Excellent for wall and ceiling mounting

We use Airport Extreme access points in our office and the H-Squared mounts are excellent for mounting these out of the way.

A must have for the Extreme router!

    • Written by from Wahiawa

Bought this to expand my network to the upstairs in my house. It fits well and secures the Extreme on my wall about 4 feet up. The best part is that it comes with a bracket to hang the power cord also. Neat and stylish and clean looking install. Took me about 10 minutes to put it up and could not ask for a better product. Can also mount sideways if you want it to. A+++++++

A little overpriced and easily broken

    • Written by from Texarkana

This mount works well but make sure that you very carefully hand tighten it or it will snap, also seems to be overpriced for a piece of plastic

    H-Square Mount/Cord Mount

    • Written by from Camarillo

Take your time during the installation of the mount if you are not sure of yourself. Well worth the money. Mounts easily enough. To ensure prevention of cracking the plastic, tighten the screws just snug enough to where the mount will not move. Enjoy.

    Great mount

I know its a great mount. After you install it it really is what you are looking for your Airpot Extreme... the only reason Im giving 4 stars is the price... its a piece of plastic!(very well designed) and thats it!

    Looks Good

    • Written by from Powell

This device looks nice and is easy to mount, but I really didn't read the reviews before I purchased it. NOTE: Don't use the 4 holes in the middle of the bracket!!! If you don't use spacers, it will break immediately. The screws were not even tight, the mount was still movable and guess what? It already broke into two pieces! Be careful, because $40,- for a broken piece of plastic is not what you want. In that case, I would expect a little more from an APPLE part...

A good thought for the Airport Extreme

Useful product, but requires care in mounting

    • Written by from EASTON

This is a useful device, allowing the Airport extreme to be mounted on a vertical surface, but requires care in mounting. The mount is made of a thick clear plastic, with 12 countersunk holes for screws to attach the mount. There are 2 ridges on the back to offset the mount from the surface on which it is to be mounted. The problem is that 8 of the holes are in the center away from the ridges, and if the screws in these holes are tightened too much, the plastic can break. My recommendation is to use plastic spacers that hardware stores sell for mounting pegboard.

    Excellent design; works well.

    • Written by from Lyme

This is a very cleverly and carefully designed product. Ir comes with the pre-drilled Lexan mount for the Airport Extreme as well as with molly bolts for mounting it to drywall. Ours went up in just a few minutes. The grooves on the Extreme slid into the tabs on the mount easily and the shelf at the bottom stopped ours cold. The kit includes a small mount for the power supply. The only 'trick' to using this is that one must unplug the power cord, which then fits through the oval hole in the mount properly and plugs back in to the power supply unit. This 'tricky' part took about 15 seconds to figure out.

The mount is strong, the Extreme works very well in it. I at first resented the price for a hunk of plastic. I now figure I paid 35 bucks for the design and 5 bucks for the plastic. I found it well worth it.

    Looking Better While Working Better.....

    • Written by from Renton

In A Nut Shell my Airport Extreme is now mounted upside down on the ceiling with absolutely no wires showing, I purchased an add-on accessory USB LED Light that locks into the Acrylic Plastic underneath on the Air Mount that plugs into your once useless USB/Service Port that makes your Air Mount Glow! My Airport Extreme range & speed has improved about 30% by mounting my Airport Extreme on the ceiling using the H-Squared, LLC Air Mount! My Airport Extreme is up there glowing & showing itself off! Basically looking better while working better! I also Purchased the Air Mount TC for my Time Capsule & tvTray Mount for my Apple TV & they to are also “Looking Better While Working Better"!! Very Solid Acrylic Plastic! Very Easy To Mount! Highly Recommended to all Airport Extreme, Time Capsule & Apple TV owners.........

The mount itself is fine, but the little mount that comes with it to hold the AirPort Extreme power adaptor does not fit the cables. For an item that was priced at a premium, I expect everything to at least be the right size.

    Lack of ... But Great

    • Written by from Woodland Hills

Instructions weren't clear, but after some thinking figured out. Directions could be made clearer then what is currently being provided. The design is clever and holds very well. Other then that, the mount is strong, sturdy and makes the AirPort look amazing.

It Works Great, But The Price Is High

    • Written by from Del Mar

While I appreciate the nicely manufactured lexan of the mount (not to mention that you can install a LED behind it that powers off one of the USB ports - how cool), paying an extra $40.00 for something that was included with the original saucer-shaped base stations irks me. Granted this mount is a much heftier one, but I never had one of the original ones break, even after repeatedly mounting and dismounting base stations.

I had no difficult mounting the base station with this one, and it is held quite securely. Perhaps those having problems did not get the side tabs mounted in the grooves on sides of the base station. It is held so tightly that it can hardly slide at all, and the stop keeps the base station in quite securely. Additionally, the mount can be installed so the base station is horizontal (allowing you to see the operation light with out getting down on the floor, and keeping the dust from settling in the open ports), in which case it can't go anywhere at all.

This is a great product, and if the price were more reasonable I would have given it all 5 stars.

    Airport Slides past the stop

    • Written by from Buffalo

I like the looks, but the Airport slides past the stop at the end of the bracket. I installed three of these brackets and the little tab that acts as a stop is not tall enough to stop the airport from sliding out of the bracket. They need to make the tab taller. Seems odd that this would not have been caught in the design phase, but maybe it is a problem in manufacturing. I'm still going to buy these, even at this outragious price, because what's the alternative?

Works great and wires not an issue

    • Written by from Bellevue

This mount was perfect for our needs. Works just as advertised and the wires went right behind the mount. We tried it in both horizontal and vertical mounting and it really does help the range and speed of the Airport Extreme. Well worth the purchase price. We plan to get more.

    Great mount!

    • Written by from Old Saybrook

I own and operate a hotel in CT. Before we had one Linksys WAP54G and 5 linksys access points. Each with there own problems. Droped signals, ect. So, we opted to get three extremes. We mounted the extremes on three floors, on the ceiling. Had an electrician wire the airports for power and with ethernet wires. What a difference in appearance. Guests do not even notice the airports. Mounting them on the ceiling, prevents theft. this mount is a must for any extreme owner.

..Uhm.. what about the wires?..sounds great to be able to mount it from anywhere even the ceiling, but what about the wires to connect it to the modem etc. .. even the power cord.. wouldnt that totally kill the look?!

It is the best thing since sliced bread! I think it is soooo cool. We have it on our ceiling downstairs, and it works everywhere in our entire house ( we have a big house) Everyone who owns an airport extreme should get this awesome little thing.
