Poor Idle-to-Movement Responsiveness

I am returning this mouse primarily because of two problems:
1. The jumpy mouse pointer when moving the mouse after it being idle.
2. The scroll wheel scrolls too slow, even when it is set to the fastest setting.
I read about the jumpy mouse pointer problem, but thought that it might be something I could get used to (I really want a cordless mouse); I have played with it a bit and it's just too irritating.
I haven't seen anyone else report the scroll wheel problem (so it might be operator error), but I haven't been able to get a comfortable scroll speed by adjusting either the standard and Logitech mouse preferences.
Aside from those two problems, the only other thing is that the small size of this mouse requires me to hold it at an angle because of my large hand size; however, this is a minor complaint and would not have prevented me keeping the mouse if the other problems didn't exist.
On the positive side, this mouse is aesthetically pleasing (simple white and silver goes well with my keyboard), setup was a breeze, and the left-right action of the scroll wheel is nice.18 of 23 people found this useful

The mouse worked almost smoothly for around 7 months.
I regularly switch off the mouse when I shut down my computer. Last weekend I didn't and monday morning it wouldn't work. I replaced the batteries, I pressed all available buttons... it just does not work.10 of 19 people found this useful

Tracking is sloppy

I've mixed feelings for this mouse. It's small but comfortable, has no connection issues, is a decent weight with batteries inserted, and scrolls in all four directions as intended.
However, the cursor tracking is sloppy. Feels like it lags. Not overly precise. Kind of jittery. Tried using both the Logitech Control Center software and also an application called SteerMouse to make it behave better but no luck.
Due to its imprecise tracking, I do not recommend this mouse.18 of 22 people found this useful
