    Not Ready For Prime TIme

    Written by RB from Paris

For simple personal financing the user interface is excellent. For small business use, the report options are weak and limited. To enter a credit in an expense categories is difficult and in no way intuitive. After two months of use, I am looking for another option.

    WELL DONE!!

Finally, a product that is not so proprietary and arrogant and is compatible with QFX, OFX, and QFX formats. Works extremely easy and well with all of the features at my own bank's Online Banking solution including Bill Pay. A great product and highly recommended alternative to the giant players in the personal financial software products. WELL DONE, and thank you.

    iBank impressions

It is such a pity that Apple does not take a greater interest in helping someone fill this large but basic void in MAC software. I have concluded that you cannot absolutely trust any of the available software to correctly create and manage accounts nor add/subtract from account to account without supervision. Having said that, this product can do what Quicken can and is more visually appealing. I do think it is basically functional but at times I had to trick it into doing what I wanted on setup. I recommend you check and double check everything on setup. Also, I think importing data to do the setup is a huge mistake. Just start anew at the last reconcile date and keep the old data in a backup under the old program. After doing this, so far it is working fine. I should say I do not trust a lot of bank importing either so I avoid it too. Average overall with room to improve.

A good alternative to Quicken for Mac 2007

Written by JC from Fort Worth

This product integrates with I Cal and has a great user interface along with an app for I phone to keep in sync.

This is a great alternative to Quicken for Mac. Unfortunately, it uses the same auto download format that quicken uses and many banks downloadable files are not capatible for Mac, yet. The way around this is to down load the files to a folder and then import them into I Bank.

If you are going to use a Mac product this is the one to get. The best alternative is to use Quicken 2009 premium with Parallels. If you don't want to use windows products at all, then this is the product for you.

It took a little to get use to but was worth it.
I also have the iBank app on my iPhone (3G) and it too works flawless. Syncing via MobileMe.
Quicken is now out of my life.
    Thank You.. iBank.

    Buy from iBank not Apple

    Written by TL from Dunwoody

It is better than Quicken for Mac, but not nearly as good as Quicken for Windows. If you buy from Apple or anyone else and don't like it you're out $60. If you buy from iBank online you can try for 30 days and if you don't like it you can get a full refund. I wish I could get my $60 back.

I am struggling with the ibank set up. Can not get it to access my financial institute to download. Can not get the upgrade download from iBank.
I was a longtime quicken/PC user. The financial changeover has been very challenging and not yet resolved.

    Great Product - Very Pleased

In fact great products plural, because I have the iPhone app as well as iBank for my MacBook Pro. I have been a Quicken user for many a long year before switching to Apple. Tired of waiting for the UK version of Quicken for Mac, I bought iBank. I have had no regrets whatsoever. Does everything I want and does it well. The synching with the iPhone is smooth and quick. In my opinion, it looks good too. Support is excellent. Finally, I'd be surprised if it wasn't a work in progress. Yes, I'm well satisfied with my purchases.

    I-bank is awful

    Written by CJ from Lakeland

I was given a mac as a gift, I was so used to Quicken but tried I-bank since quicken won't work on my new OS. I-bank is awful, I hate it. It's not user friendly, nothing about it is easy.

Managing money was never so much fun!

    Written by AW from SALISBURY

I have tried a few personal accounting packages recently and although I'm really only starting to get to grips with iBank I already love it for a number of reasons; it's intuitive, has the best and most comprehensive manual I've seen, is extremely Apple-like, it links to iCal to give transaction reminders if necessary, AND, best of all, it even links to my iPhone via Mobile Me so I can check and add to my financial records on the move. Equally importantly, their customer services are not only extremely helpful and quick to respond but are also unusually proactive. Managing money was never so much fun!
