    Attention: Nosepickers

HATE those finger smudges on your iPhone? Don't buy the clear crystal cover, get this anti-glare one instead. Here's the scenario: You buy your iPhone and after day 1 you can't stand the constant fingerprints. You buy the crystal film set and VOILA---still the same "daily" polishing routine---BLAH---who needs that? The anti-glare film set solved all that. Now I polish maybe once or twice a week. Much better. Now here's the deal: I spent 15 bucks already on the crystal clear film before discovering this one... (as the guinea-pig) and this advice will save hundreds from making the same mistake I made. I don't want much, maybe $1 from each customer for my "pain & suffering"... (hehe)... ohhh--OKAY THEN!!... forget it! If you hate the fingerprints buy the anti-glare.

    Anti-Glare is perfect

I applied this to my phone and was astonished how clear I could see the icons. I don't mind knowing that its on there, at least I know its working. IMPORTANT: Be sure that the face of the iPhone is completely clean and clear of any dust particles, because they will show up and cause air bubbles!! I just used the cloth that came with the phone and wiped it off with barely a touch of water. Its incredible and will last a long time.

    The best!

I love this film, I put it on the second I got my iPhone! really easy to install, just line up the hole with the home button and run your finger over it to the other side. I didn't have any problems with dust particles or air bubbles. It adds a nice matte finish to the iPhone and totally eliminates finger prints. Works really well with the Agent 18 EcoShield too.

This is a great addition to your iPhone. I love it because, unlike the iPhone's glass, but doesn't show smudges and finger prints as easily, although I do wipe it down every night just to make sure its as clean as possible.

Definitely worth the $15. A must for all iPhone for owners!

    Very Good Product

    Written by BM from Elkton

I have tried both the crystal film and the anti-glare film. I must say that I like them both. The crystal film is nice in that it is "crystal" and you can't tell you have it on the phone, but once you start using the phone you find yourself cleaning the finger prints off the film all the time. The anti-glare film does not show finger prints nearly as much as the crystal film but you will know that there is a film on your phone. Though you notice the film on your phone, if applied correctly, the film will not detract from the look at all and actually keeps a nicer appearance to the phone as there is not a lot of visual oil marks from finger prints. Bottom line, this of course is a personal opinion, if you are watching a lot of videos and looking at a lot of photos - go with the crystal film, if you are using it for a phone, an ipod, and using the other functions of the iphone and not so much the video - you will be fine with the anti-glare, but you will know there is a film on your phone.

I love this product. I had a hard time putting it on the screen with not one spec of dust but when I did it was awsome. It eliminates the finger prints and it was the best $15 I spent on my iPhone. If you don't buy this you are missing out.

    What's not to like.

Are you reading this to help you decide whether or not to buy?

Buy. You get two of these things in the package. You peel it off the backing and place it on your phone. Simple. No more greasy smears and finger prints. The touchpad works with the same ease as before.

Why 4 stars instead of 5? I would have rated it higher if it had applied its self to my iPhone.

these skins are great. get the anti-glare ones as they are a little thicker. some tips
1- clean the iphone very well
2- put the skin on only when the phone is completely clean and do it slowly
3- if u have dust or air pockets get a peice of scotch tape to lift the skin and with your finger remove the dust then put the skin back on gently not letting any air bubbles

    Unbelievable

Written by MS from Potomac Falls

I got my iPhone and was reluctant to buy the anti-glare film set because i wasn't sure that i really needed it. The film creates a nice texture on the surface of the iphone and does take away the glossy glass face of it and replaces it with the feel of the trackpad on my macbook, while eliminating any smudges or glare that the glass face would have retained. Applying it was simple, TAKE YOUR TIME!! slowly peel back the film from the sheet as you apply, making sure that there are no air pockets as you go along, and if there are, simply pull it back until the air pocket is eliminated and then keep moving down. I applied my film to a brand new iphone and had no problems whatsoever, it was much easier than anticipated.

Im using it on the phone now, but if you can get it on without getting as much as a speck of dust good luck, As soon as you peel off the film its almost like a magnet for dust . But other than that it works great with the touch screen and doesnt move around.

Such a waste of $15 dollars. I wish i could get a refund. The brightness and the clear interface are both gone even though i thoroughly cleaned the screen.

Great product, tricky to use, but multi uses

    Written by TM from Amesbury

    Jan 1, 2008

This is a great product, if you can get it on right. When properly applied, it is virtually undetectable and gives the iPhone a great no-glare "matte finish" look to it. It lets you see the iPhone from a steep angle without reflections. It's a little wider than some of the iPhone cases (I have an InCase rubber thingy for better grip) so the combo of case and film gives total protection. The tricky part is getting it on. One, you have to make sure your iPhone screen is absolutely clean; two, you have to make sure the film is absolutely clean, no dust--it is sticky (but does not "glue" to the screen); three, you have to line it up perfectly; four, you have to make sure there are no air bubbles and sometimes work it for a while to press out annoying bubbles. If this is not done right, you get dust and tiny bubbles caught underneath and it looks perpetually dirty. The good part: If you do mess up a film, save it! By just pressing a used film against the screen, you can remove smudges and dirt--a miracle cleaner! I used it to get rid of that ugly ear smudge and the screen is perfectly clear. Also, after you do this, it seems to protect against finger smudges a little. So at least there's another use for these.

Can't say enough good things about this. It looks great, feels great, protects the screen, and doesn't leave the sticky residue that other screen protectors do. Highly recommended.

I like the way it looks and less wiping now. You have to put it on in a non-dusty/lint free area or you will waste money like me. I messed up the first 2 times and had to buy another pack. The warm water trick does not work and will only frustrate you and get water trapped in between the film and glass which leaves it with a potential water stain. The item is actually a sticker that does not leave residue, they try to advertise it as not being a sticker. It's worth the money. If you like the glass look get the crystal version but be ready to wipe if fingerprints bother you.

Great product, buy with new iPhone purchase!

    Written by DR from Monroe

I bought this product with my new iPhone at christmas time and applied it right after i took off the film that was already on the phone. So far, it hasn't fallen off or even peeled a little on one of the corners yet, and it rubs against my clothing and random cases every day. Put it on in a lot of light, which helps a lot. I haven't even touched on the fact that it shows no fingerprints or oil! I never experienced all the fingerprints, but on my friends' iPhones i can see a lot of smudges and fingerprints. Very good product, everyone should buy!

    Purchased on a Whim...Very Happy

    Written by TA from Hendersonville

While browsing a very busy Apple Store, I reached for the Crystal Film Set, and after browsing the new iMacs for a bit, I happened to look the the film package and noticed it was the Anti-Glare version and not the Crystal version. Upon returning to the iPhone accessories and getting a good recommendation from a store employee, I forked over my money for the Anti-Glare films. The first attempt at installation was mediocre at best. The second attempt was much neater and less bubbly. I was a little disappointed with the amount of bubbles after carefully laying the film on the screen, but it was acceptable. It wasn't until about an hour later that i noticed the bubbles had totally disappeared. The film in totally flat, clean and bubble free. Best of all, no smudges or fingerprints! Image quality is only affected in the most minute amount and is a non-issue for me. Definitely works ad advertised.

I put this on shortly after getting my iPhone. Not only does it help with glare, it keeps your screen from getting fingerprints and looking dirty. The screen doesn't really distort viewing either.

    Highly recommend!

fantastic product; get this over the crystal film

Written by FY from Long Beach

i read many of the reviews of this product, mostly great but a few really bad (usually regarding installation). let me just say that you can't please everyone and there's always someone who's going to complain and blame the product. but look at the number of reviewers and this product rates in the 4.5 stars. trust it. this product is just great. it requires a little forethought, a little preparation, and a deft, patient touch, but we're talkin' 5-7 minutes here, and you'll be happy for the life of the product. make sure you're in a clean, non-dusty, non-breezy, well-lit room first. then make sure you clean very thoroughly the screen beforehand. handle the film carefully and take a look at it so you know where the backing is and how it comes off. apply a piece of scotch tape (on top of the film) to both ends to make your application very accurate. then apply carefully but quickly once you remove the backing, starting at one end and just letting it roll/apply across the length of the screen. if you start getting bubbles, reverse you application gently 'til the bubbles are gone, then reapply. you may need to adjust the positioning a couple of times 'til you get it truly centered. but once it's right, it's dead on and easy. i got both the crystal and the anti-glare (one type for me and one for my girlfriend). i prefer the anti-glare, it's slightly textured, only a little bit darker, but leaves absolutely no fingerprints or smudges, which the crystal film does. voila! done. it's perfect. invisible protection. the people who complained about the installation process can whine about it while looking at their scratched, smudgy, haggard-looking screens!
