    Superior Performance & Portability

    The portable Bose SoundDock has impressed me since the moment I bought it a year ago. I've used it in many situations and in each the Bose System prevailed with honors. Not only does it play for a long time, but it produces great sound. I fully recommend this product for both home and portable use.

    - At a picnic at an open park, we set this guy up and it played for in excess of 5 hours providing tunes for our whole area with ease.

    - While hanging out in a boat we rented, the SoundDock played music for 4 hours loud enough for people floating in the water to enjoy.

    - At a porch party this boombox rocked the entire evening from loud dance music to chill vibes deep into the morning hours.

    JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED

    After months of annoying customers with loud varied music blasting from all they have to offer, i ordered the BOSE. i have had this system in my merc and its awesome, just worried that their system couldn't work in such a small package. but i wasn't disappointed. just like mission cube, room speakers.best things do come in small package. great portability and battery life as well.
    just one word of warning. for all those moaning about ,poor sound at high levels.... just use store bought 'itunes' songs and not ripped, converted mp3s from 'other' places, cos they are found out by the clarity and punch of this system.
    well done BOSE......quality always outs!

    Great, but not awesome

    Sound quality is great, but when playing on maximum volume, it causes some distortions especially on the bass line. Plus it won't work with my bumper on my iPhone 4.

    Otherwise, great product, great portability, great size and great sound!!
    Recommended!!

    I can't live without Bose!!!

    This is the best sound dock ever! Engineered for portability, play it almost anywhere indoors and out. It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 8hrs of power per charge. It reproduces your favorite tunes with fullness and clarity unusual for portable system. I also own the IE2 audio headphone and its sounds great on my iPhone 4 & my iPad. Thank you Bose!!!

    Love the Sound, hate the remote!

    Had this system for a few months, been very happy with it. Sound is totally amazing.
    The remote control is the weak link. Found it never worked well, and eventually it stopped working all together.

    Purchased SoundDock portable 6 months ago, and I have to say this is hands down the best portable player I have ever heard....sound is crisp and clean, this is a well engineered machine...worth every penny!!

    totaly worth the money this is the party object of wereever u take it ( school, town, office.) the only down side is were the handle is, its the same place as th subwofer hole is so your fingers get cold in warm weather and warm in cold wether but it does way a little bit more than exspected

    Be the life of the Party!

    I have had the Bose SoundDock Portable for a long time. It is durable, I know cause mine has seen some abuse. It goes to work with me every day and has been drop a few times. The sound this portable player can produce is just amazing. Every time I get invited to a party, they aways ask me to bring that Bose thing along. I can highly recommend this product. In fact, because of this product I have purchase the Bose SoundDock 10 and Bose Free Space 51 speakers.

    Amazing Sound!

    I have bought other cheaper systems and this one is definitely worth the money! Great sound and I love that it's portable. I take mine camping, to the beach, on holidays, etc. Love it.

    Had this for 6 months now. A buddy of mine even used it for his wedding reception on his yard and it blew peoples minds. Only had one problem. I have a 3GS and it rings all the time. I was listening to tunes one week ago and a call came in. The dock then died and only produced strang noices when I tried to play tunes again. I docked an old iPod and it seemed to re set the unit. Other than that it works awsome. Even took it on a canoe trip in BC. Hooked it up to a car booster pack to save on batteries. Lasted for the entire week long trip while running it for a good 6 hours a day. Love how it is portable. This thing goes everywhere with me. My wife and I even bring it to hotels and never travel without it. Don't buy the non portable version. This one will surprise u at how easy it is to pack and take anywhere.

    Finally!

    For months, I had been turned off by what appeared to be an excessive price for the "Bose" name. I had purchased two smaller portable speakers and they were both disappointing in terms of volume. One afternoon I found myself in a Bose factory outlet store and was once again confronted with this thing and it's price tag. I was going to walk away again until I plopped my iPhone in the dock and turned it on. WOW! I needed a speaker to entertain some teens gathered for the Independence Day weekend and this thing came through. A couple weeks later while at a gathering someone needed some good music fast so I brought out this thing and people were wanting to know where to get one.

    The quality and volume of this portable speaker are amazing. It's well-designed and engineered, and you will find yourself using it more than you anticipated.

    Go get one!

    good, but not enough

    i want to buy a sounddock 10. i went to the apple store in providence today, and they told me sounddock 10 is out of stock. so i bought the portable one. the sound quality is decent(but 10 is way better than this small one). the biggest problem is the subwoofer in this unit is too weak, not good for party. i guess i will return it later and get the sounddock 10 lol

    Perfect Sound but it's scratch

    I bought this product on april..take care if you will clean because it scratch easily. VERY EASILY! the battery really has great length!!

    I woud like to know if it will works with the new iPhone 4!

    Best sounding stereo on the beach!!!

    From Cancun to Miami, I have traveled with my Bose sound dock and it just rocks! The sound is amazing. If your playing some good tunes do not be surprised to attract the attention of other beach goers who make their way towards you to enjoy the incredible sound. This is the best portable Ipod/Iphone player hands down. It lasted for 6 hours at a decent volume. Great crisp bass. Don't settle for anything less than this incredible machine. 5 STARS!!!

    charges the ipod no problem, the control bottoms works flawlessly with ipod. but if you want good sound, just buy a cord and connect it to your mac/pc, it sounds better.

    TRULEY AMAZING!

    I bought the Bowers and Wilkins Zepplin Mini and they were terrible. I then went and returned them and got the Bose SoundDock Portable. AMAZING. Ten times better. Bowers and Wilkins is not to Bose's level yet. Buy these. Worth every penny.

    An Excellent and Very Portable Docking Station

    I was after a portable docking station that I could base in the bedroom yet haul to the bathroom or garage when needed. After a lot of research I decided to plump for the SoundDock Portable because it seemed to be the most portable thing out there with good sound and I have not been disappointed. Fortunately I wasn't too fussed about the price or I would probably have gone for the Philips model. Having decided to spend the extra I am glad that I did. The sound is great, very deep and solid and it is really portable. Just flip out the power cable, even in mid song, grab the handle and away you go. One downside though is the remote....all you can do is change the volume and skip tracks or playlists. No menu operation is possible. Overall, very pleased.
