    Not very good...

    Written by JH from Lebanon

I didn't like it very well and was a waste of money. If you like the feel of your iPod when you touch it, you will not like this product. Although it did have anti-glare and protect from scratches, there are plenty of videos to prove the iPod Touch's screen will not scratch. Also it says it helps against finger prints. I have had many fingerprints with it! Also the protector for the back side of the iPod wasn't even static cling! It was sticky (but luckily got it off and had to throw it away). The front side did have static cling and I saved that And really, I don't care if there is a little scratch on my iPod, it was just the Apple guy recommended it. Maybe I'll try the Crystal Protector.

Not really compatible with 2nd gen iPod touch

    Written by KR from Richmond

    Sep 16, 2008

I recently bought the 2nd generation iPod touch. Since the store didn't yet have any cases, I decided to get these screen protectors. While they are moderately effective, they do not cover the entire screen. There is about a 1mm gap around the top of the iPod touch that is exposed. At first, I figured this would be ok, but because it does not cover the entire screen, the edges attract dirt, and bubbles get trapped under the edges. I've had to be rather diligent about cleaning the screen and using a soft card to press out the bubbles. If the product fit the entire screen, as it did for the first generation iPod touch, I'd recommend it. If you purchased an iPod touch after September 9th when they released the 2nd gen, I'd try a different product.

    Annoying

    Written by RM from Washington

I just bought it but I have to buy a new set. No place on earth that is sufficiently dust free & while placing the film, it seemed to pull in dust from the air. Now there is tons of dust stuck between the film & my ipod, significantly decreasing its look and visibility.

    Blurs the screen

    Written by CD from Charlotte

    Jul 15, 2008

I ordered this film for my ipod touch along with the magenta (pink) incase case. I cleaned my iPod as a previous user had suggested.. (wipe off very well with a slighty damp paper towel then wipe with a lint free towel.. The little cloth that comes with the iPod will work great for a final wipe.)

I had no problem applying the film.. Just line up the home button hole and then carefully smooth on.. That part wasn't a problem.. I finished that and put my case on and it looked great.. Then came the problem..

When I powered on my touch the film was immediately noticeable.. To me at least. Older people may not notice.. My mom said she couldn't tell a difference.. But it puts a filmy look on the screen which basically ruins the beautiful bright clear screen. For me it was too much of a detraction.

Then comes the second problem.. It says on the instructions that you can remove and reapply.. This doesn't work.. I tried to reapply it once I had taken it off tomake sure I didn't like it.. And it just didn't go on well.. So peoples Beware: this is a one shot deal... After and dust or big bubble gets under it it ruins it.

I chose to return it because I didn't like the way it made the screen look.. Plus the screen really doesn't need protection.. Just check out the youtubes showing durability tests .. The screens are incredibly durable and unscratchable.

So as a recap .. I'd say just save yourself the $$$

As for the incase case... Its absolutely fabulous :)

    Hope this helps

    Good idea, EXTREMELY OVERPRICED.

    Written by TK from Waukesha

These screen protectors are a great idea, and highly recommended to keep your Touch's screen free of damage, but $14.95 is FAR too expensive for a single screen protector and equivalent products can be found for a tiny fraction of that cost elsewhere. I would have given this one five stars if the price was at all reasonable, but it is obscenely overpriced and therefore gets two stars (as I reserve one star ratings for a product not worth having at all).

    air bubbles...

    Written by TR from Edmonton

    Mar 5, 2008

this protector came with the case that i first bought for my touch, and i followed the directions exactly. i cleaned the touch and made sure there was no dust on the screen or film. even after all the precautions used, there were still a few air bubbles. i took the screen off to get rid of said bubbles, and that was the end of it. All the dust in the room basically went right under the film and it ended up being pointless to keep. if someone could find a way to make sure there is no dust in the room, then this would be a great product.

This would have been great, BUT...

    Written by KB from Nutley

This probably qould have been a good product. When I applied it the first time, I got a ton of air bubbles, and it wan't allined perfectly with the iPod- so I took it off and tried again. This time there was even more air bubbles and it got all dirty and dusty. Also, it ruins the quality of the screen; images distorted and grainy, probably from the dust and oil. I don't know if the crystal is better- probably isn't. All I do know is that I'm into a lot of trouble with this this case. If you had a completely immaculate space and "magic fingers" to apply this product, and if you are able to do it once, perfectly, this would be great.

    Great at first....

This product is a great product if you are going to put your ipod inside another case. However as a stand alone protectant, this product leaves a lot to be desired. The films arent sticky enough to stay put. I have only had mine on my ipod touch for about 3 weeks and back is already curling and peeling on the edges.

    Impossible To Put On

Written by JW from Old Tappan

    Feb 9, 2008

This took so many tries to get properly on and it was dirty so i had to clean it. I still haven't been able to get all the air bubbles out after two days of trying. But, it protects the screen great and the anti glare works. Apple needs to come out with an easy to put on screen protector minus the air bubbles.

I was really excited to get this product. I took it out of the package and followed directions but there are tons of air bubbles and they look awful! I tried using the cloth like they said but nothing works. I wanted to protect my new iPod touch but not if it looks this bad.

    Not a good buy

    Written by SS from Hercules

    Jan 14, 2008

I got this at a mac store, went home, and opened it, and there was a HUGE scratch along the front middle part. I still tried it on and there would always be at lease 2 big air bubbles I couldn't get out. so I ended up just getting the incase case which actually is pretty good, I'd give it 4 stars, it fits pretty good

    tags on cover

    Written by LP

    Jan 8, 2008

the tags on the cover that you use to be able to lift off the cover easily are almost impossible to get off. If you do not remove the tag, it shows on the ipod. Any ideas as to how to take these off?
