Anti-Glare Film
Lousy Product
Written by JR from Miami Beach
Mar 10, 2009
As soon as I stuck it to my iphone, I gave it a test run and accidentally brushed it lightly with my fingernail. It instantly and permanently scratched the crystal film set. Also, the air bubbles will go away, but if there is even a microscopic particle of dust anywhere near your device, it will leave a permanent little spot. What is the purpose of applying an easily scratched surface on top of an already scratch-resistant one?
The glass on all new iphones and ipods is extremely resilient to begin with. I've had my ipod for 2 years now; it has traveled all over the country with me, and there is not a single scratch on the glass. This is a redundant product. Just wipe your device down with lens cleaning fluid, or use the cloth that came with it and it's good as new.

Buy the Crystal!
Written by AK from New York

Do not buy the Anti-Glare film, but the Crystal. While the anti-glare may avoid fingerprints and glare, it also distorts the screen. I had the Crystal before and simply wanted to try the Anti-Glare out, and it was a big mistake. The Crystal truly feels and looks as if nothing is on the phone's surface. The anti-glare looks - and feels - grainy. Buy the Crystal or try both out in the store (many Apple employees use one or the other).

Anti-Glare Film
terrible

do not buy the anti-glare filmset. Go for the crystal one! The anti-glare distorts the screen terribly. Although fingerprints are virtually non-existent, the degredation in screen quality is not worth it!

Anti-Glare Film
disappointing
Written by GB from Chicago

Pro's: It does prevent fingerprints from showing up.
Con's: The sticky side cannot be cleaned no matter what the company says (which they say to clean it you run it under low pressure running water and let it air dry). Using scotch tape to remove the dust does work but do not leave it on for anything longer than a second since it will remove some of the sticky material of the film (thereby leaving a print). Also the cover does slightly blur the screen which is mostly only noticeable with text. Last, the film does not cover the entire surface of the iphone 3G (do not know about the first iphone). When applied on the 3G, you will have space above the home button instead of the hole being centered around the home button.
If I had to do it over again I would not have purchased this product and just lived with the fingerprints but if I did do it again I would have the apple store put it on for me.4 of 12 people found this useful

Anti-Glare Film
Waste of Money
Written by MP from Columbus

Impossible to apply. After thoroughly cleaning my phone, one small piece of dust caused bubbles to form between the screen and the film. Attempts to remove the film and reapply (there's no tab in the corner for easy removal) caused kinking in the film rendering it completely useless. This happened with both of the films. $15 for this garbage?!? Save your money.

Worthless Better Off Without It
Written by NS

Impossible product they might as well give you at least 5 films instead of 2. It will take you at least 2 or 3 times to get it correct on your phone. Just when you think you have it lined up correct with your phone, it is usually off centered and at least part of it it sticking on the metal sidepiece. Then if you try to take it off to redo it dust particles are certainly going to get trapped under your film. Then it's time to get a new one and repeat the process and try it without being frustrated. Good luck.

Anti-Glare Film
bubbles

I was unable to remove the bubbles between the iPhone and the film despite applying it as directed and despite tedious rubbing and repeated tries. I ended up throwing out the film (and cash).

Not Good..
Written by TG from conyers

The iPhone,of course, easily gets smudged and fingerprints are more visible then anyphone ever made. So, I purchased the power support anti-glare film set for iphone to fix the problem, and putting it on was a bit tricky task but still easy, but after seeing it on the iphone, it "LOOKED HORRIBLE"!!! Not only did it significantly decrease the brightness of the iphone, it also made the images on screen look "stale" because of the ruff, and I mean ruff exterior of the film. Dont buy this product unless u really want to take away from the iphone's beautilful picture quality. If somehow, u do decide to buy this product, you will easily notice the numerous drawbacks of having this anti smudge film and end up throwing it in the trash like I did.

Such a waste of $15 dollars. I wish i could get a refund. The brightness and the clear interface are both gone even though i thoroughly cleaned the screen.
