Amazing, but if it gets dusty...

I love this product, but I give it 4 stars because there should be a big label to either have the apple people put this one, or the following instructions. Otherwise once you get dust on the "stick" side you are over it:
Removing dust:
1. Run the shower for a few minutes with the door closed until a good amount of steam builds up in the room (got this step from another reviewer of this product). Turn off the water and keep the doors closed. The steam will settle the dust in the room and it cools and sinks. Only need to wait 5 or so minutes.
2. Run the film under some water in the same bathroom sink and take a good clean soaked sponge and wipe the sticky side in one direction the full length a few times (might have to have a light near by to hold it up and make sure all the lint-dust is done). Wipe, rinse, wipe, rinse until its completely free if dust and specks.
3. Once its totally clean set it on a clean flat surface (but with an edge so you can grad the film from under) with the sticky side up and leave the room, closing the door. Let it dry for about an hour (the sticky side dries very quick and you can touch dry the other side) and then attempt to apply in the bathroom. Might seem paranoid but when you enter/exit the bathroom try to move slowly as to not draw in dust from the air outside the bathroom.
This is the best method I can come up with and it worked for me on the first try, after dropping the film on a carper floor and it getting covered in dust and flecks. You might have to "rinse and repeat" but it should work 100% like it did for me.
Trust me its worth the process. Even one bubble due to a fleck of dust or lint can ruin the visual quality of the device and thats why we are all buying these films instead of some crazy case.
Other than that it is a great product. Lives up to the promises on the package which is a rarity these days. I really like the fact that it makes the screen look and feel like my laptop non-glossy screen. If you wanna know how it will look/feel look at a macbook pro and drag your finger across the screen. That is exactly how it will be.
If you like the fact that your iphone is reflective on the screen and has that gloss look then do not get the anti-glare, get the crystal ones.

These film protectors are really great after you stick them on, because not only do they protect the screen, but they also don't get fingerprints on them. The only MAJOR problem is that putting them on is EXTREMELY hard mainly because if one tiny speck of dust lands on the screen while you are putting them on, air bubbles form and if you try cleaning it off even more dust specks go on it. I even had to buy TWO packs to get them just right! The first 2 were a nightmare that I even had to throw them away! But once they are on, its clear PERFECTION!

I love the look and feel of it--you can hardly tell a film is there. The screen is just as bright and beautiful as without. It doesn't interfere with the touch at all, but it does feel like the screen is well protected--it is quite thick and firm.
It basically goes on automatically without bubbles if you just work from one side to the other. It's true that you must make sure to work in a dust/static free environment. God help you if you get a hair or something underneath while you're putting it down!

This film set is my favorite way of protecting my iphone since it takes up virtually no extra space and it protects the screen from all scratches. The only problem i would ever have with it is that the application is a bit tricky. But if you get that right, it is perfect

This is a must buy. Doesn't show finger prints, completely scratch resistant, and easy to put on. Trust me, buy this product.

I was unable to remove the bubbles between the iPhone and the film despite applying it as directed and despite tedious rubbing and repeated tries. I ended up throwing out the film (and cash).

Normally I hate products that change original appearance of the device but this product is a must-have. Having installed one right from day one I did not fully appreciate the anti-glare properties until I compared to a co-workers unit. The different was amazing with minimal impact on screen contrast. I will never stop using this product!

As much as it chagrins me to mention it, I actually was TRYING to buy the screen protector for the iPod touch, NOT the iPhone. But, thanks to my own haste and a mildly un-observant salesperson, I only realized AFTER getting home that the product I'd bought didn't... well, it didn't really fit.
Here's the catch though: after opening the packaging AND realizing the fit was off, I installed it ANYWAY... I was THAT impressed with how easy it was to attach and how robust the screen's material is. I had tried earlier to apply a screen that came with my DLO skin, and it was a NIGHTMARE. 5-10 tries, and horrible amounts of bubbles each time. This product, on the other hand, practically FELL into place, with zero bubbles, on the first try. I was so surprised I actually took it off and did it AGAIN just to see if it was luck. It wasn't. I think it says something that even though I bought the wrong screen, I'm KEEPING it and feel no pressing need to go out an buy the RIGHT one anytime soon.
The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is that, as good as it is, I can't honestly say it's worth $16 (with tax). $11-$13 would have locked this in at 5 stars, no doubt about it.26 of 31 people found this useful

anti-glare film + incase slider case = awesome combo
Two great products that go well together.
If you do get both i suggest putting the case on before installing the film. This way the film is aligned perfectly with the case, some corners are a little tricky to get down while its on but once the films down it works great.

this is the best accessory i've seen for the iphone. not only does it do a great job of protecting the screen from any scratches, it doesn't leave any fingerprints, it's reusable and it GREATLY improves the feel of the touch screen. it makes it feel like a brand new track pad on a macbook, but doesn't wear out. seriously, a must-have product.

I recently bought this film and the crystal film set after I read the mixed reviews for both of them. I didn't have much of a problem getting the film on using the scotch tape method on both ends of the film mentioned in reviews for the crystal film. The one thing I didn't like about this film is that it gives the screen a "matte" type look. The screen isn't as bright and you can tell there is a cover on the phone. But it was great for not leaving any fingerprints or smudges. And the functionality of the screen is not decreased. So pretty much if you don't care that you can see a film on the phone and that the film takes a little away from the screen then this one is for you, if you do care about those things then the crystal film is the best bet.

After I got my iPhone (being the neat freak I am) I realized I needed a cover for it that wouldnt create smears. I'm not a fan of finger prints or make-up on my phone. However, this film kept all of that off. I've had it for 3 months and it hasn't started peeling off or showing any signs of wear. My iPhone has been through quite some abuse and still has no scratches to the screen thanks to this. The ONE problem I have is sometimes it gets little crumbs or dirt stuck in the edges of it, but so does the iPhone itself because of the crease between the chrome and screen. So unless Apple fixes that, this is the best film you can get! :)

Great product for the iphone! Not only does it make viewing the screen easy in sunny areas, it prevents fingerprints from showing up on the screen. The best part is, when it gets dirty all you need to do is rinse, let dry and then reapply.

The first time I put the film on I got a lot of air bubbles and when I used a credit card to smooth them out, it scratched up the film! Thankfully there was another one to try again but I got help...while one person holds the phone still start from the home button and place the film on while smoothing out the air bubbles. Got it on perfectly the 2nd time. Looks great and responsiveness is like there isn't anything on. Very glad I bought it.

Between my iPhone and my girlfriends iPod touch, we've tried every screen protector made. Since I'm a little OCD about greasy streaks on the screen of my iPhone the anti-glare film is perfect for me. It completely removes any finger or face oil smudges. If you're looking for a solution like I was, this is the one to get.
I don't have a single negative thing to say about the films. I just wish there was a device, like labeling CDs or DVDs, to accurately put the films on without a struggle.49 of 58 people found this useful

I am keen on fingerprints and the glare from walking in the sun makes my squint. I was looking at crystal films and thought the $14.95 would not be worth this film set.
I bought it earlier today and put it on my iPhone, inside an Incase Slider case. It works perfectly for all my needs. The glare is gone. The responsiveness of the touch screen has improved.
The fingerprints are not an issue anymore on the screen. However, the Home button is not covered. I understand that the Home button needs some freedom to be pressed with ease, but I would have liked this film set to cover that, as well.
Definitely worth the $14.95.
Application was a cinch, also. It fits to perfection. I lined up the film set with the ear-hole and the Home button. It is easier to start from the Home button to get it centered.31 of 43 people found this useful

Top grade protection for your iPhone

I have used various makes of the "premium" films on my 8GB iphone and were usually disappointed. Most of them were difficult to apply and forms bubbles (not a expert in apply such film). In addition, most films will have oil residues and finger prints all over.
Bought the Anti-Glare a couple of days ago and apply it on my new 16GB iphone. The film fall nicely on the screen surface without effort and best of all, NO BUBBLES..... Some said the film makes the color looks dull but I find the color to be deeper and most important, no oily residues and finger prints.

The iPhone,of course, easily gets smudged and fingerprints are more visible then anyphone ever made. So, I purchased the power support anti-glare film set for iphone to fix the problem, and putting it on was a bit tricky task but still easy, but after seeing it on the iphone, it "LOOKED HORRIBLE"!!! Not only did it significantly decrease the brightness of the iphone, it also made the images on screen look "stale" because of the ruff, and I mean ruff exterior of the film. Dont buy this product unless u really want to take away from the iphone's beautilful picture quality. If somehow, u do decide to buy this product, you will easily notice the numerous drawbacks of having this anti smudge film and end up throwing it in the trash like I did.

I first try the crystal that works well but still getting fingerprints which I hate, so I decided to try the anti glare that is so much better. There are no more smudges or fingerprints all the time, my phone looks wonderful and it's much better using the touch screen without worring about getting any fingerprints and smudges from my makeup when I use my phone. The only thing that you have to do is to intalled it propertly and you will not regret it. I followed another reviewer recomendation and at the first try was perfect.
Use the shower to steam the bathroom, that means that there will be no dust and use the lintless cloth to clean you iphone. Then peel it back and hold by the edges like a dvd, please try to take your time and lay down the protector, line up the home button and the edges, take away any airbubbles and you are all set.
