Awsome Product, Recommended For Average iPod User

    Written by VN from Etobicoke

    Dec 10, 2007

This a great product for those people that just want to have a scratch free iPod Touch and an anti-glare screen. Installation was easy, and simple, the instructions were simple and to the point. Protects both sides of the iPod Touch but doesn't fully cover the back side; doesn't cover the edges of the iPod Touch. Looks unnoticeable to naked eye but you know its on there becasue you can feel it. There is no lost in "touch" sensitivity it acually helped it to be more sensitive. The color of the display is not noticeably different from the glass of iPod Touch display. I brought the Anti-Glare version of the product so the material is "matte" if you want, get the glossy Crystal version by all means. I prefer the Anti-Glare version. The products adds extra luxury to the iPod Touch makes it feel even more expensive then it already is. Gives you the screen protection you need without the bulky look of Skin cases or Hard cases. Provides full access to all Keys and Dock Connector Ports. Also allows you to dock it without taking off anything.Hope this review helps!!

    Incredible!

Written by BS from coral springs

Regardless of which case you prefer, this is the absolute best screen protector out there. I honestly wish the iPhone/iPod Touch came with a screen like this built in.

Unlike other ones, which I've never been able to apply without a ton of stupid air bubbles making the screen look horrible, this one doesn't get any air bubbles somehow and the screen looks as great as it always has. It is also much easier to move my finger across it and do multi-tap gestures. It also doesn't reflect, as in the name, is glare-free.
The best part? No fingerprints! The screen stays intact, no fingerprints or smudges. I highly recommend this product and gladly pimp it out knowing it'll make somebody else's iProduct experience better.

    Looks and works great

    Written by SM from Hollywood

This is similar to the review I wrote for the "Crystal" version

When installing, you have to be mindful so that you don't have air bubbles, but it's really no big deal. Start at one end and smooth it down as you go along.

The screen looks great and is as responsive as it is without this film. Make me feel confident that my Touch is a little protected. I live on the beach, so this "Anti-Glare" version helps reduce the impact of bright sun. It also reduces finger smudges by about 99%. It is amazing how well it fits. Almost invisible.

    Highly recommended.

    Best Screen Protector!

    Written by RR from Weston

    Dec 13, 2007

These films are just excellent! They have a matte finish (the one for the front only) which keeps reflections away from the screen and they are actually resistant. They also fit very well, don't leave any sticky residues (as advertised) and can actually be reapplied. And the best thing? it's easy to install them real quick without leaving any bubbles (they are thick, so bubbles are not that easy to form). Buy this if your considering a screen protector for iPod touch or for the iPhone.

    Not for 2nd Gen touch

    Written by DK from Linden

    Sep 11, 2008

I had this for my 1st generation touch, and they are amazing, but I picked up one when I bought my 2nd gen iPod touch thinking the screens are the same so it would fit the same, but they are slightly different. When on the 2nd gen touch, there is about 2mm all the way around the screen protector that exposes the touch. So nothing terribly bad, but they should revise it for the 2nd gen. For the 1st gen touch, this is a great product. Thing I like most is the fact that it doesn't show the fingerprints. Overall, great for 1 generation touch!

    HELPFUL DIRECTIONS + REVIEW

    Written by BW from Orinda

    Jun 10, 2008

align the hole in the film with the home button. it will be easier to align it correctly this way. when putting it on, make sure one corner does not touch. if you have put it on correctly, put the corner down and hold it. when putting it on, get a credit card, gift card, id, etc. and slide it across, pushing it down directly after the film is being put on the iPod. if you mess up, gently peel off, and try again. there will be no bubbles if your screen is clean. clean thuroughly before applying. get a moist paper towel and get the screen slightly wet, and let it dry itself. then get a t-shirt and rub it to wipe off any dust.

REVIEW: this film makes it easier to slide your fingers across the screen, and leaves no smudges or fingerprints. i love this. alot. it's AWESOME. and you can barely tell it's there. the screen stays clear and there are no glares. some areas are more lit when in the sun, but are still very visible.
    thanksss for reading. :]

Trick to a Dust Free Application!

    Written by RP from Mentor

    Oct 9, 2008

Ok this itouch cover is awesome! I am very happy I made this purchase. After reading all of the reviews I see that many people are having trouble putting it on with out getting dust between the screen and the film.
    Heres the answer to that!

Go into your bathroom (I brought a chair and a bar stool, one to sit on the other for my itouch to rest on) and turn the shower on full blast hot water and let the room steam up. The moisture in the air will make the dust particles heavy and they will fall and not float around. Be sure not to make sudden movements. Use a lint free cloth (preferably one that you clean your glasses with) to clean your itouch and look at your itouch from each side making sure that you removed all the dust. Once the dust is removed slowly apply the film and walla! Dust free screen protector!

Trick: There will be enough moisture in the air that it will make the dust particles heavy but not enough to cause malfunction to your itouch. if its getting to humid you can always turn the fan on for a short while!

Good luck! It worked for me!

    Just Awesome

I jus got this today and, im pretty impressed. The back covering did get a few air bubbles but i wasnt too concerned about that because i also bought the "incase slider" to protect the back (another great product i would highly recomend). The best part of this product is definantly the anti glare front piece, not only is it "anti glare" but it feels alot better to touch, sliding becomes alot easier and it does not attract fingerprints or that oily residue. Highly reccomend this product.

    Seems Great - Application Important

    Written by JC from Halifax

    Feb 4, 2008

So far this product seems great, but the procedure to apply the film seems to be very important (See instructions below). I was able to apply the film with absolutely zero bubbles on the front. The back had some bubbles (with a different procedure) that I was able to remove. I installed in a humid setting (after a shower), but not sure if this helped or not. I suggest doing the back first (as a practice, since the front is more important)
    my Back Procedure (unsuccessful)
    - place starting edge in position, then remove all of backing strip and allow film to "fall" into place. This produced bubbles.

    my Front Procedure (successful way)
    - leave factory film on screen until immediately before installation so that screen is completely clean
    - starting at bottom (Home button), bare just enough film to center the hole
    - bending film backwards so that pressure is applied along the screen (the pressure is IMPORTANT! it prevents the bubbles), slowly "roll" the film into place maintaining pressure while just removing the backing strip only just as necessary (removing the backing strip to fast presents a greater chance of contamination)
-this produced absolutely no bubbles on my screen

    Amazing but one drawback

Written by CB from West Chester

    Jan 8, 2008

    Pros:
    -Easy to apply
    -easy to reapply
    -anti-glare
    -covers entire screen
    -makes screen more sensitive

    Cons:
-for some ridiculous reason the back cover only covers a small portion of the back?!?! which doesn't make sense because if you've owned an ipod in the past you know how scratched up that surface gets.

This was wicked easy to put on...i dont see how anyone had trouble applying it.I did mine first try no air bubbles,no dust. It really does keep most the finger prints off and when you do get some smudges wipe it on your shirt and its good as new. has yet to scratch.

Ignore all the rants about what a horrible screen protector this prodct is. It is AMAZING! It covers the whole screen and allows you to have a case. Even though I would prefer a price cut because I don't need the second one for the back (it comes with 2 one for back and one for front) , this screen protector is worth it.

itouch 2g Front Cover good, back cover not so much

    Written by JD from Columbia

    Sep 17, 2008

The front cover is great. I wiped the front of the itouch with the polish cloth that came with the itouch. Then applied the front cover. Big mistake. Three tiny pieces of lint were on the screen. No big deal. I took off the cover, washed it, and then reapplied. Perfect. The front cover is an A+.
The back cover is terrible. It does not have adequate coverage because the new slim and curved back will not allow for adequate friction for the static cling effect; therefore, the straight edges will simply not fit.
CONCLUSION: Buy if you want a nice front cover only.

    Really good

Written by LH from Short Hills

This product is really good, it helps protect your iPod from all those annoying fingerprints that show up. However, I have learned from multiple experiences (I keep screwing up from the same thing) that you absolutely CANNOT let it get on the table. Once dust gets on it, it's impossible to remove without completely ruining the screen protector. If it weren't for my stupid mistakes, this thing would be absolutely perfect.

    Good idea, EXTREMELY OVERPRICED.

    Written by TK from Waukesha

    May 28, 2008

These screen protectors are a great idea, and highly recommended to keep your Touch's screen free of damage, but $14.95 is FAR too expensive for a single screen protector and equivalent products can be found for a tiny fraction of that cost elsewhere. I would have given this one five stars if the price was at all reasonable, but it is obscenely overpriced and therefore gets two stars (as I reserve one star ratings for a product not worth having at all).

    my 15 bucks worth

Written by MS from Apple Valley

noticed reviews are either *very* good or bad? depends on how the protector is applied.

ideally, you’ll need a clean room from intel, and some scrubs/rubber gloves from your local er. if for some reason you don't have access to these, make sure you wash your hands and be careful – think about not wearing a shirt – or one with a high fuzz count. clean the surface - i used an lcd cleaner. hopefully you didn’t remove original front protector yet, making it easier.

you should put the back(shiny) one on first as practice (as another reviewer mentions). it's actually pretty easy–start at the notch; the only part you can line up. peel cover as you push protector down, smoothing bubbles as you go. careful not to touch the surface.

now the front - start with the circle, line it up, and push protector onto screen as before (again - in another review). for me it seemed to flow right on - minimal bubble chasing. my protector isn't an exact match to the screen, so there could be a tiny space on one side if you lined it up perfectly to the other. realigning with scotch works, just be careful- it's hard to line up *perfectly* and lint free - i just left it the way it was in the end, hardly noticeable.

the screen does look a little different; with solid whites you can see the faint lines of the antiglare stuff. does seem like there's better traction, though.

and yes, the back doesn’t cover the whole thing- ipods are rounded.

*skipping to the bottom? start here:

    -read reviews
    -take your time
    -yes, it is expensive
-if you’re worried hard cases will scratch your ipod, think about getting this – it’ll at least protect most of the back.
-it doesn't take forever - it took longer to write this review.

Written by ML from Notre Dame

If you are looking for a way to prevent scratches, smudges, and fingerprints - this has got to be the only way to go. It was easier to apply than I expected. I fixed the protector on the back first so I would have a feel for how it would respond, that way the front went on without difficulty. Use a credit card or something of similar size/firmness to smooth the protector onto the screen - this works great to prevent bubbles! Also, once this item was properly applied, it did it's job like magic. It looks beautiful and really fights off smudges of all kinds, fingerprints, too!!!

every drop I love it even more

    Written by JB from Oceanside

    Jul 17, 2008

Wow, I love this product. Today I had been swimming at the local pool when I got out and quickly put all of my stuff together. I put my Ipod inside my book to hold the page (first mistake). While walking on the gravel road the Ipod slipped out (secound mistake) and hit the gravel from at least a 4.5 foot drop. I quickly picked it up and continued on my walk. later, at home I looked at the Ipod and saw that the screen was completely dented with scrapes everywhere. I took off the film, and amazingly the screen looked like new. no scratches at all!!! This is an amazing product and I don't regret paying for it at all. I only wish I had bought it sooner to prevent the scratches on the back, and the one scratch on the screen. They should really build this into the Ipod, Its so great, worth every penny!!!!

    Great for first generation

    Written by DD from Brooklyn

    Sep 13, 2008

I have a first generation 8g and a second generation 32g and this film works great for my first gen ipod touch. On the second generation there is a tiny gap on the front and the back doesn't follow the new contour of the ipod. The back on the second gen ipod touch is more rounded and at least my film is pealing back all the time away from the contour.
