Been waiting for this to come out for my MB Pro. This game didn't disappoint when it 1st came out. Been playing this on PC since its release on PC. Just remember to update "punkbuster" on the game. Fast paced and good storyline as well. Warning!!! If your worried about the violence the the game is not for you. For FPS gamers on Mac with ATI or Nvidia graphics, this is the game you want. Hardcore mode is very intense in LAN event game play and online. Best FPS there is, so happy to see it come for OS X Leopard. PEACE OUT!!!

There is a lot of hype about this game. It does not live up to it. The multiplayer, agreed, is relatively good. The single player is a huge let down. The level design is poor, the story is short and not as good as it could be, the graphic are mediocre and the AI, both enemy and team-mate is the worst I have ever played with. I cannot express how much hatred I have for this game, and why do people say it's so brilliant?! There are far superior games available, even for Mac. Do yourself a favour and don't buy this game. Spend your money on something more deserving, like bog roll or something.

This has finally come out on mac. The multiplayer ROCKS. It is one of the best fps online ive seen, possible the best :). Ths single player is the same as the other versions of CoD4 but it is not that great. BUT it is still fun and the multiplayer is the best, BUY IT!

OMG! this game is totally awesome, i love it so much that if i don't play on it for more than 3 days i get withdrawal symptoms LOL but really ignore what that other guy says about its rubbish the story mode is excellent, but really what you pay for is the online experience this game really does deserve 100000 stars, no joke. but if you do have a PS3 or XBOX i'd get it on that as its cheaper and the graphics are better if you have a HD TV but if your graphics card is very good then it will look great on all mac screens especially a imac 24".
the best guns on the online are
G36
M1014
R700 and the M10A3
P90 or MP5
AND the RPD

I have this on PC, PS3, XBox 360 so of course had to have on Mac now can stop playing it on windows via bootcamp. :)

It's about time this came out, prolonging it to the mac isn't a surprise sense Jobbs doesn't support gaming as much as cr/-\ppy Windows users.
Graphics I give a 9 Gameplay 10. Very fun game.

I am so pleased it's here on mac.
If John Mictiernan was a games producer this would be his work.
It fells so good when you rescue a SGT when you throw back a grenade.

COD4 feels like real warfare!

Finally!! A little late to the game but no problem. I bought a MBP from apple and did not upgrade, just played as is, and on even the maxed out settings this game runs great. No glitches, a couple hiccups, but no real problems. The servers have ppl on them 24/7 so don't worry about not playing online. I highly recommend this for any gaming mac user.

I bought a brand new MBP like 3 months ago, and I am also a gamer... at first i thought there won't be much great games for Mac since it is not really developed for game purposes, and the review of the other games that are on the market is not tempting at all...bought CoD4 to give it a shot, so far so good. Except for a some sound compatibility issues while loading the game, but it does not really matter..but the graphics to meds, and it work out all fine and nice, but i do not recommend mighty mouse for the mouse choice...im thinking of getting the deathadder or just a normal logitech mouse...

I'm not shocked that the game runs perfect on my Mac Pro. But what had me impressed is how well it runs on the MacBook Pro and iMac 24" as well!

Now Mac users can finally experience one of the best games in the Call of Duty series, and this will hopefully open up the market to even more popular games developed for OS X seeing how popular COD4 is!

Multiplayer Issues but Single Player Great

I have been playing the PC version for a number of months and the graphics are superior on the Mac vs. the PC side running on boot camp. The multiplayer version is way behind on its compatibility with the PC and console players. The latest version for the Mac has fewer than 10% of the available servers vs. the PC side. Aspyr has promised to upgrade the Mac version to the latest PC version for server compatibility, but be aware that the multiplayer version of this game is still very limited in the number of players you can battle!

It awesome that mac is finally coming out with games like this but why do no stores even sell em? I even went to my local apple store and they didn't have COD 4. Awesome game but they need to start actually selling it somewhere.

The only games that I only used to play on my iMac were Halo and Halo Demo, but I was excited when I received this game yesterday. It truly is a change from the former games, but this game is just awesome. Every level is a challenge and the multiplayer is really, really fun. I recommend this game to anybody who anybody likes action games. This truly is a seller. Take it from me, you won't be disappointed.
