i bought this screen protector for my new i phone 3G. i love it so much it takes away all of the finger prints so you dont notice them as much as you do on the other scrren protectors and it makes the screen softer and more comfortable for you fingers to use the phone i would definately recommend this product.

    Fantastic

    Written by BA from Cleveland

    Aug 17, 2008

I had a screen protector that came with the case I bought (the Case Mate leather case from the AT&T store, which I am quite happy with). The screen protector only covered the touch screen, and while protecting the screen, was constantly needing to be cleaned and seemed to make my fingers stick to the screen when it was humid, losing a lot of finger swiping ability. I am very happy that I switched over to this protector. Finger prints are never an issue. Every few days I still wipe it down, as I can kind of see the path my fingers take most often, but that's not a problem for me. It also doesn't seem to be affected by humidity like my old one was. I like that it covers the whole face of the phone and not just the touch screen area. And it is indeed residue free upon removal (luckily the old one was as well).

    strange horizontal lines

Written by BT from san diego

    Aug 13, 2008

i have had both the regular and anti glare versions of this film. although the anti glare hides fingerprints and smudges well, when displaying any images / backgrounds with a lot of white, you can clearly see a horizontal line pattern -- something to do with the material of the film, on top what is being viewed. i prefer the one with glare...

    Great Product

I have used a couple of different films to protect the screen of my iPhone. This is without a doubt the best one I have found. I hate the smugs and fingerprints that my fingers leave on the screen. This film eliminates this problem. Yes, there is a very VERY (almost unnoticeable) slight distortion of video quality.

It gets the job done. No more glare, i see people saying it disorts the text. I have yet to see any text where i can't read with the film on. Seriously took 5 seconds to put on. No water or soap for this one. I honestly love it!

    Buy the Crystal!

Written by AK from New York

    Aug 7, 2008

Do not buy the Anti-Glare film, but the Crystal. While the anti-glare may avoid fingerprints and glare, it also distorts the screen. I had the Crystal before and simply wanted to try the Anti-Glare out, and it was a big mistake. The Crystal truly feels and looks as if nothing is on the phone's surface. The anti-glare looks - and feels - grainy. Buy the Crystal or try both out in the store (many Apple employees use one or the other).

A bit grainy but worth it...

Written by JL from El Cerrito

Okay. Seriously, it's not that hard to put on. I made sure to have it under a bright light and wiped it down with a micro-fiber cloth. I gently brushed the remaining lint off the edges, put on some latex gloves (no oils or dirt on my fingers), and wiped it down again for good measure. I peeled the backing off the circle end about an inch and lined it up over the uh, circular button on the phone. Making sure the hole was indeed in the center I eyeballed the edge to make sure it was straight. As SOON as the was lined up I began to slowly lay the rest of the film on the phone while peeling off the remaining backing. The adhesive side seemed to almost absorb the face of the phone. This whole process took about thirty seconds.

The end result is a more grainy looking, textured screen. It's definitely not AS clear, but I'm okay with that since the fingerprints and oils from my fingers are gone. I'll get used to it. Is it noticeably different? Yes. I've been looking at my phone without the film all day and instantly saw the difference when I put it on. BUT, it still looks GREAT and I'll compromise a bit of the clarity to not have to wipe down the screen every time I play with it.

    terrible

do not buy the anti-glare filmset. Go for the crystal one! The anti-glare distorts the screen terribly. Although fingerprints are virtually non-existent, the degredation in screen quality is not worth it!

    Perfect protection

    Written by DP from Canandaigua

In short, Power Support has created the best product of its kind. The film is barely visible on my iPhone 3G, and has not shown any trace of the hundreds of smudges that would have doubtless appeared on a naked screen. In addition to the unbeatable protection, almost non-existent appearance, and fingerprint resistance, the application process was surprisingly easy. After reading reviews here, I expected to apply this three or so times before I got it just right - and I did apply three times, but for two iPhones. One failed attempt and one success for my dad's iPhone (he is the complete opposite of adroit) and one successful application for my own.

Amazing product, easy to use, and well worth the price.

Great protector for your screen. Amazing in that it leaves absolutely NO fingerprints. Your phone looks brand new each time you use it.

The only negative is that it was tricky to install. Comes with 2 in a pack and I messed up the first one learning to apply it. It takes a few tries to get the alignment right. But once it's on, it stays put.

Combine this with a good case or sleeve and your iPhone is happy!

    1 of 2 Must-Haves

    Written by NF from Memphis

I bought this product (and the Agent18 Clear Shield--my other must-have!) when I purchased my iPhone. I am so thrilled with it! I, like others, was skeptical of covering up my brand new iPhone's beauty, but I talk on my phone a lot for work and I didn't want finger and ear smudges constantly all over it. It doesn't ruin the beauty--it preserves it! Not only is it nice to have the anti-glare properties of the film, but it really does protect it from fingerprints.

One tip that I endorse from others' reviews: Get someone at the Apple Store to apply the film to your iPhone. The first guy I asked went and got his coworker, who apparently loves sticking the films on the iPhones. She did such a great job that it looks like the phone came with the film already applied!

This is the most inexpensive and easiest way to protect your iPhone. A must-have!

Any negative to this product, NO!

Written by NK from SAN FRANCISCO

    Jul 28, 2008

This product should come with every iPhone, period.

If you don't buy this, you are missing out on everything that is iPhone, don't think about it, don't consider it, just buy it and change the way you use your phone.

It protects the screen, gets rid of glare, and keeps fingerprints off. And for some crazy reason when you buy it you get 2. This is because there are fools out there who don't own this yet, and you need to share. Duh, so buy and spread the love.

Why would anyone ever rate this negatively? Because they are negative themselves, that's why.

Less Durable Than the Actual Screen

    Written by LM from Watertown

    Jul 25, 2008

My experience has shown the films to be highly scratch-prone. I have since removed them, and am quite happy with my iPhone's naked interface once again. I would advise that if you choose to buy this product, do so because you truly need anti-glare.

    Kind of disappointed

Written by JA from Ann Arbor

    Jul 23, 2008

The screen seems less smudged by fingerprints, but the overall screen has lost the sharp quality that the iPhone is known for. It now appears grainy, making text more difficult to read and bright whites seem like they have tiny multi-colors specs all over.

I'm probably going to take this back and get the crystal clear ones.

    Almost Perfect

Written by AA from Elk Grove

    Jul 21, 2008

    I love this protector film.

I love the matte feeling it gives my screen. I love how it doesn't catch fingerprints or oil from my face when I'm on the phone. It doesn't interfere with the iPhone's touchscreen, it's almost as if there was now film on the screen. I ordered it for the iPhone 3G, but I was sent this one for the iPhone. I didnt want to make my 5th trip to the Apple store in my area to exchange it or exchange it via mail, so I just used it.
Although it doesn't fit my 3G perfectly, the uncovered areas are covered by my hard case.

My only gripes with it are:
    - It really catches on to dust easily. I tried to put on my first film, but too much dust got stuck to the adhesive and I couldn't take it off. So I put on the second one. I've already used both of the films in one fell swoop.

    disappointing

    Written by GB from Chicago

Pro's: It does prevent fingerprints from showing up.

Con's: The sticky side cannot be cleaned no matter what the company says (which they say to clean it you run it under low pressure running water and let it air dry). Using scotch tape to remove the dust does work but do not leave it on for anything longer than a second since it will remove some of the sticky material of the film (thereby leaving a print). Also the cover does slightly blur the screen which is mostly only noticeable with text. Last, the film does not cover the entire surface of the iphone 3G (do not know about the first iphone). When applied on the 3G, you will have space above the home button instead of the hole being centered around the home button.

If I had to do it over again I would not have purchased this product and just lived with the fingerprints but if I did do it again I would have the apple store put it on for me.
