Great Product - Take your time in applying it.

I've used the crystal film version of this product before on my iPod, along with the Invisible Shield product on my iPhone. The "static cling" is quite strong and holds up well, without leaving residue if you need to remove the product. The matte surface on the anti-glare version is nice as it minimizes fingerprints as well as minimizing glare. The slightly textured surface allows your fingers to glide easily along the screen, making the phone even nicer to use. It feels like youre running your fingers along the back of the iPhone. The phone's display does get a touch more fuzzy, due to the film's matte finish, but i think the glare reduction and nice surface make it a winner. If you want the absolute greatest display crispness, stick with the "crystal" version of this product.

The application is what may trip some folks up. If you live in a dust free environment, it's easy to apply. If dust gets in between this film and the iPhone's glass, it will show up and not look very good. Cleaning the phone display is easy, as it's glass. Since they use some type of silicone on the backside of the film for the static cling, you can remove any dust that sticks to it by rinsing it under some warm water. Don't try to dry the film! If you do, you'll get more gunk on it from your towel, etc. I chose to reapply it slightly wet, which actually worked out very well! The water droplets left on the film helped to keep air bubbles from forming between the film and the glass. Take you time and work on applying it from one end to the other. Patience is important and taking your time will result in a great looking application. All screen protectors require careful application in a clean environment and this one gets 5 stars for a great fit on the iPhone and working as advertised. It even comes with a spare piece of film, so both my wife and I will have anti-glare on our phones. Not bad for fifteen bucks!

It's almost impossible to see any fingerprints on this matte-finish coating, and it's much easier to type on the phone because it makes the surface a little less slippery. Love it. It took a couple of times to apply it dead-center, but now that it's on, it looks perfect.

When I first got my iPhone, I bought the Power Support Crystal Jacket Set which came with the non anti-glare version of this film set. I liked how it protected the screen, but there was one HUGE problem....FINGERPRINTS! Everywhere. I think that I had more fingerprints with the non anti-glare than I did with out it. So...I tried the Anti-Glare Film Set. Finally! No more fingerprints. I love this product if you want the best film set, this is it. It is the same price as the non anti-glare film set and is a billion times better. I do however reccomend that you ask a genuis at the Apple Store to put it on for you. It can be difficult to put on and some how....they can do it! They must be geniuses or something! Well that about wraps it up. Buy this, buy the Contour Showcase, and protect your iPhone. Good Luck! I love this new version of the "film set". The anti-glare matte finish is wonderful, it provides a very satisfying feel (great traction) while significantly reducing any annoying glare. It looks just like the old powerbooks (whose screens I loved).

Ok, the SECRET.. if you weren't lucky enough to apply the film perfectly on the first try (free of those pesky "dust bubbles"), try this:

After a failed application, I took some packing tape and picked up some lint from my shirt (as it is VERY important to reduce the stickiness). I then placed the tape on the film and lifted it clean off of the iphone screen (started at the top). Then, instead of rinsing the film under warm water to remove dust particles (as stated on the package), I used that same piece of not-so-sticky packing tape to remove the dust particles from the sticky side of the film and iphone. After that, I just carefully rolled it back on (bottom to top).

Using the tape seemed much safer than trying to scratch up the corner of the film for removal, and it was much less messy than rinsing the entire thing.

Give it a shot.. it worked for me! Just make sure that the packing/scotch/whatever tape isn't too sticky. Also be sure to take your time.. good luck!

Would of been perfect if...

This product would of been perfect but there were too many bubbles because of dust so I rinsed it under warm water and reapplied. Once I reapplied you could see discoleration due to the water under the film! So I used a piece of tape to remove it and by doing this the entire film bent deeming it useless. Ive yet to recieve any support from Power "Support". Ohh the irony :)

My biggest complaint with the iPhone has been solved. My screen was always getting smudged. I could polish it up, and as soon as I unlocked it, I would have a huge horizontal smear from the unlocking process. It only got worse from there.

This product completely solves this problem. This protector can't really be smeared. It may collect very small amounts of oil over time but it never distorts the screen image.

It does reduce clarity a bit. But it is no different than comparing a non-glossy LCD screen to a glossy one. Plus, does it really do you any good to have a pure glass, high clarity display if it always has smears all over it? My iPhone is much better with this film installed.

The install can be tricky. A lot of people mess it up. You have to treat this as surgery and understand that it is a one time thing and worth the care and effort to do it right. You need a clean workspace. The phone must be very, very clean. Your hands must be clean. Start applying on the end with the home button. Make sure the cutout is even and equal around the home button. I used a credit card to apply pressure with smoothing the rest of the film out while attaching it. The first time I attached it there were some defects under the film... looked like either air pockets or oil. I was surprised that I was able to reapply the film three or four times and finally got it right. I thought it would get worse each time. However, I never touched the bottom of the film. I used adhesive tape to lift the film. The adhesive tape was also a great way to do the initial positioning on the phone and get the film matched up with the home button.

this completes the product in my opinion. gone area all fingerprints and smudges with very little sacrifice in terms of the look of the screen. the protection is nice, but the lack of fingerprints is what really makes this an essential product for me. can't sing it's praises loud enough!

Let's get the downside out of the way first - it is tough to apply the film. You have to be very careful and to do it slowly. Once it's on though, you have the most useful iPhone add-on available. Gone are my finger smudges, gone the oil from my face, and I feel like the phone is more accurate in reading where I touch/tap. It really has made my experience better.

Awesome screen protection from scratches and fingerprint smudges. Does not affect touch screen sensitivity. My fingers actually glide better with this film on. I applied it my first try. All I did was peel back the plastic and apply the film at the same time from top to bottom. Make sure you clean your iPhone from dust and smudges before you apply the film. Most people make the mistake of peeling off the plastic and then applying the film. If you do it that way, you will attract dust. I am beyond satisfied with this product.

This makes using the iPhone feel and look more sanitary. Have any of you seen how nasty the iPhone demos can get you know what I mean. I've had this film on my phone since Saturday and there have been no visible signs of finger smudges.

This is a great product! Ask the geniuses to put one on for you... and go! Save the other one for later. MUCH better than the crystal film, which fingerprints horribly!

I needed something to protect my iPhone face from scratches, and agonized over whether to get the regular or anti-glare films. I opted for the anti-glare film and couldn't be happier. I no longer have to wipe off the face of my phone all the time as the film doesn't collect fingerprints and smears. It also doesn't cause any noticeable dimming of the screen (another concern I had). I also like the tiny bit of texture this film adds - now it's almost exactly like the trackpad on my MacBook Pro laptop, and even easier to use than without a film on the phone. It was very easy to put on - be sure the face of the phone is completely clean (I used the felt cleaner that came with the phone) AND definitely work in a dust/lint-free area. But it was simple to put on, just start laying it down from one end, smoothing as you go. Take your time and you won't have any problem at all.

This is an awesome product. Yes, it's a little tough to put on as do all other protective covering, you've to make sure it's aligned with the phone's borders. It is really an anti-glare, and protects your screen from smudges, and it's easy to clean. You have to anticipate though that it may somehow darken , well just a tiny bit, your screen. I would recommend it to everyone.

Okay, so basically before I bought the film, I was self doubt myself whether to buy it or not. Because I didn't want to LOSE the QUALITY of the IPHONE amazing INTERFACE. But I took a risk and bought it anyway. I just put the film on a few minutes ago, and with some patience--it looks astoundingly amazing. Here are the reasons:

1.) Quality is NOT LOST from the anti-glare coating, keeping the colors on the screen BRIGHT and CONTRASTING.
2.) If tilted, you will still be able to see the screen's contents without any type of difficulty.
3.) Amazing texture, absolutely comfortable and amazing.
BONUS: NO FINGERPRINT SMUDGES. The film doesn't like fingerprints, keeping the iphone looking sexy as usual.

BEST BUY EVER, 5 out of 5!

It takes the glare off the screen nicely! The pictures and movies look even better. I found it easy to apply without trouble with bubbles or dirt like some have had problems with. Highly recommend.

GOT it about a month ago and it cleans great. It is not as clear as the crystal but it is for sure anti-glare. I would suggest to buy it and use it. I would.
