logitech forums, or on some Mac user forums before wasting your money.

Quality, Size, Sound, and Price ...... Amazing!

    Written by TB from Seattle

I currently own a Bose SoundDock and wanted a space saving system to use in the bedroom as well as a portable device for the deck, and also have it be compatible with the iPhone 3G. It was also important that I was able to receive emails and phone calls while playing the music through the speakers all while charging the phone. This fits the bill perfectly. (didn't have to put the iPhone in airplane mode in order to avoid interference)

The sound is crystal clear and rivals the Bose for almost a third of the cost. I was happily surprised by the quality.

    Pros:
    Size (space saver)
    Sleek design
    Sound quality
    Works perfect with iPhone 3G
Adapters - functional with ipods and itouch
    Carrying case
    Portable
Great for travel / hotel use
    Price
    Cons:
If you want something for a large dance party or large outdoor event this won't give adequate "surround sound".

Incredible Sound, It's definitely one of the best.

I got this for christmas and wasn't so exited because i already had an iHome with awesome sound. Then my iHome blew out, so i turned to these. The moment i turned it on I was glad my iHome blew. These speakers are the best i ever used, the bass is incredible and the treble is crisp and vibrant. The best thing about it is that it is portable and lasts for ten hours on battery. The remote has insane functions and even works perfectly with my iPod Touch, it has all the functions of the iPod including go to menu and scroll. It even has the shuffle and repeat functions. One of its best settings is the StereoXL feature, it puts all new depth to the music you are listening to. Please do yourself a favor, if you are going to go look at other speakers to compare, don't waist any more of your time. This is the best speaker system for the iPod that is out there.

    Think twice before your purchase!

    Written by PT from Wilmington

I read the reviews on this and the black model and they were stellar. How disappointed I was when I received the product and turned it on for the 1st time. While the quality of the sound is good in a (very) small room it is poor for outside areas or larger rooms (you'll be fine if it's for your office cubby). The volume control is limited so if you want BIG sound, DON'T buy this product! This unit also shuts itself off frequently while in use or adjusting the volume.

If I could have give ZERO stars .... I would have!

    Supremely Awestruck!

Written by MG from Black Mountain

This speaker system is the most profoundly exquisite system you will ever find for this amazingly and surprisingly cheap price. I was hoping that I would not be disappointed once I turned it on and tried it, but as soon as I played my music, viola! Astonishment!
    Perfect sound quality,
Perfect volume control, can be loud enough to pop your ears or quiet enough to allow you to take a peaceful nap and listen to the whispering melodious music,
Perfect battery power, convenient! I was most glad about the fact that on top of all the other wondrous things this thing had, the BONUS was that it CHARGES your Ipod while it is plugged into the speakers. The speakers have 10 entire hours of life! I don't even have 10 hours worth of music so this is awesome!
    Perfect perfect P-E-R-F-E-C-T everything!
If you even find one flaw, just ONE flaw, and can tell me what it is and I find the same problem, I will literally get a heart attack and fall to the ground!
This is the ultimate sound system, DO NOT listen to the critics. I have a boyfriend who worked and made speakers, so I KNOW good speakers, and I'm surprised that not everyone has one of these! GREAT price! Goodness people, why don't you listen? Don't spend $500 on a speaker that has the same quality as these! Don't doubt them! BUY them!!!

    Weak Buttons

Written by AM from Los Altos Hills

    Mar 5, 2009

Had this unit for a little over a year and the + volume button broke off. It was the most used button on the unit. I appears that it is a design flaw. The actual button is a piece of plastic that also works as a hinge along one side for when the button is pushed down. The constant flexing of the plastic hinge will break over time with use. It is as they say "made to be broken"

I got these speakers in white and they are amazing. It is very portable and comes in a very expensive case. The sound quality is very very good. There is a button to control whether you want it on high quality or not but high quality is much better. The remote works fine and i would recommend this amazing product to anybody.

    Great product!!

    Written by GF

    Dec 25, 2008

This is absolutely fantastic!! It came with heaps of dock adaptors (although you don't really need them, I don't use the dock adaptors because I can keep my case on my ipod when it's plugged in, instead of having to take it off all the time.) The sound is great; very crisp and clear, although deeper bass would be nice.
The only thing I don't like, is the remote control that comes with it!! It is awful, flimsy and it can be confusing to use, because you get mixed up with the song controls and the ipod controls. Also, it has charging lights on the unit itself that don't turn off, and it lights up my whole bedroom. I have to unplug it everyday before going to bed.
But all in all, a great product. Very happy!!

    3 returns later

Three times the unit has died. It starts with turning off unexpectedly and then eventually stops being visible to the phone at all (tried 3 different iPhones.) Logitech was good about replacing the unit but then the same problem would occur again within a month or two. Sound was nice and features are good but the design has flaws.

I bought this unit to use with my new touch 64g. Wasn't sure if it was compatible but it absolutely is. Sits firmly on the dock connector. The sound is incredible for such a small unit.I like to hear bass and these speakers can handle it with very little distortion and that is only when I have it at full blast. Set the EQ on your ipod for best results. I move it from my bedroom to my home office and its great in each room. It's also great to have on my patio. The remote has been easy to use. I can control my playlists and what songs I want to hear. I love that it has a rechargeable battery and the travel case is really nice. I went to an electronics store and tried out several units and this by far was the best in its price range.

My best Christmas gift in years, but the magic is gone now.

Written by MM from Alta Loma

    Sep 29, 2009

Marvelous, practical, convenient, sleek, cool...WONDERFUL...until today.
How can a product of this caliper be approved and produced with such LOUSY components?
Yes the engineers took care of the most basic function, its GREAT SOUND performance; but they left aside, overlook, fail to research or worse NEGLECT its building parts, specifically, the (+), (-) and (on/off) buttons which are made of a very cheap thin plastic that from Dec/08 until Sep 09 did not withstand reasonable use (never abuse) within my household and finally broke today.
I love my speakers and I will always say that it was my best Christmas gift from last year, but as true as that, I have to state also that today I feel that I want my money back for such dull and mediocre manufacturing ( and yes I'm not ashamed to say that I have to buy my own gifts).
Great products like this build music lovers exitement and makes markets stronger, but with this poor quality parts is the inevitable outcome is the destruction of the name brand reputation and makes consumers erase companies from their shopping lists.

Does anybody knows why they didn't think of a better button control system or parts?
Does aybody knows how to get repairs or may be replacement?

    Thank you.

I bought this item last year and it has exceeded my expectations in every way! The sound quality is excellent and the price was so reasonable. I was finally able to get rid of my cumbersome old stereo system. I love that it charges my iPod as it plays. I recently used the battery powered option at a company beach party. It lasted the entire night and was loud enough for everyone to hear. I totally recommend these speakers.

This product does not work well with thr iphone 3G. After about only a month of using this product it stopped working, plus I had to cover the cost to ship it back. It seemed like a connection problem with were the iphone is inserted. I read all the good reviews about this was amazed by the comments. For the price you pay it should be more durable. The only good thing about this is the carry case.
