This has finally come out on mac. The multiplayer ROCKS. It is one of the best fps online ive seen, possible the best :). Ths single player is the same as the other versions of CoD4 but it is not that great. BUT it is still fun and the multiplayer is the best, BUY IT!

Put simply, Call Of Duty 4 is the best game on the Apple platform. An incredible FPS. Works flawlessly on my MacBook Pro. I travel for work so if the ping is decent in my hotel, I battle with the guys in my clan even on the road! I purchased in Nov. 08 and have been totally sucked in by the multi-player world, to the annoyance of my wife and kids. Wait? I have a wife and kids? XD

By the way after installing, don't forget the free 1.7 upgrade on the Aspyr website. Most multiplayer servers stopped running the 1.6 version and now run 1.7, its a very simple patch, so upgrade and you will have plenty of battling ahead!

OMG! this game is totally awesome, i love it so much that if i don't play on it for more than 3 days i get withdrawal symptoms LOL but really ignore what that other guy says about its rubbish the story mode is excellent, but really what you pay for is the online experience this game really does deserve 100000 stars, no joke. but if you do have a PS3 or XBOX i'd get it on that as its cheaper and the graphics are better if you have a HD TV but if your graphics card is very good then it will look great on all mac screens especially a imac 24".
the best guns on the online are
G36
M1014
R700 and the M10A3
P90 or MP5
AND the RPD

Lots of fun on new 13" MacBook Pro

I recently picked this up from my local Apple Store for my new 13" MacBook Pro. It is a great game and plays great on my new computer. I was surprised at how well the integrated 9400M graphics card is, the game plays very smoothly. Highly recommend!

I put this on my new 13 inch Macbook 2.4 ghz and it's been the easiest, most satisfying computer game installs yet. The game worked perfect right out of the box and runs gorgeous. Online has been great, and maybe it's just because I played a game on a computer in ages, but I'm happily amazed that I can play against PC nerds with my Mac copy. There are always tons of games to choose from.

The graphics are the best I've seen in a game yet, and It's running like a dream.

i am running it on the new aluminum macbook and it is simply amazing. right out of the box i was playing within 20 mins. runs super fast on the new macbook, smooth graphics and intense gameplay. A must have game for the mac.

Incredible!!
Gargantuan improvements over Call for Duty 2 (also works well on Macs).

Stunning graphics, powerful sound track, adjustable skill levels and plenty of random tangents to ever mission. The Arcade mode is very much appreciated, too.

Best of all, this games does not require any kind of special controls - just your favorite keyboard and mouse (both of mine are wireless, too).

I enjoy replaying missions, adjusting the skill level, and trying different tactics. The sniper rifle is still my favorite, but the door gun on the helicopter was a lot of fun, too.

This game can give you nightmares and I'm often numb when I push away from the computer, but it reminds me of why I love the computer so much. I've played game boxes, too, but it's not the same or as exciting.

It's good stuff.

One of the best games ive played. Plays smoothly on my macbook 2.0ghz. Ok, it did crash twice on multiplayer, but thats very little. Both singleplayer & multiplayer are fun. Recommending it to everyone!!!

the multilayer is amazing! not only you play against mac users but as well as PC users. the servers are compatible for both mac OS x and windows. download the patch 1.7 to be able to play lots of different servers

This game is awesome, If you are a gamer and love war games well this is the game for you. The storyline is good but kinda short. The multiplayer is awesome when you play online. The only con is playing with the keyboard kinda hard to find the write button to hit but you do get used to it after playing it for a while. If you are looking for a great game on your mac this game is the game you should get!!

Best game I've played since owning my macbook pro 13 inch laptop. The graphics look amazing, no crashing or funny stuff while playing in single mode or multiplayer. Before switching to a mac I was never into playing pc games but now playing on a mac says a lot about how great this games is and being able to play on a relatively small laptop without having to carry around one of the bigger models. GREAT JOB!!!

Call of Duty 4 is a fantastic game! The Career mode of the game is very exciting and intense. The online play is outrageously enjoyable! Many different guns. You can create different clases. Level up, go through presteige. Wonderful game I definately recomend it!
