    It's alright.

Once i applied this, it was very hard to get the air bubbles out because there would always be one little piece of dust that sneaks on it. The texture is nice, and the picture is great, but after a while you see your fingerprints, and it gets scratched as well. I like the back though, it really protects it so that's good, but it should be 5-10 bucks, not 15. Overpriced.

Not "compatible" with iPod Touch 2nd Generation

    Written by AP from Cincinnati

    Sep 17, 2008

The front protector covers most of the screen (leaving a gap) but the back is really a mess. If you haven't noticed already, the new second generation iPod Touch is contoured, and it will not fit as easily as it did on the first generation. Keep this in mind before buying! I would recommend to use this just for the screen protector, and then buy a case to cover the back (assuming you care about scratches.) $15 is a bit overpriced too... when the back cover is essentially useless. A representative at the Santa Monica, CA Apple Store told me that new ones are coming in October!

It just works - On 1st Gen,

It does what it says. As previous reviewers have said, it does not fit perfectly on the 2nd gen Touch. (It's perfect on 1st Gen) There is a little left over space around the edges. I use a case for extra protection so it doesn't affect me, but it you use your touch in the raw, you will need to wait for the 2nd gen version. Besides that, great anti glare coating and it does an even better job keeping finger prints and smudges off the screen. It does not effect the visibility of the screen.

Not really compatible with 2nd gen iPod touch

    Written by KR from Richmond

    Sep 16, 2008

I recently bought the 2nd generation iPod touch. Since the store didn't yet have any cases, I decided to get these screen protectors. While they are moderately effective, they do not cover the entire screen. There is about a 1mm gap around the top of the iPod touch that is exposed. At first, I figured this would be ok, but because it does not cover the entire screen, the edges attract dirt, and bubbles get trapped under the edges. I've had to be rather diligent about cleaning the screen and using a soft card to press out the bubbles. If the product fit the entire screen, as it did for the first generation iPod touch, I'd recommend it. If you purchased an iPod touch after September 9th when they released the 2nd gen, I'd try a different product.

First of all it does not cover the whole back of the ipod. Then if you get fuzz on the screen protecter it does not come off. I dropped the front protecter on the carpet and it was full of fuzz. And then to pay $15 for it, it is not worth it. But it does protect the screen quite well

    Works like its supposed to!

For everyone here who is upset. This is a simple product that requires a little bit of patience and a flexible hand. Things that you require:

    1. A clean room (not necessarily an Intel room)
    2. A Credit card or an object similar to it that is straight.
    3. Scotch tape (in case dust or lint from outer space comes and settles on it)
    4. Apple iPod touch and a hand

Start from the applying it to the screen first its much easier, but also look at the alignment. Then keeping a finger on the screen and using a credit card, flatten it out. Now tell me, is there anything harder to do. If you are that superficial, wash your hands and wear one of those scrubs that doctors wear when they go to perform surgery or deliver babies. This baby will stick and never ask for anything ever again.

    Great for first generation

    Written by DD from Brooklyn

    Sep 13, 2008

I have a first generation 8g and a second generation 32g and this film works great for my first gen ipod touch. On the second generation there is a tiny gap on the front and the back doesn't follow the new contour of the ipod. The back on the second gen ipod touch is more rounded and at least my film is pealing back all the time away from the contour.

    Best screen protector ever

    Written by TM from Carlsbad

    Sep 12, 2008

I find it hard to get excited about something like a screen saver but this one is great. First off let me say that I have put on many protectors over the years and I always get bubbles under them no matter how careful I am putting them on. Not this one. Went on super easy and not a single bubble.

No glare and no more finger prints. With my old screen protector I would clean it several times a day and yet it pretty much always looked like I just used it after eating fried chicken. This one does not show finger prints and after a full days use it looks like it's never been touched by human hands.

This protector also has a slight texture to it that improves feedback and actually makes scrolling much easier.

In the end it feels like I have a new model of iPod Touch that looks and feels better and actually works better.

    Not for 2nd Gen touch

    Written by DK from Linden

    Sep 11, 2008

I had this for my 1st generation touch, and they are amazing, but I picked up one when I bought my 2nd gen iPod touch thinking the screens are the same so it would fit the same, but they are slightly different. When on the 2nd gen touch, there is about 2mm all the way around the screen protector that exposes the touch. So nothing terribly bad, but they should revise it for the 2nd gen. For the 1st gen touch, this is a great product. Thing I like most is the fact that it doesn't show the fingerprints. Overall, great for 1 generation touch!

    Take a test run.

    Written by NB from Portland

    Aug 27, 2008

First let me say that these films are awesome. Perfect fit; perfect application; perfectly removable/reusable. I had absolutely no bubble issue. It literally took me 2 minutes to un-package and apply. Aren't they expensive for a very thin piece of plastic? Yes. Isn't everything by or for Apple? Yes.

Now, my caution to potential buyers: I obtained one anti-glare film and one crystal film when I purchased the same company's Air Jacket (reviewed separately). After reading many reviews, I thought I'd prefer the anti-glare film over the crystal. My reasoning was that it was reported to show less fingerprints, without noticeably altering the image quality. After trying both out (anti-glare first), I found that I prefer the crystal. In my opinion, the image quality is slightly affected with the anti-glare film. It's not a huge biggy, especially if you use your music player mostly for playing music, but I drool at the quality of the screen and don't want a single degradation. So, my recommendation is to view them on another's pod before committing to buying one set. Or, get one of each by buying the Air Jacket, which I also highly recommend, for an additional $15.

The film is perfect, not only does it keep your screen smudge and oil free, it also makes it alot easier to read in bright lights.
The only thing that could have been improved was the size of the back film. But other then that it's great!

These screen protectors are a must for anyone that detests scratches and fingerprints. I bought them the same time I bought my iPod Touch and they were delivered on the same day. I took the iPod out of the wrapping and immediately applied these protectors with no issues whatsoever. If you do happen to accidently get an air bubble, you can just get some scotch tape and put it on one of the corners and it will pick the static cover up with no problem. I got these mainly to keep the fingerprints off of the screen and it's done a great job. You're already spending way too much money for an iPod, you might as well spend an extra $20 to keep it looking new.

Awesome Screen Protector Best There Is

Written by QC from Diamond Bar

    Aug 18, 2008

This screen protector is amazing. When you put it on, if there are bubbles, you can wipe them off. At first when i saw there still were some small bubbles inside i freaked out. But after an hour those bubbles just disappeared. Plus the screen protector makes your Ipod Touch a ton more smudge proof so you don't have to wipe the screen every 10 seconds. Keeps the glare down just like it should and works magnificently. (Now if I can just get a case as good as this)

patience is a virtue. and so is a credit card.

    Written by MW from Wakefield

perfect for the iPod Touch. just bought it, can't even tell.
here's what to do: wash hands, prepare tape,
wipe iPod, and have a CREDIT CARD at the ready.
if there's any dust on the film, use the TAPE.
line up the film with the home button obviously, it's vital.
here's the trick: use the CARD to smooth out the film.
it's straight and the perfect size for this task. no bubbles.

I would definitely recommend buying these for your iPod touch. Yesterday, my iPod fell (face down, of course) out of my purse onto the concrete when I was getting out of my car... and my screen is perfectly fine! The film got pretty dinged up, but the screen under it still looks brand new! These are definitely worth buying!!

These films are just perfect. They are very easy to put on, and they stay in place very nicely. Unlike the other films available for the iPod Touch, these don't get any fingerprints on them, and they have a nice texture to them. If you apply them correctly, you will have a flawless iPod to show everyone.

A Must Have for iPod Longevity

    Written by KP from Northbrook

    Aug 12, 2008

This is a fantastic addition to an iPod Touch, and is incredibly easy to put on. I just installed it last night and it was a breeze compared to the protective screen that I purchased for my BlackBerry. The one for my BlackBerry had a rubbery texture, and to apply it I had to spray my fingers and the screen with an included spray. After that I had to use a rubber squeegee to get out all of the air bubbles. What a hassle! All I had to do for this one is put it on. There are no air bubbles. I put it on right after I took the iPod out of its box. It looks fantastic. The one for my BlackBerry looks rubbery, but this one gives the iPod a matte finish and the texture of the matte display on the MacBook Pro.

The only downside is the responsiveness of the touch screen has decreased to about 95%. It's not a problem, but it is noticeable. That being said, it should not deter you from purchasing this. I also recommend purchasing the Incase Slider and pairing the two products together.

This case works beautifully...just like the reviews say!

    Written by AB from Arlington

    Jul 31, 2008

This case does just what the reviews I read say: it prevents any fingerprints and hasn't gotten scratched yet. I've been using it for about a week. It cleans up with a damp paper towel and doesn't blur the screen at all. I also used the Incase Leather case with this and the two are an unmatched set in my opinion! Definitely get this screen (even without the leather case)!
